Passing along my experience with a tree trimming company...Angels Tree Service. This company has…read moreopened up a location here in Melissa off of 121. I contacted them in early August to get a quote. A was quote received & I scheduled service. When I spoke with Josue/Josh G I told him I would be paying by card. He gave me a little higher price for using a card than the cash quote...no problem. He did not say he did not accept cards. The trees were trimmed on a Friday morning & I was expecting him to contact me that day for payment. I contacted him the following Monday & said I need to make payment by card. This is when the insanity started. 1. He said the Chase credit card app was down. I knew this was a lie. I told him to let me know when it was back up so I could make payment. 2. Next, he sent a text 2 days later saying the app was still down. Again lies. I said ok when you get a way to process a payment by card I will make payment. 3. Then he proceeded to harass & try to bully me because I did not want to pay cash via Zelle. There are too many other non Zelle payment options available. I am a business owner & have several payment options for my customers other than Zelle that utilize a card. 4. He proceeded to tell me he would return the load of tree branches back to my driveway & also file a "lean" on my property. He also showed up at my house unannounced. I told him if him or any of his workers brought anything back to my house I would call the police for trespassing. I also sent him the Texas statute that explained trespassing. All this time I am texting him to send me a way to make payment by card-Square, Quickbooks, etc. He did nothing. All he wanted was cash. 5. He then offered me a lower price if I would just pay cash. At this point it's about principle & I said HELL NO. Send me a way to pay via card. 6. When I refused to pay cash he then sent an email with a letter threatening to take me to small claims court & to contact my landlord. He also showed up at my house unannounced again & taped the letter to my door. In this letter he then tried to charge me $500 for the service which included late fees. No where in the quote or on the original invoice did it discuss not accepting cards or late fees. My landlord & I made an arrangement as far as the tree trimming. I would pay & the price was taken off of my rent for one month. I told him contacting my landlord would do nothing...he wasn't going to pay him. We had a few email exchanges where I proceeded to inform him of proper business practices & that I would not be paying cash at all. 7. After all of this he finally sent me an invoice on 8/24 via SwipeSimple that I paid via card. That is all I asked for from the beginning. If he had of said he did not accept cards then I would have looked for another company. I am spreading the word about Angels Tree Service & Josue/Josh G's business practices & lack of customer service. I am posting Yelp reviews & filing a complaint with the BBB. Please do not use this company....the owner does not know how to run a business nor communicate with customers.
