Passed a Harbor Homes work site today... what a mess on the lawn. I had to initiate a formal hearing brought against Harbor Homes with MA State Board of Licensing. The licensing board found unsatisfactory business practices and assessed fines against them. Just a few problems to mention; crooked moldings, plumbing and electrical issues, multiple Floods, tiling issues, splitting of floors and woodwork. Horrible horrible craftsmanship. Bottom line there was no supervision at all. Never the same subs. Absolutely no pride taken in their work. Harbor homes put a wooden tent sign on our yard for advertising. Somehow it fell over and sat in the mud for over six months. That says it all. We have started a support group for irate hh customers who have all had the same experiences with these people. Never have we seen such dishonest, immoral, disrespectful and unprofessional people. None of us can figure out how they stay in business. Do not use them!!!!! Highly dishonest, but worse, horrible builders!!!

So if you think the hourly rate may be a little high, cut that # in half because these guys work at least twice as fast. I needed repair work to an eave, soffit, & roofline, sheetrock repair on my ceiling -due to a leak, trash removal, tons of trim repair around windows & door, gutters cleaned out, as well as driveway leveling & fill. They completed all that in a day & a 1/2 PLUS powerwashed the entire house, and removed every single leaf & pineneedle from my yard(1 acre)!! I saw a sign for Schley Painting in a neighbor's yard and called Josh who responded immediately, and he was doing the work a couple days later. Since I was not in town at the time, he sent me daily updates and texts, until the work was completed, which just took a couple of days. Plus he charged a very reasonable price. The the most important thing is he got the job done quickly and efficiently, and it was of very high quality. And he is a very congenial nice young man to work with. Highly recommended!
