We hosted around 50 people for dinner, followed by a welcome drinks open house with about 100-125 guests. The venue was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with plenty of parking and flexibility for our setup. They even allowed us early access to decorate, which made the day much less stressful. All of the food was phenomenal as well, we had all of our guests raving about both dinner and dessert! Jennifer was our main point of contact, and she made planning easy--from selecting the menu and desserts to adjusting our guest count and décor details. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The only hiccup was with two unplanned young guests (under 10) who arrived last-minute. The staff quickly added chairs, but we were later charged ~$310 for their attendance. I didn't see this invoice and was charged to the card on file while on our honeymoon. Though the charge was small in the grand scheme, it felt a little steep considering it was buffet-style and the kids were light eaters. Still, that was a minor bump in an otherwise smooth experience. I highly recommend Trumps for any event--they offer great service, beautiful space, and delicious food.

For Vegetarians-the tossed salad is fresh and roasted vegetables are ok, but we do not like their "lentil shepherds pie" (over cooked lentils with potato slices on top) and most of the pastas are pretty uninspiring. Not gourmet, but ok food in a buffet setting. Service is good as they bring drinks and clear dishes quickly. Tables hold 8 people. Surroundings and rest rooms are clean. Located in a small strip shopping mall, but far enough from the streets that there is no traffic noise. Lots of parking.

We were having a huge outdoor party for my husband's 50th birthday and we had invited over 100 people and we really wanted a food truck where not only the adults would love the food but also not too eccentric where it could please the kids too. I spent a lot of time throughout a week scouring the internet for a food truck that I felt could fit our needs. I found the menus for private parties too restricting and it was starting to feel I wouldn't be able to find the kind of menu I wanted. A friend of mine whose neighborhood has a lot of block parties and hires food trucks often suggested Soul Truckin Good. She said that out of all the trucks, that was the most raved about and pleased the masses. I had called a few already and felt discouraged with the limited menu for private parties. I might have liked this and that but maybe they couldn't do this and that together. I felt a little like Goldilocks and the Three Bears trying to find a menu I felt excited about. With the party being combined with our annual St. Patty's Day party I knew the drinks would be flowing and I wanted to make sure the food was yummy, hearty and filling for a one time guest visit to the truck. So I called Soul Truckin Good, and Jei answered the phone. She has the perfect amount of professionalism, kindness AND understanding when talking things over. The way she described the menu was very easy to understand and I felt like we had great main dish and side dish choices to work with. There was one additional side I wanted even though it ventured outside of the A, B, C type of menu. She wanted to make sure we were happy and she was happy to work with me to make sure we had the menu we wanted. By the end of the process, I felt like I was talking to my friend rather than a stranger. The party was growing by the day. And she talked me through everything regarding the number of people and how much to order, like a pro. Sometimes I felt like she was my therapist, lol, because of the concern I had with making sure everyone would get fed. When you have an Evite for a big party and even if you set a deadline for RSVPs, you will always have those friends that say, oh I forgot...is it too late? Or I know I initially said it was just 2 of us but now it will be all 5, yada yada yada. So we came up with a plan that I felt comfortable with. And not to forget about the food or the guest happiness- the day of the party gets here and the food truck was a huge success. Everyone loved the food. Everything went smoothly, truck was here on-time (even early). They make sure to plan with time cushions to get to their commitments with plenty of time. And there was a line at the end as our time was coming to a close and they stayed until the last person received their order. Can't assume that will always be the case but I was their last commitment that day. Just goes to show they care about the experience and not just the dollar. I don't think there are a lot of business owners out there that care as much about making your experience the best it can be. But I can say without a doubt that Soul Truckin Good is one of them!
