Club Pilates has become my happy place & meditation retreat. Don't believe me? 100 classes in less…read morethan four months. Yup, I'm that person now. The studio is always spotless with tons of class options throughout the day. They also offer validated parking (that's like finding a pot of gold in DTLA) so there's no excuses to not go. I haven't had the chance to work out with all the instructors due to my personal schedule, but each & every one thus far has been fun, patient, challenging, & effective. I vibe the most with Reese, Rita, & Ann because their routines have my legs & abs shaking every single time. I strategically save them for weekends when I don't mind being rendered completely useless afterwards. My only suggestion: make intro classes mandatory for newbies so instructors aren't stopping mid-class (& mid-pose ) to correct form. I was once that person, so I say this with love! The people here are the real magic, though. Every single person, from the front desk, to the instructors, to my fellow students, is an absolute sweetheart. Toni especially is pure sunshine in human form & must be protected at all costs! Thank you, Club Pilates, for my one hour of flawless vibes & sanity per day. My therapist thanks you too

I've been coming to Lagree in DTLA ever since I found them on Classpass. I love that they're…read moreavailable on Classpass, as it allows me to take advantage of underbooked classes last minute for great value! The studio is very small, but effective! The classes consist of about 8 women, so it's never overcrowded. There's free parking in a structure connected to the studio, so that's convenient (although I do believe one girl was carjacked a couple weeks ago, so please lock your doors and don't leave valuables). There's a restroom inside, little cubbies for your items, a water fountain, and merch. Their pilates socks are on the pricier side, so I recommend buying in bulk on amazon or something. I like everyone's styles, but they're very different. There's one man whose class I loved and really pushed me to my limits, but I could barely hear him over the loud music. Then there are sometimes instructors who are awesome, bu don't really consider some movements for tall people. There have been many positions where I couldn't do the full range of motion and had no modified version available. I think it's a great studio, and I just need to pick the 2 instructors I like best so I can get on some kind of routine! It's convenient, 45 minute classes, and you will get a good workout as long as you try to push through the movements as best you can (you WILL shake, and that's what you want). In fact, I might book a class for later today!

My two favorite instructors are Noelle and Oscar. Noelle's music taste is chef's kiss with r&b, pop, and hip-hop mixed. While all lagree classes have been rigorous, personally, I especially love Oscar's rigor because he makes my core shake like crazy and his classes are super intimate, so he's able to provide hands on adjustments. All instructors start their classes asking if there are any pregnancies or injuries to ensure your workout experience takes into consideration your limitations and offer different exercises to workout the same muscle groups. After every workout, I am guaranteed to be sore somewhere. You can pay their membership, but I currently have ClassPass where I pay $55 a month for 25 credits. This will get you 2 classes a month, sometimes 3, if the classes are not full and closer to the date, the app will lower them to 8 credits. Credits also roll over per month! They also offer free parking with a code. I've never had issues finding parking even though there aren't a lot of spaces offered.

I'm used to studios having showers so leaving in my sweat clothes isn't ideal for me but it's not deal breaker. Our instructor was great! She was subbing for the main teacher but she did great. Easy to follow and she made sure to call out cues clearly through her headset. I will say i want to come back and try the reformer next. With the heat, the music, and all the movement, those 50 minutes flew by but I definitely felt like I got a full-body workout. My core was working the entire time, and I left drenched in sweat but energized. I'm glad that there's some good athletic leisure shopping like Ron Dorf and Skims nearby because I was still feeling so sweaty after my workout that I bought a whole new outfit next door :D What I like most is that the studio feels nice and is definitely upscale but still super welcoming. It didn't feel intimidating at all, and the overall vibe made me want to come back. You can tell a lot of thought goes into the classes and the experience. Definitely recommend giving Hot Pilates a try if you want a workout that challenges you while still being fun. Plus, it's located in the nice Sunset Plaza area on Sunset Boulevard in WeHo, so there's always somewhere nearby to grab a smoothie or something healthy to eat afterwards.

This studio is designed beautifully and the theme stays consistent with the other 2 existing studios. They offer both reformers and mat pilates in one studio! They also have plenty of cubbies for you to store your belongings and infrared saunas available for purchase. I have taken classes with various instructors at each of the 3 studios. I found that although they all have different styles of teaching, they are all challenging yet enjoyable. They are not unreasonably challenging and will offer modifications as needed. Most instructors do most of the workout with you, especially in mat pilates, and are great with hands-on correction. They also really know how to incorporate props such as the ball, ankle weights, hand weights, etc. into the workout. By far, one of my favorite pilates studios in West LA!

Shout out to Trisha for being my first instructor ever of Pilates and making me feel like I had such a rewarding workout that I can't stop coming back for more. Alexa dining off. Sadly, I haven't been able to come back for more with her since my call schedule conflicts with her class times, but I also have had had an amazing time working out with Nicole. I will say that I can get lost a lot as a beginner to reformer pilates and sometimes it's hard to see the example or cue from afar, but overall the coreology sessions are incredible. For the sake of research before committing to one brand, I compared my first session of coreology to club pilates' intro session out of curiosity and was sad to say I didn't even break a sweat at club pilates, so I'm glad I found coreology first.

The music was definitely energizing, the space was spacious and bright. I was following Movement Pilates on Instagram and saw that they were offering a promotional rate. After a few DM's, I decided to give it a try and signed up. I made it pretty clear that I didn't mind a different instructor the first couple of sessions since it would give me an opportunity to find an instructor that works for me. After a couple of different instructors, I WAS finally able to find someone that I liked. I won't name the others, but must point out that LIWON was the best instructor out of all of them. She is extremely professional and you can tell that she's experienced and highly qualified. She really tries to help you use the correct muscles and will push you enough to be motivated, and not discouraged. She doesn't get distracted and will focus on you and your posture while giving you adjustments as needed. Compared to some other pilates classes I've taken in the past, the approach they take is slower paced. This can be good/bad, depending on what you're looking for. If you want to focus on having a better posture during your workouts, I would highly recommend Movement Pilates. The studio itself is very well managed and clean. You can tell they do a great job maintaining the place. I also love the fact that they send you a reminder text before your classes, this is soooo helpful :) *PARKING: validated valet $2 or residential street parking a few blocks away.
