Love love love the vintage stores here, cuz in London, everything is so expensive, and the market is so much more saturated that I feel like the cool things worth buying (to me) are snapped up. This store is above an old wooden furniture shop. The original store started off in a tiny cellar at 1 Foundry Road, much smaller but with some really interesting things! Anyhow, this place has lots of large furniture pieces, tons of paintings and embroidered pieces, china (of course I bought another teacup), suitcases, books.. I was salivating! Again, not much traffic here for some reason. But it's incredible, make sure you visit both stores! :)

If you're into anything stylishly retro then this should be your very first port of call. As an added bonus check out Charles O' Connor's stunning solo & Horslips albums for the most creative, coolest and breath-taking examples of folk rock music ever laid down. The only regret is we're not nearer Whitby to be able to visit all the time!

Anyhow, this little basement store is amazing because.. Well, not many people seem to visit it, I think?! The owner mentioned not too many people come through here. It's easy to miss - lack of advertising, just an old sign board that said antiques pointing into an old cellar. But that's where I finally bought my first teacup set (and I've gone through so many stores in London). So cute, pink purple and gold, and I was over the moon to get it. There were so many other things I would have loved to buy, but I have space and weight restrictions since I'm sadly moving back to Canada soon. Some things seem a bit pricey, but I think you can try haggle. But again, due to the low traffic, I think there are some spectacular finds. This is the original location, but there's another around the corner on Piccadilly above a wooden furniture store, which has way more selection and larger furniture pieces, and an immense painting /picture / embroidered &patchwork collection.
