I had an extremely disappointing experience with this dental office, not because of the dental care, but because of how a serious situation was handled. During my visit, my gold chain and earrings both family heirlooms were left on the counter in the exam room and 5 mins after leaving I called the office to check and they were missing. When I brought this to the attention of the office manager, I was met with complete indifference and a lack of concern. Despite respectfully asking if the cameras could be reviewed to determine what happened, no meaningful effort was made to assist or investigate. Losing irreplaceable items is upsetting enough, but the dismissive response and lack of accountability made the situation far worse. I expected professionalism, empathy, and basic customer care none of which were shown. I would strongly caution others to be mindful of their personal belongings when visiting this office. read more

Horrible experience. Please take the negative reviews here seriously- I wish I did- they literally have an "F" rating with the Better Business Beauru. I went in for a crown and two fillings and left with pain in all three teeth- pain that I never had prior to seeing the dentist at ISmile Dental. After going to a different dentist for a second opinion, a more skilled dentist educated me that the filling was improperly packed. The dentist at ISmile Dental can't even fill a filling- the most basic skill of all. This establishment is a dental mill filled with poorly experienced, new grads. Now I fear I'll have to get the permanent crown redone as well.. After having my filling corrected, I left my new dentist at Cedar Knolls Dental with less pain by the next day. ISmile dental told me I needed a root canal. I don't have dental insurance, so spending money- out of pocket- on poor quality/incorrectly done procedures is unfortunate. The ladies at ISmile Dental are nice enough, but niceness means nothing when you don't have the skill or experience to help your patients. Summary: DO NOT COME to this location if you have cosmetic concerns with your teeth. I made that mistake, regret it deeply, and consequently face a lifetime of financial repercussions as a result. As someone with severe dental anxiety, I cannot help but sincerely recommend that all stay away from iSmile Dental Care in Union. I came to the iSmile practice and, after an over half-hour wait following x-rays, first met Dr. Denise. She came across as incredibly empathetic to my situation, so I decided to entrust her with cleaning my mouth and removing bonding from the tips of my two main front teeth. (Her beside manner and attention to detail while doing my basic cleaning is why this review has two stars instead of one.) It was nothing short of a mistake to trust Dr. Denise with my front teeth. While she successfully removed bonding from one tooth, she removed too much natural enamel when she shaving and left my tooth at an unnatural angle. She did not use an additional tool to differentiate between natural tooth and composite bonding material. This, though, was tolerable compared to what she did to my other tooth, which she left looking like a mangled mess. It is a completely different general shape relative to the other tooth. One is perfectly flat (albeit at a strange angle, see above) while the bottom of the other legitimately looks like its making a smile (half-crescent). Another way to think of it is that my once-flat tooth now has the curvature of a thumbnail. My heart sank when Dr. Denise put the mirror in front of my face at the conclusion of her work. I have never wanted to cry in the company of the stranger as much as I did in that moment. Dr. Denise's disastrous work left me depressed, even more insecure than before, and reluctant to trust a dentist ever again. Thanks to the work of Dr. Denise, I will need cosmetic dental care for the most basic aspect of my smile for the REST OF MY LIFE. The one thing of which I can be sure, however, is that I won't seek such care with Dr. Denise and the people who work at iSmile Dental Care. To Dr. Ahmed Beheiry, who trolls the Google reviews and(!) even had the audacity to write one for his own practice: Yes, I was a real patient of your practice's. No, the name present on my Google and Yelp accounts does not match that of my government ID. This does not affect the validity of this review, despite what your non-boilerplate words on other Google reviews may suggest. I have been coming to see Dr. B for about 4 years. I have always had cosmetic issues due to crooked bottom teeth. Dr B recommended an Invisalign treatment that lasted about 10 months. I was really blown away by the results. The bottom teeth really re-aligned in a way that made them straight and I now smile proudly. I also come here for cleanings and other cosmetic procedures. Very nice and modern place. Staff is friendly and I highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

Shady business practice. I get bombarded with emails that I am due for a cleaning and "use your insurance or lose it" for the year. I schedule an appointment for a cleaning and then they hit me with a bill. They reached out to me MULTIPLE times to book an appointment stating that I'm due for a cleaning and then turn around and bill me for it claiming I've reached my limit for the year with my insurance. You reached out to me advising me that I was due for a cleaning, then send me a bill because your system messed up. I have been a patient with them for years, I have recommended people to go to them. I WISH I would have read and followed the advice of the negative Yelp reviews sooner. I went in for a routine checkup, and to my amazement, they found that I had 3 cavities. This was odd because for years i've been strict with my dental hygiene. I went in to get all 3 cavities taken care of, and just like the previous Yelp reviews, I left feeling pain and sensitivity in all 3 cavities for weeks after my appointment thinking it would go away. During the procedure I felt the dentist was rushing the job and there was no sense of patient care. I went back and had them take a look at my cavities that had sensitivity. The dentist applied some cream and told me it would take a while for it to feel better (not something I ever had to endure when getting a cavity). Of course, this gave them another opportunity to bill my insurance another $300+. To top it all off, the staff is very unprofessional and rude. The phone calls always made me feel frustrated to walk in. While you're in the office, you'll hear the staff gossip and talk about patients as if it doesn't echo through the hallways. I started coming to this dentist a year and half ago, and I only got cleanings done. I complained early in the year about pain and sensitivity in my left lower tooth. They kept saying they were fine. When I arrived for my six month check up and cleaning they did the C-Ray. The same teeth they claim was ok was the teeth I needed a possible filling or root canal. I did the filling with one of their new dentist and she was impatient with me and the process. She tried to do the fill in without any medication prior. Then she gave me a needle and tried to work on the filling not even a minute after. I felt every inch of the pain and I told her to stop using hand signals. I am still in pain and now I have to get a root canal on that same tooth. She should of knew whether or not I needed a root canal prior to putting me through all that pain. Waste of time and procedure. I can't even eat on my left side. I don't recommend this location. read more

This review is for awareness. I went in a few months ago for a filling done by Denise. I had to make two follow up appointments because they were not done correctly and I was still unable to bite down on the side where the filling was needed. I then go in because at one of the follow up appointments Denise told me I needed a root canal and submitted approval for it. I went in for the root canal and after 1.5 hours I left with a partial root canal because she claimed my roots were too long. She temporarily filled the root with a temporary material that fell out the next day. I had to call again to have it placed back in to hold me over until my appointment the following week. I then go back for a rescheduled follow up appointment for the root canal to be completed. I yet again get Galway through the appointment and Denise says the same thing. My roots are too long and she needs to get her manager to take over. After she filed my tooth down super short. As anyone would, I grew impatient and frustrated with all of the back and forth. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe. When the owner came in, he was very rude and short with me. I asked him what his next steps were to help resolve the issue in a calm tone and he got upset, threw his hands up and said I'll just refer you out. I asked why ? I felt like me speaking up and showing concern bothered him. As a patient I have the right to be concerned and ask necessary questions. I asked for Denise to finish what she started and she said she couldn't. They dismissed me from being a patient at this practice and I'm now trying to find a endodontist to finish what Denise started when she should've never started a root canal if she wasn't properly trained for patient with " really long roots." I cannot get an appointment with a specialists until February and we're in June. I feel as if I was discriminated against for asking a question. The owner assumed I had an attitude when really I was concerned for my safety and well being. I was not assured or made to feel comfortable as a patient in the chair with my canal exposed. The novacane she administered made my eye numb in addition to my cheek being swollen and numb for days after. That has never happened before. I felt like this was extremely negligent. There was a cleaning agent used to clear my canal that smelled exactly like bleach and it scared me. I guess that made me a problem going forward for speak g up and asking what it was. This was completely unnecessary. Seeing that they're not BBB verified + having similar negative reviews about the owner, I can see why they have a low rating. read more

My mom went in for a consultation about a broken tooth...they proceeded to open a medical credit card in her name, without her consent, charge that card for a full dental implant which she never agreed to and she left that day with no work being done on her tooth because they were overpriced and decided to take her business elsewhere, just to find out that they charged her insurance AND the medical credit card $2000 for the cost of a service she never received!!! Went here with no tooth pain, was told I had 7 cavities, spent an afternoon getting them filled and have been in constant pain since. Went back two weeks later to tell them what I was feeling and they said it was normal. That was in December. It's nearly March. My teeth hurt every single day. I'm at a loss. $300 down the drain. Convinced they messed up my teeth. No way is this normal. Now I'm going to need to find another dentist and possibly face root canals all because these people insisted my pain was normal and wouldn't take x rays to see if they'd caused any damage. So unprofessional and probably one of the worst experiences. Spent thousands of dollars on Invisalign and had no guidance throughout the process. Teeth took forever to get scanned at initial visit because the assistant did not have proper training. My teeth have permanent scrape marks from when the dentist took the buttons off. I had no appointment once I was finished to compare treatment results, to evaluate any further steps, etc. I was promised free teeth whitening after my treatment was complete and no mention or record of it. Although, I probably wouldn't trust them again with my teeth anyway and after reading the other reviews, I definitely dodged a bullet. There was so much more that was wrong but I'll leave it at this. If I could give zero stars, I would. First, the dentist would not fill my very few cavities on the same day. She asked me to come in for multiple appointments so she could charge my insurance for the separate visits. She left one of my fillings incomplete and said she would finish it the next time I came in. RED FLAG! During the filling, I could feel all the work she was doing and was not properly numbed. I told her I was in pain, she showed a crazy attitude and stuck more needles into me like I was a nuisance and not her patient. Secondly, like the other reviews say, they drill extremely deep on the cavities. I had a bad feeling about this dentist so I got an X-ray at another office for a second opinion. The dentist told me the filling was touching on my nerve which was causing my excruciating pain. It lasted for months and I was miserable! Lastly, the HARASSMENT! They called me a million times trying to get me to make another appointment after I explained I was not interested and had another dentist. They will text, call, email and will not leave you ALONE! It's been years and they are still harassing me. Please. Do not go here. The worst dentist experience I've ever had and the worst pain I've ever had after fillings. Do not get the teeth whitening procedure. I asked specifically if they offer the zoom whitening and they said they did. I went, spent $500 on it and didn't notice a difference at all. I complained and they informed me that they didn't have the zoom whitening agent in stock and would have to schedule another appointment. I felt reluctant to go back but I did only because they said they wouldn't provide me a refund. After the 2nd procedure I noticed that it only took my teeth up a half shade and is starting to fade 3 days later. Yes the whitening agent was stronger, the dentist and her assistant was much better than the first but the led lamp was not the one that is used for Zoom Whitening. I did the maintenance they told me to go on and my teeth looks practically the same as it did before. They informed me AFTER the 1st procedure that it doesn't take on everyone but I had it done years before and it took my teeth 3 shades lighter. The laser used was also high tech and stronger.
