The last time i was there i tried to purchase about 14 plants with the buy 5 and get the discount price as they advertised. At the register they told me oh no that's different, that's not right, and you picked the wrong ones. I explained i went by the display signs where the plants were sitting! She said it doesn't matter you're wrong. I politely agreed to put everything g back and not bother them anymore and they said ok ! seems to me a great way to run off customers that really love your plants but lacking in customer service! i share this often to my gardner friends focus on kindness, helpfulness and clarity in your special offers jerry johnson

The folks at Earthscapes continue to maintain the grounds and are always available to address any questions or issues I might have. Consequently, I took up a new hobby in retirement--landscaping design, flowers, and a general putting around and enjoyment of my new green space. Other neighbors on the street have followed suit and are now her customers, too. My yard is living proof of their outstanding work.

I can't speak for others who hired Venator to do other types of work which may be totally different…read morethan the work I required. I hired Venator to install a 4" channel drain that was to replace an original 28 year old 1" drain that was no longer adequate to collect heavy rains and move it away from my patio. While Venator's proposal seemed to be promising to provide a much needed improvement, the end results were a big disappointment. A concrete opening had to be cut in order to receive the new Spee-D Channel drain along a 25' section of my concrete patio, but they cut the opening too small. They proceeded to trim the Spee-D Channel on the bottom to make it fit into the undersized opening, which compromised the integrity of the plastic channel and wasted time focusing on the retrofitting process. All they had to do was to cut an additional 2-3" strip from the concrete and the drain would have dropped into place as the instructions suggested. After numerous attempts to inform the owner, who refused to visit the site to inspect the work, he insisted the job was being done by "Industry Standards". His main communication was via Text. I kept him informed of the shoddy workmanship with the hopes he would come by to see for himself. That was not on his agenda, even after expressing my dissatisfaction with the job as it was proceeding. I was not given a dedicated day for the work to be done. It seemed like my job was fitted in after the workers finished on a previous job. The two workers showed up at 6pm on day one and worked until 8:30pm. Not being able to finish, they had to return the next day at 3pm and worked until 8pm. The two worked hard doing their job but it seemed like this was an exploration, not a familiar experience for them. The left photo is what the installation should look like if done correctly and the right photo is what was installed, after having to cut the bottom flange on the channel drain to force it into the opening in the ground. Unfortunately, you never know what results you will get from a vendor until the job is completed. I am sorry I hired Venator for this job and I do not recommend him for this type of work.

Owner never delivered the estimate despite multiple follow ups and more grace than most would offer…read more(4-5 reminders). A costly mistake, not just for this job, but for the tens, if not hundreds of thousands in future work that could have followed. They say 80% of success is simply showing up. Unfortunately, showing up to look at a project means little if you disappear when it's time to follow through. It's hard to succeed at anything in life when you only give 20%.

My experience with them has been awful and seems to be bordering on a "bait and switch" scam. I first contacted them through their website in mid-May. They were prompt in returning my email request and scheduled a visit to our property within a week. James arrived as scheduled, a little late, but he did call to let us know he would be late. This was the first and only time he met his commitment as to timing. He surveyed the property, asked us what we had in mind and then told us he would get back with a detailed design with pricing of options (such as heater, cover, fencing, lighting, cleaning equipment, landscape, etc). He did not supply the information as promised and I contacted him on 31 May in regards to when I would receive the proposal. We had a meeting on 5 June where James provided us with 20 pictures of what our design would be. He also said at that time that the pricing would be in the $75,000 price range which we had told him was our top price. The design was beautiful, it appeared to have everything we had discussed, however the detailed information was not there. We did not have detailed pricing or information on the accessories. I made the mistake of paying him the $750.00 that was committed for the design although, I had not yet received the detailed information. On 9 June I contacted James and asked when we would get the final proposal. On 10 June, I received 7 pictures from James, still no detailed information. He stated that he had to trim the design back some to meet our $75,000 budget. Basically, I received 7 pictures of a pool - dimensions unknown, but given the available area it couldn't have been more than 24' x 16'. So basically I was getting at pool at $195.00 per square foot versus the national average of $72.00. I contacted James and expressed my disappointment and concern and again asked for the details. He did not reply. I contacted him again on 15 Jun, he did not reply. I contacted him through his web site about a week later, he did not reply. I contacted him via phone, but it went straight to voice mail. I contacted him on 7 Jul, he did not reply. I thought he was an honest and ethical contractor, but he did not deliver on his commitments, I basically got 27 pictures which I could have cut out of any pool magazine for $750.00 Don't be fooled and lured into the spider's trap.........find another contractor.

I've never blasted someone or a company before, but this just takes the cake. We paid this guy a…read moreton of money to construct an addition to our back deck, and he basically took our money and ran. Never finished the deck, roofed it improperly so that now we have a roof leak, never reinstalled our gutters so now we have drainage problems, etc. Got the project about 75% done and now will not return a phone call, email, or text. This guy is a thief, a fraud, and a con man. He pretty much decided that finishing the job/fixing all the problems with the work that was already done wasn't worth the remaining money that we still owe him. Now we have to hire someone else to fix the problems he created. If you need work done on your home, DO NOT HIRE CHATTANOOGA LAND DESIGN!

Incredible Service & Value! After three weeks of nonstop…read morerain, my backyard (which sits on a steep 45° slope) was out of control. I finally called and spoke with Gary--super helpful guy--and he quickly sent one of his employees over. I was expecting a quick 10-minute mow, but wow, was I wrong. The worker was incredibly thorough--weed whacked around the entire perimeter and left the yard looking amazing. I was blown away by the quality of work and even more impressed that it was totally within my budget (and trust me, I'm still living on pre-Covid prices!). My wife and I have decided to stick with them for ongoing backyard care. No more risking my back--these guys are just a phone call away. If you're looking for reliable, professional, and affordable lawn care, do yourself a favor and give them a call!
