First off, when I first sat down with Arbi and Mane, they gave me all the information possible. They walked me through the process and helped me stay informed considering I never had experience with any hospice. They were very helpful and understanding of my family's needs as well my grandmother's. After conducting meetings with several other hospice's, I noticed that their main focus is on customer service. Throughout the whole process, Arbi and Mane informed me of everything that was occurring. They were very professional throughout it all. If you are looking for a hospice, I recommend Divinity Hospice. The service, empathy, professionalism is amazing!

The care and attention that was given to her while under the care of Divinity was not only extremely professional but more importantly filled with love and genuine care. We consider each of the caregivers our forever friends. Arbi, the owner of Divinity, is a very hands on caring owner. He takes on each patient with attention to detail and takes the time to know them and provide caregivers with the skills to meet their individual needs. My mom would light up when they came in and would always work hard to know their names and talk with them. I cannot recommend Divinity Hospice enough. Your loved one will be in good hands and under great care!

I feel blessed that my mother and I chose Hoffmann Hospice for her end of life care. After three…read moresurgeries for cancer, my mother moved into an assisted living facility in 2013 for 14 months before she enthusiastically returned to independent living. Even though she had a pacemaker, her heart issues required nothing more than close monitoring by her primary care physician and cardiologist until seven months ago. She suffered congestive heart failure in June 2019, broke her pelvic bone in July and experienced a second episode of heart failure in September that same year. Each time, she entered rehab after being discharged from the hospital. Things seemed to be going OK until January 2020. Her heart failed again, but this time, her lungs were compromised. The hospital staff talked about rehab before steering us toward other options. My mother and I agreed that returning to assisted living with hospice care added to her care plan was the best thing to do. We chose Hoffmann. The nurse who evaluated my mother and approved my mother's admission was thorough, very professional and at the same time treated my mother like a dear friend. I arrived at the assisted living facility late Friday afternoon a few minutes before my mother entered her apartment. Hoffmann's staff had already delivered a hospital bed, a new wheelchair, an oxygen concentrator and other medical supplies. The admitting nurse stopped by later that same day to review my mom's treatment plan. My mom was weary but alert and talkative. As a result, I was hoping my mom would plateau for some weeks or maybe even months. However, that did not happen. Over the weekend, my mother's condition started to decline. Rajvir Sidhu, the RN case worker assigned to my mother, started visiting my mom multiple times daily. Her focus was keeping my mother comfortable while she closely monitored my mother's condition which was deteriorating from day to day. Hoffmann sent a chaplain and case worker to support Rajvir's care for my mom. I was surprised but welcomed these extra layers of care. Based on my experience, Rajvir was kind and compassionate throughout the hospice process... more like a daughter than someone assigned to a medical staff. Within four days, my mother lost all appetite and had difficulty communicating as her breathing became more difficult. An hour before my mother left this world to join our Lord, Rajvir was still hovering over her trying to make her comfortable. When my mother finally found peace, I was with her. After some quiet time alone with my mother, I called for Rajvir and she returned to my mother's room to confirm what I already knew. Rajvir's compassion then turned toward me. When I was ready, Rajvir stepped forward and helped guide me through the next steps in preparing my family to say their final farewells. Yes, I unequivocally recommend Hoffmann Hospice.

There are other hospices in town which are more helpful and more compassionate. The inpatient care seemed better than outpatient. I would give inpatient care 4 stars.

This is absolutely the best place for her. She is genuinely loved, cared for, and supported in every way she needs. My mom has shown improvement, and although she is not yet able to walk on her own, I have complete peace of mind knowing she is in such compassionate and capable hands. I cannot thank them enough for the comfort and reassurance they give me every day. The care and love my mom receives from Stacy and all of the caregivers goes far beyond anything I could have hoped for. I am trying to be understanding that they are trying to fix the major issues that I've asked them…read moreto work on. My 92yr old father moved into the Memory Care Community. He is a high level operating Senility patient whose brain is still there but a major stroke and several major falls have caused him to lose his focus and new memories. He has sun-downing effects and is a FALL RISK. I asked them the first week he was there to fix the follow: Give him a way to call for help when he needed to transfer from bed to wheelchair to arm chair to bathroom. He knows when he needs to urinate and should not be forced to wear Depends because he can't call for help. He is also stubborn enough, and mentally sun-downing enough to try and stand up and walk to the bathroom or to transfer to his wheelchair by himself. He WILL fall if he tries this. I made THAT very clear. To add a towel bar to his bathroom so that he didn't have to drape his towel over his support grab bar, thus reducing it's level of safety. To provide power extension cords, they did not want me to provide them, as my father has a phone, a electric bed, a cell phone, hearing aids, a internal spinal Stimulator and remote (both with a separate charger cord), an electric armchair, a bedside lamp, and a mini-fridge. All needing to be plugged in and there are only three 2-plug outlets in his room. To hang the curtains I purchased, at his request, as he has light sensitivity and the window shades have to be closed at all times without the curtains. The shades make the room very DARK. During the day he wants to be able to find his glasses, the TV remote, and his phone but can't in the dark. In the 1st two weeks he was there, NONE of these issues were met. I had stressed to them the only reason I was moving him in there was because I could no longer keep him from falling by myself. So, my 92yr old FALL RISK dad needed to urinate and, yelling at the top of his lungs to no effect, he got up and fell forward hitting his face and forehead. He lay on the floor for over 15 minutes before a med tech found him. Since then, after speaking to the Administrator, they have addressed most of these issues. HOWEVER, he should not have to have his door left open so he can Hollar at the top of his lungs for help to the toilet. I'm heading back to Bakersfield this week to see if they can find an alternative to his having to yell or be left to soil his Depends. On another note, the Assisted Living members I pass in the hallways seem to be happy and there seem to be lots of activities for them in Assisted Living. I wish he qualified for Assisted Living I really do. I am native to Bakersfield but have to work on clearing out his out of state house and selling it for him. We will see. If things look better I will update my review.
