I had already filled out the forms online so that saved a lot of time. First, I had x-rays taken and cleaning done by Gina who was very friendly and competent. Then, Dr Espinoza who was also very polite and friendly did the check up and recommendations. The office is in a quieter area of Bayonne so there was no problem finding street parking being that I'm a resident. Make sure you have a resident pass. If you're visiting from another town I would suggest parking on Broadway (metered parking). I'll keep going to Bayonne Smiles for my regular check up and treatment and will update my review afterwards.

I even made another appointment for the next day somewhere else incase I didn't feel okay. Let me tell you, Dr. Singal let me talk about all of my fears and anxiety, I cried and she held my hand. There was no judgement here, we just have to work towards a solution. By the end of the appointment we had done half of a deep clean & I was coming back the next day to finish. I cancelled my other appointment and kept going with Dr. Singal. It's been 4 months and we have tackled, a deep cleaning, 6 fillings, 3 root canals (from a specialist referral, they were also fantastic. No pain!) Now 3 fillings & 3 crowns. The dentist, Paul Kim, has poor bedside manner and consistently made me feel foolish and like I was overreacting when I was nervous about procedures like drilling a cavity. On multiple occasions I had to stand outside the front door and wait in the cold as he was 20 minutes late for a 9am appointment. When he came in, he didn't apologize but instead blamed his staff for the mistake. Why would you keep scheduling 9am appointments if you're going to be late? The final straw - I called to reschedule an appointment because I am congested and I was lectured by the front desk attendant, who became sharp with me, "threatened" me with a late rescheduling fee, and was just generally unprofessional with a multiyear customer. There are so many other dentists in Jersey City. This place isn't particularly cheap, the dentist is aloof, and the front desk will scold you. Look somewhere else!

I went in for wisdom tooth extraction and evaluation for an additional medical condition. Dr. Wang explained what the other condition was, how we could treat it, the options, etc. He was very patient and helped set up a treatment plan without being pushy or rushing me to decide. During the actual tooth extraction, his bedside manner was great and I appreciated the light jokes that were to help with my anxiety towards the extraction. I am a data scientists and appreciated the nerdy dad jokes. Ebony and the other staff were also great, they made sure I was comfortable and feeling OK and even followed up with me the day after extraction to make sure I was recovering well. Finally, I appreciate the COVID precautions. I was the only patient in the office and they make a good effort to limit exposure to other patients. Maybe the only downside are the pre-appointment forms. They aren't the best for mobile platforms and that little bit could probably use some tweaking but its a small inconvenience in contrast to the overall great experience.
