She knows how to connect with her patients and really tailors her visits to the individual kid by mentioning things she can tell they like. For example, she noticed my daughter's paw patrol shoes and started talking about paw patrol with my daughter! She eases any hesitation the kids have with her pleasant ton and personality! She has a very special way of working with kids. She is amazing. I am so fortunate to have found such a wonderful person who makes my daughter smile and laugh throughout her appointments. Dr. Lin the dentist is amazing as well! At my daughter's very first dentist visit she was really worried which Dr. Lin could sense. He left the room and came back with a special balloon for her which instantly made her feel more comfortable. He has a kind and gentle demeanor that makes kids and parents feel comfortable. Unlike other pediatric dentists offices, this office allows the parents back in the exam/cleaning room with the children which was important to me. This office is wonderful in so many ways. I have been very impressed and will recommend this office!

Another great quality is that they are very open and upfront about costs and what your insurance (or dental discount plan) will and will not cover. That takes a huge stress off trying to manage the health and finances of your family. They are very kid friendly, but also very professional. It's been 5 years now and even with all the cavities my kids have had they do not fear the dentist. From the receptionists to the dentists everyone is kind and friendly. I also love that they've never once scolded my kids for being a kid. They will ask them to stop misbehaving if I'm concentrating on the billing or speaking with the dentist, but it's never said as a way to shame the child or the parent and to me this kind of positive influence from professionals is essential.

Writing I had a very concerning experience with this…read morepediatric dentist after my 8-year-old son had a silver crown placed. Four days after the procedure, the area began bleeding and appeared swollen. I paged the doctor after hours to ask for guidance because the bleeding was not stopping. Initially, I was told to see if the bleeding would stop and to follow up in a couple of weeks. However, after several hours of continued bleeding, I called again and expressed that I did not feel this was normal. The doctor agreed to see my son after hours, which I did appreciate. However, the visit itself was very stressful for both my child and me. My son was frightened and in pain during the procedure. When he said that it hurt, the response was that it shouldn't hurt because the area was numbed. As a parent, it was very difficult to see my child distressed and feel that his pain concerns were not being taken seriously. During the procedure there also seemed to be some complications, including an instrument breaking while the work was being done, which added to the anxiety of the situation. I felt uncomfortable that I was being asked what I wanted done rather than being clearly guided on what the best clinical step would be. I understand that complications can occur in dentistry, especially with children, and I do appreciate that the doctor came in after hours. However, the communication, bedside manner, and overall experience left me feeling uneasy and not confident returning for future care. Because of this experience, I personally would not feel comfortable bringing my child back or recommending this office for pediatric dental care.
