Charged $260 for CBCT which I plan to dispute. First thing he told me was contrary to what was promised while making the appointment, the tooth will most likely get reinfected shortly...I have been doing this for 16 years. Then the doctor refused to provide services that they had already run through my insurance. The doctor has a big EGO. I am having issues with another tooth and requested him to take a quick look at the 3D scan which I had already paid for. He flatly refused and actually felt insulted! What nerve and what service?!@#%!! Then he got mad that I was pissed and asked me to leave.

I think the geometry of my teeth make them difficult to work with and it took several attempts to get impressions to produce Viveria retainers that fit correctly and kept my tooth spacing tight. Unfortunately, I found that the new Viveria material was too thin and stretched out after a few weeks of wear. Dr. Ortiz kindly offered to make me some retainers in-house using a thicker plastic to solve the problem. They had not worked with this thicker material before so it took a few tries to get these retainers to come out correctly, but they never gave up. After all the time & effort, I'm sure they didn't make any profit so I appreciate EPO for putting the customer ahead of the bottom line. That is a rare thing to find these days. 5-stars!

After coming home I realized what happened I was so upset that an important part of my smile that hold a cultural significance is completely wiped. The doctor insists that this is not an intentional lightening of my gum although they clearly said to me that they've "removed some hyperpigmentation" but also they never mentioned in my consultation that this was a possibility nor was it indicated in the consent form. I consulted with a different periodontist after the fact and after reviewing my consent form, that makes no mention of lighter gum as an outcome of a crown lengthening, they suspect that this may have been done, because to some, a lighter gum is "aesthetically preferred". Gum lightening maybe the "in thing" to do right now but I absolutely didn't consent to it. In fact I hate my results so much that I wish I never altered my original smile. I recommend anyone who wouldn't want alterations to their smile on a whim of a doctor to avoid this place.

She went back as she had prepared to get the tooth extracted. The dentist that she saw decided to take an Xray and stated that there was nothing wrong with her tooth. If the correct methods were done in the beginning that she would not have gone to the office for a 2nd time. To make matters worse, when she arrived at the office a payment was taken before she ever saw the dentist. That is something that I never heard of before. How can you take a payment before work is done not knowing if additional work will be done which will require an additional charge? After taking her money, and the extraction was not going to be done, why keep her money? they did not have a problem taking it and keeping it and sending it through the process of sending it through as a payment which is not rightfully theirs to keep!!! She has been trying to call continuously to get her money back and now they are telling her that it is a process but was it a process when they took her money before services were rendered? Businesses like this have to do better with the services that they are providing and take their time with the patient's needs, not to unnecessary services and provide great customer services. Business flourish because of word of mouth and I would not recommend this place to anyone in the way that they have treated my friend and co-worker. And lastly, she has repeatedly called regarding her money, and it seems as though they have blocked her number. Can you even imagine that a place owing you money and they have the nerve to block YOU.. what would happen, if it was the other way around! DO BETTER RICHARDSON GENERAL AND COSMETIC DENTISTRY... BTW ..I was forced to give a 1 star rating!

This location is pretty convenient for those in the Richardson area, or even neighboring cities because it borders Plano as well. Charlene (front desk admin) is very friendly and efficient. I always get text notifications (you can set this up with them) two times prior to coming in, and a confirmation call. This is really useful for me because I make the appointments 6 months out and don't remember the specifics. If you need to change your appointment, it's also quite convenient to change times / days. Just take a note to the days they aren't open! The process of cleaning and results are always clearly explained to me when a question arises. The cleaning and polishing process is a painless experience, and fairly quick for me (under the hour). Everyone here is so nice- Recommend this dentist!

My smile is ruined. Dentist Nishit is not very experienced with doing tooth fillings. He is quick…read morebut the fillings will be too big and under filled where brushing after every meal will not be enough to prevent cavities around the filling. The best he will offer is to redo the fillings and "will probably lead to root canal and crown." I had four fillings done by Nishit and all four failed the following month. I told him when he finished the fillings that when he used the floss it cut the floss. He said it was nothing to worry about and that he would make any touch ups for free when I come in a month later for cleaning. I said ok and brought it up again first thing when I came back for my cleaning a month later. The AI scan of my teeth confirmed the new fillings had all failed. I'm afraid to go back Richardson family dentistry as my teeth or so damaged I'm afraid to smile or take pictures anymore. My insurance was maxed out so I have to wait a full year to find a new dentist that can help me fix the mistakes. If you need any dental work beyond a cleaning. Please beware. I really hope no one has to be put through what I have been put through. The staff is nice and very polite including Nishit. He is just inexperienced with fillings.

Dr Yeary and team always keeps you informed of your dental status and options in easy to understand terms. When is the last you looked forward to going to the dentist? If you answered 'never' it could be…read morebecause you've neer been to Dr. Yeary. Dr. Yeary and his entire staff are amazing. Upon relocating to Dallas finding a new dentist was one of the many things I needed to do. And finding a great dentist was more challenging than I thought it would be. Thankfully I was able to go to my Yelp app and conduct my search. A BIG thank you to Nicole J. Upon coming across her initial review for Dr. Yeary I PM'ed her to gather more information. She promptly responded and the next thing I knew I was in the chair at Dr. Yeary's. Upon my first visit I knew I was in the correct place. Talk about rolling out the red carpet...the greeting I received upon arriving was both warm and professional. Instead of handing me some forms to complete, I was seated and asked a series of questions and the next thing I knew I was reviewing the 'new patient forms' and signing. I don't know about you but I am not a fan of completing those new patient forms. This approach made this part of the process so much more enjoyable. Next was the actually appointment in the dental chair. Dr. Yeary has state of the art equipment. As someone who enjoys technology I truly appreciate the setup here. From viewing X-rays on an overhead monitor to the cleaning tools, it all contributed to a great experience. Also, when the monitor is not in use for viewing X-rays, etc, the staff will gladly put it on a TV channel of choice. How cool is it to catch up on sports (ESPN) while having your teeth cleaned? And the comfortable dental chair made feel like I was at home in a recliner. Since my initial visit I've returned a couple of times and the level of warm professional service has been consistent. On one occasion I had a tooth fixed and the entire process was painless. And to top that off, later that evening I rececived a follow up call to see how I was doing. And guess who made the call? Dr. Yeary himself. I could not think of the last time I'd received a follow up call from my dentist (or doctor). Usually it's someone on staff who performs the follow up call. As we were heading into the weekend, Dr. Yeary made it clear that if I had any issues to call and he would get back to me immediately. When is the last time you had a dentist/doctor encouraging you to interrupt their weekend if required? I don't think I've had that occur. Lastly, I truly appreciate that Dr. Yeary looks to solve issues the most cost effective way. As we all know, dental work is expensive. It's good to work with a dentist who is looking to correct the problem the most cost effective way. And I appreciate that Dr. Yeary looks at a longer term fix, not just something to get through for a 12-18 months. I am very pleased that I found Dr. Yeary and his team. They are definitely a 5 star team.
