Extremely disappointed with the care and professionalism at this office. I've been trying to get treatment for a painful tooth for months, and was originally told a root canal was needed -- then later told they don't even do root canals after I followed up several times. I was also told they had submitted information to my insurance "by email" (which is not an accepted method), and only after I got my insurance company on a three-way call did they suddenly claim they had mailed it -- just the day before. When I questioned the inconsistency, I was abruptly hung up on. This has caused me unnecessary suffering, missed work, and severe pain. I've had to rely on over-the-counter pain relievers just to function while still not receiving the care I was promised. iPhone tracks and records call logs, and I am in the process of filing a formal report due to the negligence and the lack of professionalism. I waited hours for a cleaning and an exam.The dentist was pretty good in explaining my dental problems but he spent maybe 5 minutes cleaning my teeth.Made an appointment only to get there and there's a kid blasting rap music in the waiting room with a ghetto mother with two small children making an ass of herself arguing with the office girls.After about a twenty minute wait they tell me that my insurance won't cover the dental work.You think they could've told me about that while they were setting up the appointment??? I been coming here since I was younger, never had any problems with staff or DDS (they do change frequently). I been total since coming here, my teeth is in good condition, just stay away from Sugar and eating ice. They have all of my X-rays from 2011. This place might not be updated but it gets the job done. Always have appointments available. They always making calls for people to get appointments. Parking outside is not the best choic, unless you get the meterup APP! You treat people with kindness and you will get that in return. And be very patience give 2hrs max. They will try the best to get you in and out. Get a new tooth paste the good kind! The whiter and toothbrushes every 2months. read more

They forgot about me in the waiting room after I signed in until I went up to the desk to ask when I would be going back. When I finally went back at least 45 minutes after my appointment time, I still waited at least 30+ minutes after that to actually be seen by anyone besides the woman doing the X rays. There were ants crawling out of the water machine. Then comes the dentist...he screamed at me repeatedly and got angry at me over my habits even though he said my habits are better than most and my teeth are perfect with no cavities. He also didn't do anything to get the plaque off - all he did was brush so it was a complete waste of money. He also seemed to be making some unwanted advances along with the anger, so it was even more unsettling. He didn't put his mask on and I doubt he washed his hands either. Absolutely loved it! Makes no sense why they have low ratings. There was nearly no wait at all. Front desk was sweet, staff was sweet and understanding . Dr.W was amazing dealt with all my concerns and took his time to address my questions in detail. Very knowledgeable and patient! They were also accomidative of the fact that I had a bad acid reflex and needed to take the panoramic X-Ray. Thank you soooo much for your kind and patient demeanor, and for being so informative and understanding. I truly felt cared for. Worst dental office I've ever been to. The desk staff were nasty and rude. After confirming my appointment they claimed that I didn't have an appointment when I arrived. They claimed I had no insurance because they had the wrong address and street. I came in in a wheelchair and they tried to get rid of me. They had all of these stupid reasons which I told them how to overcome. They told me I needed a root canal after I showed them where the cavity and fistula were. Then they told me I had to leave. They called in an antibiotic but it was IV. My pharmacy tried to reach them but they wouldn't answer the phone. Then they finally prescribed clindamycin which I'm seriously allergic to. It was in my chart, and I told them that I absolutely couldn't take it. I could have died if I had. When I called them, they refused to prescribe another antibiotic and told me to call my family doctor. He gave me the script, and now I have to find another dentist. To make matters worse, I have a broken back and can barely stand and can't walk. I had to take an ambulance to the appointment. Now, I'm in horrible pain, and I think I broke a bone in my hand trying to get in the chair. This is the first time I've experienced abuse and bigotry because I'm disabled. He also knowingly pulled a tooth that had not been properly numbed. my grandmother was in pain during this process and there was no empathy or explanation of care. he walked out of the procedure room immediately after and left the Nurse/MA to further care for my gmom. They screwed up my filling causing me to have multiple sharp teeth AND new tooth pain, when i went back in the next day the dentist didnt believe me, even after inspecting my mouth and telling me the one tooth is one they didnt even fill (so they were just drilling at random teeth ig), ended up drilling the shit out of my teeth and now im left with even worse pain, if you care about your teeth at all DONT GO HERE. Soooo...went to a new dentist office yesterday (Gentle Dentistry on 52nd and Chestnut). NEVER EVER AGAIN IN MY LONG LEGGED LIFE will I go there again! 1st issue: when i called to make the appointment I was told that someone would call me back to confirm and gather information. No one called, and i actually had to call them the day of to make sure they even had me on schedule. 2nd issue: I get to this little dusty dentist office, and I've never seen so much unorganization in my life. My appointment was for 4:15. I wasn't taken to the back until 5pm. When I finally get to the back the DA put my birthday in wrong. When i asked her to correct it, she said. "oh, they do that at the front desk." Why should they have to correct your mistake if I'm telling you while you're in my chart that its wrong? 3rd issue: what in the dirty scrubs, unsanitized everything is happening in this place? When i say EVERYONE...the dentist, the dental assistants... all of them just stained from head to toe. The dentist himself has to be like 90 yrs old, and looked like his shirt had been balled up in the corner with a cat sleeping on it, and he got up shook it out and put it on. He used Purell on his hands like 10 times, but i never actually witnessed him running any water. I had to ask him to put on gloves before touching my face and i just watched him touch everything and everyone else. 4th issue: it took the DA almost 10 tries to xray my teeth correctly. Where did she go to school? He told her what number teeth to xray, and another DA had to come show her what side. Very frustrating. 5th issue: went through the entire visit, and the front desk supervisor tried to treat me for stuff i wasn't there for. I clearly told them i was there to get a tooth that was in pain fixed, i was not there for a check up. We actually got into an argument, she refused to give me a prescription after being diagnosed with an infection and told me they couldn't do anything for me. 6th issue: I check my coverage the next day, and they got paid for the service. When i called them back to question why i couldn't be treated for a paid service she told me to come next week for the prescription, but i was diagnosed yesterday with an infection. Why do I have to wait a week to be treated for an infection? Then they FINALLY subscribe a medication, and its a medication that I'm allergic too. By far the WORST service I've ever received. I wouldn't recommend a roach being treated in this facility, and I'm surprised they haven't been shut down for health code violations. This place is an entire mess. Waited over an hour for an appointment previously scheduled. Places such as this make me wish that businesses came with a professionalism grade. Spoke to a dentist in advance to convey that i had limited time and would be there on my lunch break and he assured me that there should be no time conflict as I was only getting a consultation. My appointment was for noon and at 12:50 I decided to return to work as I had not yet been in to even see the dentist and when I asked the front desk attendant he was unable to even give me a ballpark as to when I would be seen. I am crying as I am writing this review. I had the worst experience visiting a dentist. I went there to do two filling and had to wait an hour after my appointment. When I expressed dissatisfaction with the long wait, an employee offered me $20 as compensation for the delay. So, the dentist did the filling, and I was in pain from when I left. I called and let them know about my discomfort and when I could come in as I had just started working. They canceled two times as no other of their dentists wanted to work on me for fear of liability. The one who did the filling was unavailable or had to leave before my scheduled appointment. Two weeks after the filling, one came out. This "dentist" wanted to recommend medication for the pain, but how can I trust this lady when she did a shoddy job? I went to another dentist and did another set of x-ray, only to find out that the filling came out because the wisdom tooth was growing in its direction. Did the shoddy dentist not see that on the X-rays she took? And to compound matters, the new imaging showed that the dentist did not fill the second cavity! I had to pay the second dentist for the x-rays as my insurance did not cover two in that time frame. And, according to a statement from my insurance company, I owe Gentle Dentistry1 For what? FOR WHAT? I completed my amoxicillin and ibuprofen meds and cannot get in to see an oral surgeon until November. Readers, stay far away from this practice. Do yourself a favor and find another place to go. The general rudeness, disrespect and uncleanliness of the place should be enough. But it wasn't till I overheard the dentist disrespect an elderly woman in the next chair over that I decided to get up from the chair and not have any services done. I feared of what might come next. I had a wonderful experience today. The front desk staff was super nice, however I want to give a shout out to the young lady that took my X-rays. Unfortunately, I don't know her name but she was very kind, friendly and had a positive attitude. She definitely has great interpersonal skills. Also my dentist Dr. Jones, was very reassuring and very patient with me. I got my teeth clean and he also extracted a crack tooth. I was so nervous and he really took his time and was gentle. He has great bedside manners and did a beautiful job cleaning my teeth, I was very impressed. read more
