Most people rate tattoo artist based solely on the tattoo, but having been to multiple artists, I can assure you the whole experience needs to be considered. I got this tattoo back in January, and I waited to post this review to see if I would get used to the tattoo Erica gave me. Sadly, I haven't and I didn't have a great experience getting the tattoo, either. I had gone to Erica before for a tiny tattoo and she was nothing but polite and very personable. The second (and last) time I went, it started out that way, but didn't end on a great note. I wanted a small floral piece different than the one I got. Erica said I needed to go bigger so the lines don't blend together and end up making the flowers look like circles (fine). During the tattoo, everything was going great until the end when she said "Don't get green ink in your next tattoo." I asked why to which she said "Why?! Why do you think?! Your skin doesn't like it." Which I thought the way she said it was pretty rude. (I'm not a tattoo artist so I have no idea what you're talking about ).She also told me my skin was really dry which was why I had angry skin after the tattoo. I feel like she got frustrated with the green ink situation and took her frustration out on me, which ultimately led to her doing a poor job on my tattoo. I think the tattoo she gave me is subpar. It just looks like someone drew flowers on me with crayola crayons. It doesn't look natural, the colors are too bright , the lines in the flowers blend into each other, and the green ink for the stems turned out kinda splotchy. I left the shop that day feeling like a defective canvas and not an actual human being with feelings. Also, I sent her a picture of what I wanted with the deposit months before the tattoo appointment. She couldn't have told me in the email that what I wanted wasn't doable? She had to wait until the day of the appointment? Really? She might be talented with other types of tattoos, but if you're looking for a delicate floral piece, don't go here. read more

Just got a tattoo done tonight with Erica. By far one of the friendliest, cleanest, and most honest shops I have been in for quite some time. The receptionist, Emily, greeted me when I came in and gave me all the required documentation to fill out, offered a snack or a drink while I was waiting. Erica was very honest and informative about what could be done with the tattoo I currently have. I was dead set on getting water color added to a current tattoo, but after speaking with Erica who gave me her professional and honest opinion on how water color works I realized it was not the best option. She never once tried to upsell me or tried to steer me in a bad direction. In fact she hit the nail right on the head suggesting that I get an addition, one which I was already planning on doing, to complete the piece. Erica is by far the best around. Both my husband and myself go to her. I have numerous tattoos and hers top them all. I go in with ideas and she takes the time to talk them thru with me. Telling me what will look best over the longevity of the tattoo. My 18 year old goes to her as well. Like most young men he wants all this stuff. She guides him on what to do and how it will flow with his future tattoos. And tells him if an idea is bad!!! As a mom you don't want your young kids getting crazy tattoos that they will regret. Terrible spot. Erica way over charged and did an AWFUL job. Was told by a mutual friend that she was bragging about over charging me too - so unprofessional. I need to get the entire thing redone - it's that bad. When I complained she sent very threatening text messages and voicemails. Stay away! read more

No exaggeration this was the worst tattoo experience of my life!!The owner/only tattoo artist was very rude to me and my girlfriend from the beginning,we both went in wanting crown rings on our middle fingers.What seemed so simple turned into the most complicated situation I've ever had to deal with.The misunderstanding was that the artist thought I wanted a ring atop of my finger instead of around my finger.I explained I wanted it around my finger 4 times,while she disagreed with me.I guess at Generation 0ne "The customer is always Wrong".After she complained for 15 minutes and insulted my ink by saying it was dated,or out of style I told her that is a matter of opinion,and I didn't get tattoos for others approval she became furious. She then proceeded by threatening to call the police if I did not pay,which I never objected to pay lol.And said she was going to have a cigarette,because she felt like STABBING ME WITH A NEEDLE!!!Then I asked for a refund which she would not give me.I'm very dissapointed with the professionalism of this establishment.Please avoid the trouble and DO NOT GO HERE!!!
