Found at the foot of Oswald Street in Glasgow, the three-arched George V Bridge opened in 1928. It was designed by Thomas Somers, has a width of 80ft, a central span of 146 ft and stands 18.5 ft above high water level.
It only takes ten minutes to walk down to it from Central Station (which I did recently) and is a good starting point for a walk along the edge of the Clyde in either direction. read more
