KFC - too much breading, not enough meat. Mon dinner 2023-11-20
Ziyan C.

RESERVATIONS Made a few days in advance for a Monday 6:30pm dinner in November. We ended up running late due to traffic and pushed the reservation back a coupe times until 7:30pm and the staff were nice about that. THE COST $189.82 including tax/tips for dinner for 4 adults, 2 toddlers (who were free), plus 3 drinks and 1 dessert. I read online they charge for kids 5-10, but they didn't charge us for our 5 year old. THE SERVICE Fine, and fast. They order on an iPad at your table, so even as your ordering, your meat orders start coming out! THE DRINKS * Sojujito Pomegranate $9.95 - 3 stars Very sweet, I was looking forward to the tart pomegranate taste but didn't get too much of that. THE FOOD Don't get: Japchae (way too plain), the ice cream macaron (macaron is hard as a rock) Must haves: Anything bulgogi, Gen Premium Steak, Pork belly (any type) Just ok: KFC (lots of crunch, not a lot of meat), anything spicy (things are very spicy here, including the Dwenjang Soup and Korean Style Pork Riblet), Fish katsu.

Easy to get to location and less busy. Attentive service and delicious food for our large party. Thank you !

We haven't been here in a while and decided it was time. We were created right away and advised it would be just a few minutes while they got a table ready. Sat quickly after that. It seemed a little long until our server came but maybe cause we were hungry. She was very nice and let us know the menu can be found in the QR code. They did have the "premium " menu available to actually have in hand. I dislike when I have to look up menus on my phone. Might just be me but I prefer to read a menu I can hold. They don't serve sides unless you ask like the cucumber and kimchi potato salad. Which usually are already on the table. We ordered and food brought out. We didn't opt for the premium as it's $20 person extra. So that is basically $100 plus tip for 2 people and we were not trying to spend that last night. . Although the choices look yummy. After we cooked our first round of meats we ordered more. Our grill was very burned and smoky and she didn't offer to change it out. We waited for a long time until she came back and asked her to please change it. Waited quite awhile again and a guy came and changed it. I was coughing from the smoke of it. We were in a corner and kinda felt like we were forgotten. It's weird cause the server was super nice just not as attentive as I guess I would have liked. She did give us suggestions and recommended the rice paper over radish paper which the mister liked. They only have macaroons for desert. They were just ok. And to top off they didn't give us the credit card back. We had to go ask for it only to be told are we sure we don't have it. Luckily they found it and the guy did say "sorry". It was juts a weird vibe and not sure if we will be back. Lots of choices out there.

I debated on this review. First, the price is decent. About $29/pp AYCE. They have over 30 items on the menu including gyoza, pork belly, brisket, shrimp, octopus, squid, bulgogi, salad, etc. The food itself was good. Seemed fresh and came quick. Natasha, our server, was excellent. Very attentive to us and our grill. My issue comes with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The bathrooms were a mess. No soap. They laid a soap dispenser that is normally on the wall, onto the counter. So you had to pick up the entire dispenser to try and get soap. The floors in the whole restaurant were dirty. The walls had big chunks out of them.. like they had artwork up and ripped them off the walls. And, the AC was not working well (same goes for the attached mall). The ambiance is really what brought this restaurant down. It's a decent price and has a lot of food items. And the staff was very good that waited on us. But, I couldn't look past these details unfortunately. And, there are a LOT of Korean bbq places here now! I'd probably try out another place next time.

Visiting Santa Claus can work up an appetite. What better place to go than an all you can eat place? The restaurant was clean, bright & had plenty of seating. With five of us in our party, we didn't have to wait at all, but were taken straight to a booth. Our waitress Natasha was wonderful. But, she wasn't alone. The staff here is great! You don't wait for any of your food items. Order your favorite & BANG! Someone brings your dish out to your table. Natasha checked on us often throughout the meal. Then you place the meat on the burner on the table & watch as your meat sizzles & steams, turning from raw meat into a delicious meal. We loved the Beef Bulgogi & asked for it several times, as well as the Gyoza dumplings. The Mrs enjoyed the Crispy Cajun Chicken & everyone dug into the salad. It's nice to have an Asian restaurant so close to home.

I think perhaps in the Korean BBQ world I have been a little spoiled by a couple place I have visited leaving my expectations sky high. This is the 2nd GEN location i have been to, this one is right next to Galleria Mall. To be fair but brief on the parts i thought need improvement, everything from the service to the standard of meat offerings and portions left much more to be desired. I felt the portions were a little too small and there was no notable savor to any of the main things ordered. The other side of the experience that also can be considered is that this is one of the BEST lunch specials in town at $19.99 with almost everything available on the menu for lunch. They had a unique seasoning called "green tea salt" that no one else has. Though the portions are small, the food wasn't BAD or not worth trying like people may interpret my previous paragraph to mean. I simply want to convey the message that I have had more flavorful food. I liked their Sahara ave location and this brand is worth checking out, just may not be at the top of my list.....right now.

Can't go wrong with Korean bbq. The food was great. Except for the fish katsu. Wouldn't recommend that dish. Our service was great. We barely waited for our food to arrive. I swear the turn around time from the time we ordered our food to the time we started eating was less than 5 min. Great service when you're hungry lol. We went during lunch so it was very quiet. Which I like. Sometime dinner can be to loud and crazy. So a nice quiet lunch is always appreciated. Whatever you do you HAVE to have an ice cream macaron! Omg absolutely to die for!

My first time here and not bad. So you gotta work for you meal haha! This may be about the only dining concept where the meat comes to your table RAW! But it's a great first date place as this would force one to relax and get over inhibitions for sure! The service was pretty good, overall entire staff was very helpful! My drink was a little weak but the bottled wine price was great! All you can eat is the way to go do you can try lots of different things then load up on your favorites! The Hawiian Steak was real good, the spicy Pork was my favorite and the spicy octopus too!

It's a little different here, they don't give green salads, and straight into the cooking of meats.

She made things really easy for us - my mom is in a wheelchair, so bringing her to restaurants can be challenging, especially a KBBQ spot, which has big grills in the middle of the table. They had an open 8-person table, but she decided to give us the table so it would be easier for mom even though we were only 2 people and it was a Friday night during dinnertime. We really appreciated that. The food was good as usual! We kicked it off with Bulgogi, but TBH I usually just stick to Brisket, because it's easy to cook and comes out perfect. We love the salads here! Salads at a KBBQ?! Yup, the flavor is so legit. I like to mix the house salad + green onion salad, because it has sprouts in there too. The sweet vinegar flavor with Korean spice is such a good flavor. Instead of eating rice, I just eat brisket with salad. So good! Also, we love the Melona ice cream they give you for dessert! This is much better than the generic bs ice cream that other Korean BBQ spots give you! Also, you can't beat THE VALUE here. The Top KBBQ special starts at only $23.99

We both ordered bibimbap in your old school dolsots. Unfortunately the rice was not crispy on the bottom like you'd get at a classic Korean restaurant. The toppings, while fun to customize, are usually standard when served traditionally. I didn't think the flavor was as good as the real deal served in more traditional restaurants. I got the beef and my husband got the pork. The beef was missing the right flavor. The pork tasted better but I'm not a pork person. Normally bibimbap has spinach but this wasn't listed as an option. Egg is also normally a regular topping, not an extra. When you mixed everything up, it just didn't have the right overall taste I'd get at authentic Korean restaurants. Overall though it wasn't bad. If I were to come back, I'd save my money and not bother with the dolsot option. It did not enhance this meal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 is the fun ambiance. Each table has little games and magazines. While you wait you can play. There's also self serve miso soup and barley tea. Service is not bad. The restaurant is very clean. We were very entertained waiting for food. I wouldn't mind coming back.

I figured it was time for me to check it out and see what the hype was all about, first off the owners were really welcoming and kind, they gave me a bit of history on the place and let me know that the restaurant has been at this location for over 14 years so it's a bit of a stable for people visiting Vegas. Which makes perfect sense now. Unfortunately I was in bit of a rush so I got my order to go. I kept it basic with the Beef Brisket soup which came with a side of rice, kimchi and some dipping sauce. The owner did explain that I would need to season to taste, so once I adding the salt and chili paste as well as the dipping sauce in.... I devoured it. Needless to say I didn't know what to expect my first time trying Korean soup, but it did not disappoint. I'll have to come back, and maybe take advantage of their lunch special during the week.
