I knew I would have to travel a fair distance to view/test drive this car, so I phoned first and spoke to Peter. I was assured of the condition, and general details of the car to such an extent, that I instantly felt very confident, and felt I was genuinely dealing with a very honest and trustworthy company. I had to phone back a few times over the next few days to arrange when I would be able to come, and also to arrange insurance and road tax. This was when I first spoke to Raymond, and I have to say, again I came off the phone, satisfied and confident that the car would be everything I was told it would be. I phoned yet again, a day before I left to confirm everything was ok, and also to get directions from the main Train Station in Edinburgh. I was instantly told by Raymond, to phone him when I got to the station and he would come and pick me up. This, I thought was an extremely kind gesture, considering the garage is a good 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre. When I arrived at the garage, I found the car to be exactly as advertised, and exactly as described by both Raymond and Peter. We took it out for a good test drive, and along the way had a good chat and laugh with Raymond. Once we arrived back at the garage, I was smitten and didn't need any further convincing. At this point I met Peter and found him to be as friendly and welcoming as Raymond. Along with an already very good price for a very good car, PHJ also covered the cost of my first year's road tax, along with a £25 top up of fuel. Something I certainly didn't expect! All in all a very pleasant experience, and would highly recommend both the high standard of cars, and also the high standard of customer care that I received. I have already recommended them to friends and family, and would certainly remember them again in the future.

I bought a car from Union motors almost a year ago, the car it self is a great motor…read more The problem is that Union Motors don't keep their promises, every car sold comes with 6 months road tax, my car had two months left from the previous owner, we agreed that union motors would pay the 6 months road tax once that had run out. A year later after one letter , 3 emails , and several phone calls I am still waiting on them keeping their promise. I would advise anybody dealing with them to get the deals / cash from them on the day they pay for the car as they don't hold their part of the deal. Stay away if you expect any aftercare. Good points: cars are lovely and sparkling when you go to view, selection is good, priced on market average. Bad points: every single thing else. Paid for car, was told it would be serviced and a few things done before it was ready and it would be good to collect in 2 days. Great I thought, a trustworthy dealer. Two days later car had faults caused by onsite mechanics it did not have previously, master mechanic apologised for not checking the work of an apprentice. Took 2 weeks to be ready via a third party. Never received a callback from company when said they would regarding updates even when promised. Was told it would be ready 4 separate dates. Ended up chasing the third party myself who were very informative of the hassle millennium motors were to customers. Sales staff promised the world, delivered nothing even close. Owner was frankly the worst person I have dealt/worked with in my life. No responsibility, tried intimidation tactics and was caught first hand lying yet still denied it. This seemed more criminal than company and provided informations that was directly opposite to that of traffic police and citizens advice. I would emplore any person to be wary going near this dealership as the experience had I would not wish on anybody. Please beware, stay safe.

It took nearly 5 hours to move my car until one of their service bays and a further hour and a half after this to inform me it wasn't going to be ready until today. What are Evans Halshaw playing at with being so incompetent and lazy that it requires me to bring my car in twice after screwing up with servicing my car and putting the wrong fuel filter in? Never mind the fact that the cost also doubled - was quoted a price and then had it doubled! 0 Stars. Disgusting behaviour by staff. Do not use

After speaking to the manager, I haven't been offered an exchange for the car I ordered or a proportionate compensation related to the harmed caused. Even though I complained since the day after driving the car away, I have been chasing this company for a month (both manager, dealer and central) and everyone says to be "too busy to answer" and promise call backs that never come. Don't buy! I expected reliability from a Ford dealer, but this is not what I found.

We dropped in on spec and I was impressed by the layout, cleanliness and friendly staff. There was no pushy salesman in our face, they greeted us after a while browsing and left us along to take a look around. We agreed a test drive there and then. The salesman who served us was new to the job, but was very professional and I was glad to see that if he was unsure about something, he took the time to go check, rather than just giving us an answer he thought would suit. We decided to buy the car but unfortunately were turned down for the finance. The salesman was great, trying everything possible to help us out. A few months later, we got the finance sorted out and went back to them. I got a different salesman this time, but again, really friendly and not at all pushy, something I always expected from the bad press car salesmen tend to receive. Everything went through beautifully and I'm delighted with my car and the service I received.

Tesla (lead by Elon Musk) are pioneering this to make it mainstream and all the other car manufacturers will follow. I have had a test drive in the Model S car and have drooled over the Model X (the pretty SUV with Falcon wing doors) both of which are out of my more modest price range, but roll on the production of the Model 3 (the affordable mass produced electric car) that is the same cost of an average family car and Tesla will change things. This will be ready in the next 18-24 months. This showroom is on the prestigious Mulltrees walk and is more like a little gallery space than a traditional style car showroom. The staff are welcoming and friendly and are happy for curious folk to come and see what it's all about. Go and have a nosey, it's pretty cool. P.s there is a Tesla super charger at the airport, so you can usually spot one or two there.
