It was a cold Sunday morning when our furnace went out. We called a company (not Gene's) that we had used in the past. They came and told us it would be over $1,200 to repair. We are 74, retired, and have limited funds. We couldn't afford it, so that repairman left, and we were left in the cold. It was 14 degrees outside and we were panicking. We called Gene's. Soon after, their repairman Mathew showed up at our door. He took the furnace apart and checked many things the other "repairman" never looked at. He emptied out the Condensation Trap which had filled with water, then put it back together. It worked perfectly. No parts were needed. He charged us $155 for his service. Mathew was an angel. He is a good and honest repairman. He made the comment that he takes a lot of satisfaction in helping people do things that they can't do for themselves. The other company was a cheating company who wanted to sell us parts we didn't need. Gene's is an HONEST company. God bless them. We simply can't say enough about how much we appreciate what they did to help us. read more
