I originally hired Martin to trim the trees around the roof, cut down 3 smaller trees and haul away a trailer full of green waste which they did a great job on. During the free estimate I found out they did retaining walls too and they were able to start the next day. It was a lot of hard work, up a slope, in the heat! Thank goodness the yard was mostly shaded it helped a little. Material costs are ridiculous right now but they gave me a good price. The wall is Very sturdy, well built and looks great! I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend him and his crew.

He removed the roots carefully, paid close attention to detail, and surprised us by applying weed killer between the pavers and shrubs. Our family was impressed. For the 2nd visit in March 2026, unfortunately the company did not meet the same standard. We communicated via the same number, so they were aware of that we were interested in the same work as before last year (weed removing, trimming of tree shrub) This time, a different employee (H.H.), performed the work. He trimmed the trees and shrubs a bit more quickly than Francisco did, which was not an issue in itself. However, he didn't remove the overgrown roots, but rather just trimmed them, which caused the plants to grow back much faster than before. He also didn't apply any weed killer. After we paid via Zelle, we noticed that our 24-hr security sign had been snapped in half and left on the same spot it was planted. No shrubs were around that area. The employee didn't mention to us at all, but when we asked him what happened, he initially said he didn't know. Only after we saw pictures showing that the sign was intact, he apologized. Additionally, another blue security sign next to our AT&T fiber box was missing. The sign had been in place for months and was clearly visible from the driveway since the shrubs didn't fully cover it. The worker claimed he never saw it. We understand accidents can happen, but the lack of communication and transparency is unfortunate. We are likely moving on to another company.

We have been living in an apartment in Studio City and our landlord has been doing business with Hunt Heating & Air Conditioning for decades. We have been residing in the same building, same unit for 31 years and had to deal with Hunt's a few times, maybe 5 or 6. The first 2 times, Jason (I believe the owner or manager of this company), came over to take a look into our unit since we were having a minor problem with our AC/Heating. That was few years back. Less than a year ago, our AC stopped working permanently and I had to call them to come and take a look at it to see what the problem was. The unit was so OLD, that it needed to be replaced with a new AC/Heating part/unit. With that being said, they sent someone from the same company to come and replace it. Rick, who works with/for Hunts came down to our place twice in less than a year to see why the AC/Heat wasn't working. He was quick, kind, helpful, pleasant and knows his job well. Time promised was between 1pm to 4pm. He arrived today at my place 1:05pm, listened to my concern and told me he will go check the roof and see if maybe the problem was coming from there. Then he could replace a part and everything should be ok. That is exactly what he did, and the hot air that was coming out of my AC/unit stopped blowing and the AC started working again.The house felt nice and cool. I can't comment on the value/expenses of the work/price, because it is being handled by our landlord. If anyone needs to fix, replace a unit in their building, don't hesitate to contact this company! Walter also did an excellent job protecting the house from debris, by covering the floors from the front door to the rooms being worked on, and in the two rooms worked on - he enclosed completely in plastic. Mateo's crew did all of the demo, electrical, plumbing, drywall, texture coating, tile floor installation, painting, finish plumbing, installation of towel bars, etc. The only trade they did not do the work was the granite installation. They showed up on time and worked very hard every day Monday through Saturday. They cleaned up every day when finished with their work. The quality of work they did was amazing and better then I had ever expected. The price was reasonable. I never felt Mateo or his crew were trying to add unnecessary work. When an unexpected drain pipe leak was found, they took numerous pictures and clearly communicated with me about the necessary repairs and their costs.
