Tang Wang, unassuming from the outside, is an establishment of authentic, tasty Szechuan cuisine. The baked fish that we so wanted was two river fishes crispy fried sitting atop a pile of potato, rice cake, lotus root, cauliflower and other vegetables. Other highlights include the green crunchy vegetables ( I can much on that all day) and the spicy tripe dishes. They also have fried sesame balls that we ordered to round out our spicy meal. Freshly fried, the balls were crispy and the red bean filling nice and sweet.

I hoped for the best and ordered beef noodle soup with green veggies, but what I got was almost black, cold and tough sliced meat, sliced tomatoes, instant noodles and hot oil water. I couldn't eat more than a few bites. :( I just wanted to pay and leave, but then I noticed that they charged me twice for my single order of green tea. And my server didn't seem to speak German or English. There are so many delicious options in the area - just steer clear of this place.

We ordered food, and while making it, they actually came out with bowls of rice to let the kids eat first while we waited! The servers are always keeping an eye out to help. The food is superb, from the fish cake soup to the fried chicken, every was cooked perfectly. The bon chon was also very tasty, the kiddos even asked for more of the bean sprouts.

I totally understand why this place is always jam packed and hard to grab a seat. I personally enjoyed the japchae with veggies the most. It has a nice charcoal flavor which I really enjoyed. The matcha ice cream was very matchay which I liked and the galbizim was great with slight sweet taste. I'd just order these two if I had to decide The taebokki was nice, pretty standard. The bulgogi was great too, just slightly too sweet for me but all three worth an order.

We were delighted that Takeichi was open on a Sunday when quite a lot of other businesses are closed! We snagged the last available bar seats facing the window- this place was BUMPING on a chilly Sunday afternoon even at 3pm. The kimchi as a starter was a win, better than what we can find in Amsterdam. The takoyaki was also delicious- served piping hot and resh. We tried the delicious tan tan men, and their shoyu ramen. The tan tan men was my favorite - creamy chicken soup, sesame paste, chili oil. I'm not sure why the shoyu wasn't as tasty, but the portions were perfect and the amount of noodles was just how we liked. Prompt and friendly service, casual atmosphere with lots of space, and everything you could want on a wintry day. Thank you, Takeichi, for warming us up!

FOOD & DRINKS While they offer menu items, I wouldn't…read moresuggest you get those. Just get the all you can eat hot pot like everyone else. You have different options for the broth which also includes a vegetarian variant. The selection of seafood, meats and veggies is large enough to make everyone happy. They even offer some dim sum and snack items on top of your all you can eat hot pot. That said, most of the dim sum items are not good if you compare it to a dim sum specialized restaurant but since its all you can eat, you can give some a try. I just wouldn't recommend it with a few exceptions like the desert or snack items. Lately they even offer a lobster broth and one serving of premium beef, a bit of lobster and crab. The meat and seafood items have ok quality. I wouldn't say its the best I've gotten at an all you can eat place but decent enough. SERVICE I would say the service is good. Very friendly and always helpful. The first time was the best though. The owner took the time to greet us in person, explained everything carefully and just showed a lot of care. ATMOSPHERE While the previous location was kinda small, the new restaurant is quite large with lots of seating available inside and outside. The best about this hot pot is that everyone has their own pot. It is like your own personal fondue. No need to restrict yourself to specific broths when you come with a party that also includes vegetarians. RATING I have been here when they still had the location in the city center. Then I visited them when they newly opened at a larger place a bit outside of the city center and since then I have been here on a few celebration occasions. The rating is based on all the experiences I had so far. They improved over time in terms of service and overall quality.

Three large pieces of meat for 17€ is what I think is about fair. The meat had a perfect ratio between lean and fat. Sometimes the marinade can be a tad too sweet for some people but I find they marinated it very settle when it comes to the sweetness. The fresh lettuce, fluffy rice and dipping sauce made my dish complete. SERVICE Service was nice and friendly. Food was served fast and hot. ATMOSPHERE The décor is Korean but I feel like there is also a touch of a Chinese restaurant in it. And with that I mean the furniture looks like the ones you will find in a typical old Chinese restaurant. A lot of red and dark wood. I don't really mind and I can imagine some customers even like it that way. RATING Was the food out of this world? No, I guess? Was the food good? Yes, very much so. I personally would give it more like a 4 to 4.5 stars but in all fairness there is nothing really I could complain about with my experience here.
