So I came here the first time, niece in tote to check it out and we both fell in love. It's not as cheap as some might have you believe, there are some really incredible sales/deals at times (ex: newborn onesies at 2$ each, crocs for kids for 5$ etc...), but not everything is so low priced. However the items are excellent quality and there are brand names too. It's my reliable go-to when shopping for my niece n nephew or any baby shower for that matter. P.s. It's in some random parking lot off the side of a main street so it may seem like it's closed or not there...but it is there and it is open. Free parking lot.

This place makes me dream of having friends over again whenever covid restrictions have lifted!…read more The base pricing here for regular sized items is ok. Some of it is cheaper than grocery stores and others are more expensive. However, some are definitely a great price if you buy 3 or more. Example, the 510g of McCain Deep'n Delicious sell for $4.99 when on sale at the grocery store and typically is $5.30ish regular price. Here, you're getting them for only $4.97 each and that drops to $4.47 if you buy 3 or more. Also if you want to buy a year's supply of flour, no need to pay overpriced for the 2.5kg bags at $4.99 from the grocery store! Here, you can secure a 20kg bag of Robin Hood flour for only $14.99. Major cost savings. You'll never buy pre-made bread ever again! If my math is correct, this would be equivalent to getting the 2.5kg bags for only $1.75. A customer walked in an asked for a pallette of 40 x 20kg bags of flour. I guess they know a good price when they see it too! Although they're President's Choice, they didn't ask for my PC points card. Looks like it might not apply here. They have tons of takeout containers and boxes too. Great for food a fundraiser. Hopefully, covid dies down soon and I can come back and buy 3+ portions to take advantage of the bulk pricing and invite guests over!

We bought 3 pairs of mocassins here (and a couple pairs at Iron Horse too) over 10 years ago. And…read morethey're all only NOW starting to need replacement. My bf's pair in particular is getting to be in dire need of replacement. I decided to surprise him with a brand new pair for Christmas, though he knows I'm in the process of knitting him a pair of slippers (which will be rightfully ignored with the new mocassins!) Needless to say I wasn't going to bother with some cheap a$$ faux mocassins somewhere else, I knew I had to find the place we originally bought them. I could not remember the name of the place nor exactly where they were in town and so instinct was my driver. The first turn was right, but then I lost myself somewhere down the unmarked residential streets of town and had just resigned myself to heading back home over the bridge, with the intention of just telling my bf about the thoughtful gift I couldn't quite get on Christmas morning. When what to my wondering eyes did appear: " Wolf's Den, Mocassins, Gifts, Beads etc. ", instinct took the wheel and signaled left and turned in. I was not at all on the road I remembered it being on and first turned down. I had only gotten there because I got lost and decided to give up and go home empty handed. Christmas miracle folks. I walked in.. And knew I was in the right place. The service was fabulous, they were happy to hear my tale about their mocassins lasting over 10 years and to help me find a brand new pair. Then they told me it's an extra 10% off (on top of tax being included) for the last week before Christmas sale! They totally could have charged full price and I would have been happy to oblige. On top of authentic mocassins at super reasonable prices, they also sell plenty of beading material, furs for crafting, jewellery, clothing, souvenirs etc. Definitely worth checking out! I will be back, sooner rather than later to replace my own pair too!

Retail price: $250 FPR price: $5 Le Creuset enameled cast iron frying pan, white, in near mint condition Retail price: $150 FPR price: $5 Azzedine Alaia sweater, navy blue, slightly used, no holes, no stains, Made in Italy, 100% wool Retail Price: $2000+ FPR price: $7 Aquascutum navy blue trench coat, never worn and still had the tags attached Made in Great Britain, 100% wool Retail price: $2000+ FPR price: $35 1960s/70s era Chrome General Electric, round tea kettle On ebay: $100 FPR price: $7 I have also found Italian Merino wool sweaters for $7, large heavy, metal decorative mirror in sunburst design $12, ceramic clay plant pots for 50 cents, 1970's Viking Blender for $7 with metal machine parts, not the stupid breakable plastic kind they have nowadays, home yogurt making machine, Depression-era glass goblets in ruby or cobalt blue, Calvin Klein and Banana Republic hoodies, giant snap-top jars for keeping dried foodstuffs for $1, complete book series of Harry Potter and A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), foldable IKEA garden table $5 and a whole slew of other stuff. You get the idea. Mind you I didn't just stop in here once or twice and happen to get all this cool stuff. I walk by this place practically everyday on my way to the metro so I usually get in a chance to duck in and have a quick look around. That and having a trained eye towards quality goods will eventually land you something if you're persistent enough. I really dislike the disposable, throw-away aspect of our culture and there really is truth that one person's junk can be another person's treasure. Plus Fripe-Prix Renaissance's mission is about helping persons who are usually disadvantaged get some skills and build up the confidence to stand on their own. Shopping here is just a win-win situation for everybody.
