I met with Dr. Sherman today to assist me with severe pain after rear end auto accident. The office was nice and clean and offered a lot of seating. I did not experience any problems today but I was a little sore after my appointment. A PAY Parking Lot is very limited and is located across the street. MARTA does service this area and there is a bus stop directly in front of the clinic. Located at the corner of Flat Shoals Ave and May Ave. It was the availability for me. My mother would call for help and no one would come. I hired a person to come sit with my mom and they found a way to kick her out of the building because she was bringing up issues of negligence to attention. I was traveling and a friend stopped by to see my mom. She called me hysterical because my mom was in her urine and feces . I have photos of this happening TWICE. But the worst part is my mother had been complaining of pain in her leg. I asked the staff to do an x-ray. They never did. After my friends call I took my mother out in 24 hours and put her in a 4 bedroom home. They proactively did the xrays and determined my mom fractured her hip. That is a death sentence. My mother told me she tried to get up to go to the bathroom after waiting forever, and she fell. She was #&#(#(@ BLIND!! How hard is it to help someone to the bathroom??? I guess to Tucker Wellness, it was worth letting her die. I had few options for my mother as she was on Medicaid. In hindsight I should have not gone back to work and just let everything go financially to keep my mother alive. It wasn't worth it. My mother died in pain. Dr. Royster took the time to read my clinical notes prior to coming into the room, asked me a bunch of additional questions, and took the time to listen to me. She came up with a plan to collaborate with my other doctors, gave me multiple referral print outs that included which ones were covered by my insurance, since I mentioned I was having difficulty finding providers who were. She also included a 20 page print out of perimenopause and what to expect. I've never had a doctor validate me the way she did, and normalize what I was going through, then go the extra mile to provide me with literature to support it. I had a horrible experience with another provider at a different OB office a few weeks earlier, so I had lowered my expectations, but was pleasantly surprised by my wonderful and professional treatment from all of the staff.
