They were professional, friendly, and communicated very well. We had Smoked Salmon Potato Chip Bites, Devils on a Horseback (bacon wrapped dates stuffed with gorgonzola), Bourbon Spiral Ham, Fried Chicken Tenders, Squash Casserole, Broccoli Salad, Bread, Fried Mozzarella Sticks served in mason jars, and Shrimp and Grits served in martini glasses. People loved the food just like I hoped they would. My family loves food so I did not want to have anything so-so at the wedding, but it was all fantastic. I really want to know the secret to their ham! They also put together a get away picnic basket with a bottle of champagne for my groom and me to enjoy in our hotel room in Atlanta, near the airport.

Several guests expressed disappointment, and many barely touched their meals, which was upsetting for such an important part of our wedding day. Beyond the food itself, the professionalism during the reception was concerning. The woman in charge of the reception catering had an attitude in nearly every interaction leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. There were multiple arguments during the reception, and at one point yelling could be heard coming from the kitchen area. She was also complaining throughout the process, even before the wedding day. It created unnecessary stress during what should have been a smooth and joyful evening. While the cocktail hour was handled beautifully, the reception catering experience fell far below expectations.

If you're looking for Indian catering in the Atlanta area, I don't see how can it get much better than this. Peri Peri excelled not only at food quality and taste, but also at menu variety and service. Four of the events each had hundreds of guests and the staff did a great job keeping stations stocked, churning out delicious food, and generally staying on top of things. The events Peri Peri catered, that we attended, were the pellikoduku, sangeet/mendhi, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and wedding reception. Except for the pellikoduku, these were large-scale events at nice Atlanta venues (42West, The Starling). All of the food was vegetarian and served buffet-style. As meat-eaters, my wife and I enjoyed the food so much that we didn't miss eating meat. Also, I took a bunch of leftovers home from the pellikoduku, ate Peri Peri every night for the following week, and didn't get sick of it. Peri Peri's versatility showed in regions and types (e.g., street food, traditional, modern, and formal/upscale) of cuisine served. There was also Indian Chinese food and fusion food, like Indian Italian (pizza). Our favorite dish was the pav bhaji (sandwiches). A lot of the stations, such as the pav bhaji and dosa (crepe) stations, were staffed. The foods from the staffed stations were cooked and served hot and fresh. Some of the smaller items, like at cocktail hour, were presented beautifully. There were Indian dishes I'd never eaten before and also Indian food served in ways I'd never seen before. The desserts were yummy. Probably what was most impressive was the food was on par with some of the best Indian restaurants we've been to, but served in massive quantities.
