I went to this place because of all the great reviews, but now I am suspect of the 5 star reviews. It's not the experience I had. I had four 33 gallon trash bags completely filled with 16 oz water bottles, one 33 gallon trash bag filled with 64 oz juice bottles, one bag filled with aluminum cans, one bag filled with plastic milk bottles and a large box filled with glass wine bottles. I counted and weighed all recyclables and by my calculations I was shorted over $10. When I told the worker there it wasn't correct, he kind of hissed at me, gave me a dirty look and tuned around and went back to work. If it was slightly off, I could probably understand that, but to be off by over $10??? So, I will never waste my time at this place again. Total rip off and a JOKE! BEWARE! read more

I used to go here regularly until about a year ago, when I realized I would sometimes come away with less money than when I visited other recycling locations. And so on one particular visit, I made sure to count my plastic 1 gallon water containers, which happened to be 60 (15 per large bag x 4) @ $0.10 CRV. As I was unloading my SUV and dumping the contents of each bag into a barrel, the helper would come over and start unloading the barrels faster than I could fill them up. Initially I thought, "Wow, such great service". However, to my dismay, a few minutes later the manager hands me $4 dollars and some change. Immediately, my eyes blinked, and I asked him what this was all about, and he told me that he weighed my load, and that is what it came out to. I of course responded with, "What happened to the $0.10 CRV that I am supposed to be getting? I gave you 60 containers, so that should be $6.00 even." Before I could take a breath, the manager's little helper butted in and said, "You only had 50." Again I blinked in disbelief. I then told him that the bags I used fit exactly 15 one gallon jug containers, and will leave me just enough slack to tie a small knot at the top to close it. And that each one of the bags was full to the brim. The then started counting the containers in the barrels, and when he got to 50, he tried to look at me like I was crazy. However, that look didn't last too long, because I recalled he had been tossing some of my containers into the shed while my back was turned to unload my SUV. So I asked him what about the containers you were throwing into the shed? Are you going to count those? Of course he had no reply. As I made my way to the main dump just inside the barn doors of the shed, I could plainly see the labels of the 1 gallon water jugs the helper had skimmed off the top. The manager then chimed back in and said, "We only can take 50 at a time. There is a limit." I told him, "If there is a limit, that is fine, but you have no business telling me I turned 50, when I know I brought 60. Then try to short change me, while hiding the remaining containers....Just because your limit is 50, that doesn't give you the right to start weighing stuff in lieu of the $0.10 cents I am due per container, while swiping the rest... I can just go to another recycler. While getting cheated out of a buck is not the end of the world, what I did not like was the helper's attitude and his feeble attempt to call me a liar about the number of containers I turned in. It was insulting, and it took everything I learned in an anger management class I took a few years ago to just load my SUV and find another recycler. As I drove away, it then dawned on me that if these guys are willing to skim a buck off of me, they are probably skimming a buck off every customer. Assuming they get 50 customers in a day, six days a week, that could really begin to add up to some hefty self-induced tips that the State of California is not receiving to put back into supporting other recycling projects. Which of course I do not appreciate. I hate thieves, and I hate being cheated with a passion. Suffice it to say, I have not been back to this place since last summer. I now look for ways to reuse plastic containers at home by cutting off the tops and planting flowers or trees in them. The way the economy is nowadays, 9 times out of 10 it is not worth the gas it takes to drive to a recycling center anyway. Nor is it worth the aggravation of being scammed. read more

I'm impressed! I hesitated on writing this review due to the possibility of too many people going to this recycling kiosk. However, it is so good that the owner and all the kind employees deserve to have their business grow and earn more money. First of all, the place is located behind the Von's grocery store. There is plenty of room and parking for everyone. Before I could park and get out of my car, I had a nice employee approach the rear of my car with several large recycling buckets. He greeted me and he quickly grabbed bags that I removed out of my car. He carried all the buckets to the kiosk where other employees helped. There was little I had to do except wait for my cash and sign my receipt. This place is way more superior to all the other places located on the east end of Lancaster. Much nicer, much cleaner and way more friendlier. I will be taking all my recyclables there for now on! read more

Honestly just moved here I've lived in Los Angeles all my life and I've gone to many recycling and no one has the best customer service then here I've park and right away was helped by two helpful men. Definitely recommend everyone was very polite and there quick as well!!!! read more

The men working today were absolutely amazing. I will continue coming here time after time. As soon as I pulled up, got out of my car, a gentleman was walking towards me with the baskets to fill. The employees at this location are always so helpful and I've found the process is much quicker then other recycling businesses. Each time I call to see what the hours of operation are my calls are answered. They weigh and pay at the location which cuts out the time it use to take going into the grocery store with the ticket. They make the process as simple as it can get accepting everything including but not limited to glass, aluminum, large detergent containers ect. This place is awesome! The time before last, the guy was taking the stuff out of my trunk right after I turned the engine off. You no longer have to take your receipt into Von's to get the money. During the Covid coin shortage, they rounded my money up so we didn't have to use pennies. The State of CA should give them a bonus since all the re-planet places closed. read more
