I had a minor fender bender and took my car to Gerber The facility was spotless and organized they kept in contact with me by text during the repair and got my car done two days early The repair was spotless and perfect Should I ever need their services again, I will not even think of going anywhere else Thank you for everything read more

Bad experience. Several faults on their end due to a poor job and communication. I had my car ready for pick up and when I got there they forgot to change the plastic covers on the wheels. They also did not reset my car so I couldn't use my car stereo or screen. I waited over an hour for this. I also had to come back due to a USED headlight they installed that allowed water to go in and shorted the rest of my electronics to the point where my car became inoperable and I had to get a tow. Waste of time and I have to waste more money for a rental vehicle. Edit: I spoke to Corey and he was very helpful, I was advised the headlights issue wasn't completely their fault since insurance did approve of it beforehand . I still think this could've been prevented. read more

We were having compilations dealing with the dealership .I stopped in to gerber hemit to see if they could order a shield for me for the bottom our car . They were super nice . Literally have nothing but great things to say about this place. This was the first time I've ever got my car repaired due to an accident and Corey at Gerber collision made it nothing but a smooth and easy process. The whole process went over schedule for about five days because we had a couple snags with sourcing the parts, but Corey at Gerber collision called me every step of the way even if I did not answer, he would leave me detailed voicemails letting me know exactly what is going on When the car was ready for pick up. I told Corey that my school schedule might interfere with me having to pick up the vehicle he offered personally to come pick me up or to stay after that way I could pick up the vehicle. They treated me like family here at this facility and I would recommend them 100% when I did pick up my vehicle, I noticed that the air conditioning was not working. It was blowing, but it was not blowing cold. Corey told me no problem at all bring it in. I dropped it off in the morning and four hours later he called me saying that he personally checked and everything is working just fine thank you everybody at Gerber collision for your hard work and restoring my vehicle back to its factory self read more

I highly recommend Gerber for any repairs needed from accidents. I've used them three times and three times they have taken care of the repair quickly, with updates and information during the repair, and with no issues. read more

So sad to see all these 1 star reviews I recently took my car to trash can , and I am incredibly disappointed with the experience. The staff displayed a terrible attitude and showed a complete lack of customer service. The unprofessionalism and lack of respect I experienced at this runn down hole were unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this shop if they expect decent customer service and a respectful attitude. Steven was the worst of them all I'm reporting to the BBB as well read more

My vehicle was sent to this shop for estimate and repairs. When I arrived for my estimate they stated that they were too busy to do my estimate and that he would take care of it the next day. The vehicle was there from 8am until 6pm. on top of that the woman who I spoke to in the office was very rude and this is me say it nicely, if you are referred here I would think twice about it terribly managed staff and poor customer service. read more

Great customer service and atmosphere as soon as you walk In the door. Amazing service from staff and auto body shop, super clean work. Every time i had questions no matter the time someone always answered and I never had to wait long for a response. They work with you and are super personable. Highly recommend . TLDR: outlandish quote, asinine suprise fees, poor/rude customer service. My car was brought to the shop after an accident, my insurance picked it I didn't get to choose. They gave my insurance company such a large outlandish quote that they decided it was better to total the car rather than do repairs. I'm entitled by my insurance to get a second opinion (they even reimburse you for towing to another shop so it's encouraged) so I called Gerber and told them I was going to have the car towed from their shop to another autobody shop. When I called them, they said "OK no problem" and that was it, they said nothing else. I called a tow company, PAID them, and they show up at Gerber, only to be told, they can't take the car. The reason? I apparently owe them an over $200 "disassembly fee." Apparently, when they were assessing the damage, they took my car apart and they wanted to charge ME for that, and they wouldn't let the car be towed until it was paid. The lady on the phone didn't tell me this when I called, which would have been nice to know, and when I asked why she didn't tell me she ignored me and didn't answer. So to recap they took my car apart (making the damage worse) to "assess" it, gave me a random surprise fee, and were rude when I asked why I wasn't informed of the fee. Horrible company, avoid at all cost. read more

I dropped off my car April 1st. Was told it would be done on the 28th and that they would text me if there's issues. Today, the 28th, I call, and after ten to fifteen minutes of no response I finally find out that the bumper for my car is on back order and it will take an unknown amount of time to fix. This was not communicated to me, despite being told of any delays come up, I would be notified. I have had no car, no transport, for a month. Now it will be longer. The communication with customers leaves much to be desired. I will not be coming back or recommending this location, if not the entire company. read more

I got a new car frame from this business a while back when they were called 1st Certified Collision and the paint started peeling after 6 years. I don't know what kind of cheap auto paint they used to cut corners with but it's unacceptable. I have a 2007 Corolla that's always parked in the sun and the paint is not peeling anywhere. My 2015 Corolla that got fixed up by this shop is peeling on the roof and corners. Original paint is not peeling anywhere except the parts that they replaced. Very annoying and disappointing, especially since my 16 year old car that's always parked in the sun and has the original factory paint is just fine. read more

I am two time customer here at gerber! I would first off start by saying, the staff is very nice, my experiences with getting vehicles repaired have been in a timely and professional manner. Had my vehicle repaired at the recommendation of my insurance company. They did not disappoint. My service advisor Cory helped me understand the repair process. He walked me through every step. His communication was great called me twice a week to keep me updated. When I picked up my vehicle the manager Steve walked it with me and showed me their work. I will say it looked better then new. Steve was amazing as well. This has been a very pleasant experience. I would recommend them to all my family and friends. read more

I was in a car accident and the other driver was 100% at fault. Although I should not be concerned- but what looked to my untrained eye to be approximately $5000 worth of damages ended up being $11,000+. It was a severe accident but the car looked better than I felt. The impact was in the front of my NX 300 Lexus, 2018. Also my car was held for about a month before repairs were done. So I was not impressed with the time needed to fix the vehicle nor the cost involved. Otherwise-they did a great job overall read more

My 2006 Chevy Silverado was taking to the San Jacinto facility after an accident. The communication from that facility is less than satisfactory. I thought because of the year of the truck it would be totalled out, however to my surprise my insurance deemed the truck repairable. That was over a week ago. I called the shop requesting a status, they don't know when or if they get the parts to repair my truck. I need my truck! read more

If you need a value fix it's ok but if you have a car you really like and want done right I would not recommend this place had to return my wife's vehicle 3 times for a simple bumper and splash shield repair and my vehicle 4 times to be repainted. Had to replace my front grill after was falling off all the internal clips had been broken off. Had to replace all my push pin clips had mismatched old pins and even some screws installed instead of the correct pins. Yeah, they have a lifetime warranty but I would rather not go back. I should have never taken both vehicles to the same location. Well hope this helps someone. read more

I took my car into have the hood repaired as I hit a curve and caused a gap where the fender and hood connect on the passenger side. They told me it would be two to three weeks. I just got my car back and it looks the same, actually a little worse, than when I took it in. The hood fender and hood still do not meet and there is now a gap by the windshield where the hood should connect near the passenger door. I am very disappointed after receiving the $4,000.00 bill. The service, attention to detail on what my car actually needed repair and the estimate that seemed very fair in terms of cost and time was appreciated. Thank you Travis for looking at the damage to my side mirror and narrowing in on what needed to be replaced. I wanted to compare an estimate from another place (Fix Auto) where they wanted 2.6 times higher than 1st Certified. When you are paying out of pocket and have access to how much a part costs... the consumer can now see with complete transparency how much Auto shops charge. Like I mentioned I felt 1st Certified was *fair* in their assessment and I didn't feel like they were trying to take advantage. read more

I came in to Gerber Collision after a fender bender for an estimate and to be honest I felt like I was going to get the "shiny" talk , but that's not what happened at all. What an experience! This place was recommended to me by a friend who had gotten his vehicle hit and said nothing but good things about it. A gentlemen by the name of Ron assisted me through a rather seamless process and worked alongside my insurance(usaa), aside from the headache of having my vehicle out of commission . Ron made sure everything was going to be ok and he would ensure that I got my vehicle back as if I drove it off the dealer lot. I just want to thank everyone at 1st certified in hemet for not only taking care of my vehicle but me as well. It was a very stressful time and it made it easy dealing with those who actually care about putting out quality work. I will definitely be recommending this place for anyone in need. Not sure if Ron and his team will see this but please tell them to keep up the good work and putting customers needs first. read more

The guy who came out to look at my car didn't understand my needs at all and became irrational when I kept trying to explain. I had an appointment for an estimate and when I took my car in, the receptionist said I wasn't in the computer and she could get me in another day. There were other employees standing around and I was frustrated with their "I don't care" attitude. I didn't want to have to deal with that in the event I had any kind of questions or issues with the repair. I just dropped into another shop and instantly had someone out taking pictures and had me on my way. Literally 5 minutes of my time although I'm sure writing up the estimate took longer. I don't understand why that was such a problem at Gerber. read more

My car was in the shop for 29 days. We received the car with no gas, not even enough to drive to the gas station. AAA had to bring me gas to a busy intersection where the car stopped and I had my kids in the car. I stopped by today to talk to someone about this because my car had gas before it was towed to their facility in Hemet. Thomas Frazier general manager became argumentative, pointing his finger saying to me that it was our fault the car didn't have gas. Apparently they don't read the gas or mileage gauges when a car is towed so he couldn't prove to me it did have gas and he wanted me to show him or prove to him that it did have gas when it was towed. I told him I only have the Costco gas receipt but I wasn't going to show him that. He was saying it was my fault and that it's not in their policy they fill up on gas. I was not there for gas reimbursement, I was there so he could acknowledge the risk they put my children in and that they return the car the same way they received it l...with gas! He needs serious de-escalation training, customer service training, proper etiquette when speaking to customers. I've already called USAA to file an official grievance for his behavior. He is the face of Gerber and my children should never be at risk! He was trying to intimidate me. Do better Gerber. USAA find places that treat customers right! read more

Approximately 2 months ago my Toyota Tacoma was severely damaged due to auto theft, vandalism Thomas Frazier (Director) promised me that while the damage was very severe that he would personally see to it that everything would be back to original (OEM) parts, without the use of aftermarket as much as possible I so understand that getting parts can be troubling in todays environment. The work was quite extensive Gerber Collisions expert team of body repair technicians did a great job putting all of the pieces back into alignment within 1/8" tolerance like fender to door, hood to fender, like I said their was much work needed, this does not include all of the (unseen) work completed that is out of view, Thomas Frazier kept me updated as work progressed which was instrumental for the piece of mind, The paint and clear coats are the icing on the cake smooth without the orange-peel, or blemishes Overall my wife and I highly recommend Gerber collision and glass and will always recommend their services to any one who asks, Thank you Thomas Frazier and all of the Gerber collision team who took part in this endeavor your friends, Jim and Denise H. read more

My car was in their shop from 08/01/2022 to 09/30/2022. There was a back ordered part from Honda, and I was willing to say "it's not their fault" because in this economy, post COVID/pandemic, there are shortages and back orders. HOWEVER, two days after receiving my car, it now honks when I push to start. This NEVER happened before. Not even after it was rear ended with body damage, NO damage was done to the front/engine, etc. The entire experience of dealing this this company and their poor customer service has be convinced they intentional rigged my car to make a honk sound every time I push to start. That being said, I'm taking my car to Honda for a diagnostic test because I don't know what else they could have done to my car. read more

Do not take your business to these people, you have been warned. My new vehicle got hit on the driver side. My insurance recommended these guys. They complete the work in 8 days, I come to pick up and the work looked like a child was learning collision repair. Door misaligned, plastic molding hanging off, pits in the paint, overspray globs. Embarrassing on their part to try and pass this off as professional work. I refused the work and they held my car hostage for over an additional month. It took going on social media blasting them and my insurance to get them to start to respond to me. Oh yeah, I didn't mention... They will not communicate with you. And if they do, they will lie. They attempt to repair your vehicle as cheap as possible so they profit, and hope you are just excited to get your car back and not notice. Their corporate people are just the same, a big circle of liars and con men. Stay away. Even after everything was said and done, my vehicle still had issues. Overspray pain all over my windshield. They also damaged my vehicle further and had to fix that, stuff that had nothing to do with the initial repair. Do your research and find a shop that are actually pros and not scam artists like Gerber Collision. Communicating with your customer is of utmost importance, these guys failed at every level and didn't bother ever trying to rectify the issues. I get notified the work should be complete and ready to pick up the next day 6 times, each time the next day comes and they don't bother calling or following back up when you call. Once things got really bad they started making promises they never bothered keeping. I never asked for anything but my vehicle repaired properly, but they promised to clean the vehicle very nicely and to put gas in the tank. Neither occurred, they left trash in my car (not my trash, their trash!), they didn't vacuum out all the filth they tracked in, and just simply hosed the car down as was apparent with all the dried water spots. The car was no more than 2 weeks old when they received it, had virtually no miles on it. It was towed to them yet they put on more miles than makes sense. You'd imagine maybe at most a couple miles from moving the car in and out... but yeah, not what was going on here. This company was the worst I have ever dealt with, I went into this hopeful and in good spirits, the accident was 100% the others fault but in the end these guys just seemed to want to punish me for not accepting the horrible work they initially did. Unprofessional, not trustworthy, not worth the stress they cause. read more

My bf and I got into an accident on February 14th en route to our hotel in Valley Center. My insurance company recommended that I take it to their authorized body shop in Hemet. I decided to put my trust in them instead of getting the car towed all the way back home to Santa Monica because of my insurance company's recommendation and also did not want to cancel our hotel reservations last minute and incur any charges. Our contact person's name was Lexi. She is the only reason why I believe they deserve one star. If it was just based on her alone, I would be giving them 5 stars. She communicated all the information and worked with me from start to finish. She always kept me informed of all the repairs and kept me in the loop every step of the way. I was initially told that the repairs would be done about approximately 3.5 weeks give or take a couple of days. After the 3 week period, I follow up and I was told that they were having problems with their painter and there would be a slight delay. I told her it was fine and that delays happen all the time. I would follow up with her the following week. I told her that because Hemet is 2 hours one way, I would need to make arrangements because it would take a whole day to go back and forth to pick up the car. Long story short, I was finally was able to pick up my car on March 22nd, almost 6 weeks later. Although it took longer than expected, I was just ecstatic to have my vehicle back. That happiness was short lived. After I picked up the car, it wasn't until I reached the freeway that I noticed that my radio wasn't reset. It usually requires a code in order to return it to factory settings. Called their office and was told I had to call Honda. Honda told me that they should've reset it at the body shop and that they could do it for me, but it would require me having the car at a complete stop. Wasn't able to do that because I was on my way back home so pretty much sat in traffic for 3 hours with no radio. Strike 1. While driving for 3 hours, I noticed that the car was having problems accelerating. The next day, when the bf test drove it, he noticed the same thing and decided to take it to our local mechanic. We were told that transmission mount was damaged due to the accident and that it should've been replaced. The damages were overlooked by the estimator, the mechanic and the final inspection before we picked up the vehicle. The transmission was detached from the frame to the transmission and that is why the car was having issues accelerating and transitioning from one gear to the other. Cost of additional 150 for parts and $100 labor. Called 1st Certified Collision and spoke to manager, Greg Sunds. Chris, my bf, had a few choice words with him and voiced out his displeasure at the poor quality of service and lack of quality control. Mr Sunds was apologetic and continued to say that they were understaffed. We were willing to work with them and were pretty patient even though the car took 3 more weeks than what was promised, but getting the car and having major mechanical issues? Totally unacceptable. Strike 2. Oh yeah. Let's just throw in the fact that they also forgot to put my license plate back on my front bumper so 2 days after getting the car back, I get a ticket for not having my front license plate displayed. Strike 3. You think that would be enough right? Nope, apparently not with this company. Called and followed up with Mr. Sunds AGAIN. We were told that the license plate would be sent ASAP. That was on Wednesday. March 22nd. March 29th, one week later, no license plate. There goes another $25 bucks. Called again, and said it would be overnighted along with reimbursement for my ticket. It is now, April 2nd, Sunday. Still nothing. About time these people got their act together, or better yet, hire more staff so you can handle the work that's given to you and stop making excuses to your customers. read more
