In addition to pop bottles and cans, I want to recycle wine bottles and don't care that they do not pay for those. I believe they were once set up to allow customers to contribute their pay-outs to our son's Boy Scout troop. Maybe they still do that with other non-profits. I hope they recycle cardboard whether they pay or not. I don't want it to go to the landfill.

He makes small talk and is always polite. People complaining about them not assisting in sorting, must not understand how recycling places work. You are supposed to sort your own recycling before you get there. Also, if you want to get paid for each individual item, find somewhere with the machines that you can insert them one by one, otherwise, they weigh them and you get paid by the weight and not what you paid. Not sure where these unrealistic expectations of a recycling facility come from.

Happy Earth Day, 2026!…read more Did you know that humans produce over 460 million metric tons of plastic every year? After learning this, the first thought that came to my mind was 'This is a huge number! How much actually is this?' Consider this: This is more weight than the weight of the Eiffel Tower (Paris), Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco), Brooklyn Bridge (New York), Empire State Building (New York), Statue of Liberty (New York), Leaning Tower of Pisa (Italy), Great Pyramid of Giza (Egypt), Burj Khalifa (Dubai), Space Needle (Seattle), Tokyo Skytree (Japan), The Pentagon (Virginia), and the Great Wall of China, ALL COMBINED, TIMES SEVEN! That's A LOT of plastic! Worse yet, we produce this amount of plastic EVERY year, and studies predict that it takes approximately 450 years for a plastic bottle to decompose in a landfill. That means that the plastic bottle that you throw in the trash will still be there for approximately 18 generations of your descendants after you. If you don't recycle, you are literally trashing our planet for your own offspring! And, Earth is the only planet that we know of that is capable of supporting life. OK, I'll get off my soapbox now. Aside from trying to be a good citizen of planet Earth, I also recycle because I could always use some extra cash. I can usually pocket around $20 for every visit I make here, which really helps because I am certainly not a rich man. This particular location is a great option for recycling, here at "Benites Recycling," located just behind Bob's Market (Lancaster, California). I've been to this location several times. The money you receive by recycling here is similar to what you will receive at other nearby recycling centers. There are three things I like about this location in particular, as follows: (1) they typically do not require you to show your I.D. like they do at some other locations; (2) they use lightweight recycling bins, so they can quickly obtain an accurate weight of your recycling without having to tare the weight of the bins; and (3) the wait here is usually minimal because there are usually less people here than at some of the other recycling centers I have gone to. Although I believe the folks here are honest, the only thing I don't like about this location is how the actual recycling weight is difficult for the customer to see unless the customer walks around the scale and stands next to the employee reading the weight. Aside from this one drawback, I do like coming here for the reasons mentioned above. I'll definitely return to this location in the future. If you don't recycle here, please recycle somewhere.

Ordered a transmission. Paid with bank transfer (forced because he gets charged backs on credit…read morecards, now we know why, it's a scam). Week after week he kept saying he shipped it and it never came. Week after week kept having a new excuse. Months go by he finally ships the rare 1986 transmission and only includes one mounting bracket. It is effectively a $750 paper weight now for the last 2 years I'm searching for the other mounting bracket so I can install it just. Meanwhile he tells me when I say I need the other mounting bracket... "It's not my problem". So he sold a transmission supposedly in working order but only gave 1/2 of the required equipment to mount it... making a $750 paper weight that can't be installed, used, or tested. I have months of text exchanges of his lies, delays, excuses. Meanwhile I'm homeless and my home (the van) stays broken and after I excruciatingly (painfully disabled with nerve damage) worked so hard to save up to buy this transmission... it was a scam all a long. I can't afford to buy another just to get the mounting bracket that was supposed to come with it (if I could even FIND one) and he refused to help. This place is a scam. He has no heart, He has no soul, I'm trying to save enough money to drive out to sue (because i'm out of state).

One of my friends referred me to Auto Quest Dismantling Yard in the city of Lancaster. I called this dismantling yard (Auto Quest) in Lancaster and someone by the name of Robert picked up the phone and he nicely answered all my questions about a used hybrid battery for my 2010 Toyota Prius. When I visited the yard to buy and pick up the used battery, I met with Robert in person and he spent quite some time with me and he showed me the yard and explained me that they not only sale the used OEM parts for my 2010 Toyota Prius but also they have good quality used OEM parts for a large variety of cars such as Honda, Nissan, Chevy, Mazda, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Dodge, and many other domestic and foreign imported cars as well!!! In addition, I learned that they amazingly provide free delivery of the parts to the shops and private parties with absolutely No Extra Charge or Fee. I have been very satisfied with this experience and I am very glad that I found out about this dismantling yard in the neighboring city. I am so happy and satisfied with their honesty, great prices, and professional customer service that I highly recommend everyone to contact and visit this yard for their Auto Part needs of any kind.
