Massage was for the entire hour, not 50-55 minutes. We tipped an additional $20. So for the two of us it was only slightly more than most places charge for one. We received a very nice and, yes, relaxing message. Funny about the music. They must use the "free" version of an instrumental music channel because every 15 minutes a one minute commercial would play. Didn't bother us. We use those, too. In full disclosure, this was our first full hour massage...but it won't be our last. Recommend.

In need of a lymphatic drain massage as well as a general relaxation relief, I immediately hooped on the phone to google local massage therapist who could help me. I had a bit of trouble finding someone who A, knew how to and B willing to even try. Luckily I came across Carla and and sooooo thankful that I did. Upon my arrival, Carla and I talked in depth about my needs as I was 5 days post-surgery. She was warm, kind, very soothing, and straight forward. She understood how much pain I was in, was honestly interested in helping me feel better and making sure that I felt better and more importantly felt relief from the pressure pains I was feeling as a result of fluid buildup. She gave me quite possibly the best massage I have ever had in my life. Carla combined various techniques from the massage and physical therapy worlds, and I left Carla's office feeling like a new human being. She worked my back out in ways that no other massage therapist or physical therapist has been able to, and it has led to results that have lasted longer than a few hour's. I continued to go to her 2/3 times a week over the next 8 weeks religiously. With her help I did not have to return to my surgeon in southern California for revision or to surgically release the fluid buildup. Not to mention the knots, lumps and muscle tightness that she had to deal with in the mix as well. I TRULY so grateful that I came across her and I cannot thank Carla enough for her work, her in depth knowledge, and her genuine kindness.

I requested medium pressure, but the massage was often much stronger than expected, especially along my spine and bones. I asked for lighter pressure, which was briefly adjusted, but it became heavy again. The session felt rushed, and I did not feel relaxed afterward. Although I paid for a 30-minute massage, it ended at 4:58 PM, which felt short considering the initial wait. I paid $52 total (including a $2 card fee), and the value did not match the experience. At checkout, before I completed payment, the therapist asked, "$10 tip okay?" which made me uncomfortable. I prefer to choose the tip amount myself based on the service provided. I tipped $7 in cash, and the reaction I received felt disappointing and unprofessional. Tipping should feel optional and appreciated, not assumed or pressured.
