Tucked along the busy strip of restaurants and businesses under the Mezza Residences is probably…read moresome of the best ramen I've had in Metro Manila--and that's saying something, because ramen is a big deal in these parts! It doesn't have the international recognition of Ippudo or Santouka or the creativity of Nagi, but the ramen here feels as though someone is treating you for a nice dinner at home. There are only three flavors available of the ramen, the shiro (classic), kuro (garlic), and aka (spicy). I've had both the kuro and aka, and I can say that they are extremely satisfying. Neither the garlic nor the spice was too overpowering. The broth was also extremely well-balanced. Not too fatty but still smooth enough to make you want to slurp the bowl once you've finished. The pork cuts weren't as tender as I've had at other places, but still very well done. The tamago was also well done. Love the runniness! But what puts this place over the edge into 5-star territory is the price. You can get a super filling bowl of ramen here for only 230 pesos! And that's for the larger size! I wager that's basically half of what you'd pay at the more upscale mall places for nearly the same quality. I was also able to try one of their sets featuring a bowl of ramen of your choosing, their gyudon rice don on the side and a bowl of fresh fruits for only 360 pesos. I was stuffed after. So so worth it. The gyoza was also really well made, and a steal for only 100 pesos. The staff here is always super attentive and accommodating, even when we've come in with a larger group, and they do accept all major credit cards, which is a huge plus for me. Definitely worth a try. I don't have to venture out to the more upscale parts of the Metro to enjoy a well-curated bowl of ramen anymore!

Chef was fun and cheerful while orchestrating all that cooking for 25 people!! Service was attentive and didn't have to wait long for anything. Ambiance was festive, nice Japanese decor too. Each dish was served individually; it was like getting a little surprise every time. The cook cleaned the cook top in between dishes, then announced what he was preparing before starting. WE HAD: - stir fried veggies were peppery. They were swimming in liquid. - Eggplant was charred and had a strong smoky flavor - Salmon tataki I enjoyed it's citrusy sauce. - fried rice was oily -Tenderloin was cooked medium and was tender. - Shrimp bamboo soup tasted mostly of seaweed -Miso soup was your standard run of the mill kind - Usuyaki beef was stuffed with mushroom, tasty - Bacon - garlic slivers went best with this YUM! - Creme brulee had a very thin sugar topping - Filipino ice cream not a fan Canned soda and bottled water, no complimentary service water. A couple of times the cook set a ribbon of oil on fire just for show. Empty dishes were taken right away. Heavy handed with salt, and garlic slices were on top of almost everything. I would return for specific menu items.

It's usually always better quality and tasty. Im not talking about japan good which is always a 10/10 but this was more like a 8/10 and the pricing made it 9/10 lol. There was not a negative thing I could say about the times I visited and ate lol my husband did I am sure get tired of it. He's more into Filipino food of course but usually if you grow up in the provinces food like this place isn't a daily or weekly thing so for him he got tired of it quickly lol I went to the one at MOA near the road entrance and the location at SM Baguio and both were fantastic! You do not have to talk to anyone lol which is more of my style. You click and choose what you want on the TV screen and it comes out to you. If it is a drink or larger item like a soup, they will hand deliver it but it's a quick drop and go kind of thing. There is a hot water spout at your table with matcha (which isn't the best grade) but it works lol Air con worked, it was never really "busy" when we went. Only a few tables but I'm sure it's because everyone was working at the times when we went.
