So the reviews here are mixed, but I wanted to share my experiences. 1. The merchandise is not overpriced. You get what you pay for. 2. They do beautiful custom work. Again - you get what you pay for. 3. No pressure staff- and the owner is a very nice person if you take the time to speak to him. His niece and the rest of the family that work there are very nice. Example here is a CUSTOM necklace of ruby, sapphire, peridot and pink tourmaline with a natural citrine center stone. This necklace was over $800 but was custom made and the center stone is a 3-4 carat Citrine. They asked what we were looking for and made a masterpiece that will be passed down for generations to come. read more

Gemstone Gallery - Gemstones & Minerals Near Me - Frenchtown, New Jersey

This shop was very nice! The place is organized, well priced, large inventory, and has a remodeling business aspect of it where they remodel your kitchen with petrified wood or stone. The owner is very attentive to your needs as well read more

Conflicted on how to write this review. I can see how some of these reviews are so poor. The man behind the counter was indeed arrogant. I admired the ceiling and other large pieces and told him I've never seen anything like them and they were exquisite. He assured me I wouldn't find anything like it anywhere. No gratitude, no humility. Simply obnoxious self pride; that said - it is his art and it is unique so, there is a sense of pride that is undjustified. There are signs all over demanding no photographs be taken - this again typical in some art realms. I find irritating as well as limiting on their behalf. If no one shares photos of the work or shop. Many people are less likely to come to buy. Yet still is this is a store - not a gallery. I was not pressured to purchase anything nor did I feel rushed or hawked over. The pricing on the actual crystals are high but ot is in Frenchtown, so it's to be expected. My main concern and I don't have any credentials or experience but I have a sense that these may not be ethically sourced or moreover not genuine. PLEASE UNDERSTAND I am no expert, the sheer volume of crystals was insane. The entire ceiling is made of panels that appear to be sliced geodes. There are panels like this on sale in the store - they are quite heavy and I did feel nervous about their stability. I was counting on the Frenchtown code enforcement to have verified it's sturdiness. All that said I struggle with a review score since the place was one of a kind and well worth a visit. I was truly in awe of the beauty and uniqueness that I experienced there. I could relate to the negative reviews even though my experience there was not entirely the same. Nonetheless it is worth a visit as it is indeed a one of a kind shop. read more

For about 12years i have received beautiful gifts from this gallery, as well as purchased many items for myself and others. The selection is all you can imagine. Yes it may be overwhelming at first, but once you start to look at the different options they have to offer you'll be amazed. I'm very fond of the two that work with the gallery, I always feel very welcomed and appreciated to be in the room. This gallery is wonderful and has a place in my heart and will always be one of my favorites! I highly suggest stopping in to even admire what there is to offer, the prices depend on what you're looking at of course. But you'll always walk out with something at a decent value for what you're receiving. But definitely keep in mind this is real genuine product they offer. Many people don't like the no photography option but it's okay to keep what's inside a mystery to be seen!!! read more

The owners are always so nice to talk to... they go above and beyond to help you find your dream pieces... they have first hand experience obtaining the gemstones themselves... and most importantly they treat you like family. This is the only gemstone shop I will shop at. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

I've never had anything but a great experience in this store. I typically deal with Chelsea? I believe her name is, and she is amazing. The owner, I believe her Uncle? takes pride in his gemstones. He was very nice and actually gave me some healing crystals because i was buying for my son that has brain cancer. I wasn't pressured at all and they even made one of the bracelets larger so that it would fit my sons wrist. I've always had a great experience in this crystal store and I think their prices are reasonable compared to some of the other crystal places I've been. I love the energy in the store. read more

The service is excellent. Wonderful vibes, and some really interesting gems and art. Kelsey is just wonderful. You can find some unique and rare gems/gifts for all! read more

Very rude owner.. Had A sign on the said "because of COVID you can only stay 10 minutes.... Then the owner said the ceiling is made of rock and due to weigh if too many people are in the store it would cause the rock ceiling panels to fall. The sign was posted in a location that customers wouldn't see it. A- there is no covid rule about time in a store B- if the ceiling was that vulnerable it wouldn't of past code And then let just say if it is true that the ceiling could fall why on earth is risking people getting hurt. It was there to point to so he could throw customers out at his own disctetiion read more

As a nearby new resident of Stockton I was really excited to have a crystal shop close by since my work is holistic, and I often find myself giving clients crystals that they need. I walked in on an afternoon during the week where there was no one else in the shop. The older gentleman followed, both myself and my friend around, suggesting things that we weren't interested in and telling us about how his crystals are better than any other crystals because they're authentic. As a person who can purchase wholesale, I don't typically need to shop at retail value, but when I do, I do appreciate that places don't gouge customers. This place was way overpriced but SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY I was turned off by the fact that the man continued to pressure us to purchase things, as well as stood over our shoulders and smelled like a cigarette. We asked to see the large room for the larger pieces and he said he doesn't let anyone in there unless they are going to buy something. How the hell am I supposed to know what I'm going to buy, if I can't go see what I'm interested in? I easily would've spent $5-10k on items in his store that I still see when I drive by that are beautiful, but I can't see giving my hard-earned money to someone who treats people that way. He missed out on a lot of sales from myself and my customers. Not to mention the little gifts (probably another 10k) that my husband would come home with throughout the year. What a disgrace and disappointment. read more

Wide selection of crystals in all shapes sizes, friendly knowledgeable staff, reasonably priced. Love that they include a card with the picture & description of stone as well as healing properties. This is my go to place for crystals! Definitely check them out read more

I would not recommend. The staff is snobby and doesn't know how to treat customers. You'll see 99% of my reviews are positive. My family is always out and about. We are friendly and courteous and expect the same. We didn't not get it here and the merchandise is nothing spectacular so they should be happy to have customers walk in the door. My daughter had something specific in mind that she had wanted and we turned around and walked right out. read more

This is my favorite crystal shop! There are so many to choose from & they are grouped with clear descriptions that you also receive upon checking out. Jewelry is made onsite & the staff is friendly & knowledgeable. I always leave feeling I have just what I need. read more

I've been to this gem store many times and only came to Yelp to check their hours, but seeing all of the negative reviews made me feel compelled to throw my two cents in! The staff in this store have never been anything but kind to me and any person I enter with. The owner clearly takes pride in his shop; he's told me the back story of the shop, points out cool stuff to me (without pressure to buy), and genuinely just seems to enjoy it. The girl behind the counter always compliments my gems I already have on and is super nice. I just don't get the negative reviews about the staff. Perhaps those customers are rude/have something to do with it?? This place has a nice selection, is neatly laid out and labeled, and all the staff seem to know about the gems. I think this place is a bit pricey, but it's an expensive area with no other gem stores, so what can you expect. If you don't like the price, don't buy it! read more

Absolutely the most knowledgeable owner and staff. Even the very young are absolutely incredible. They're all helpful and explain, ask how they can guide you and how can they be of service...all in a very serene way. The environment is immaculate and so well displayed. So many many options... Twice a month for me, if I'm lucky read more

I visited this store one day out with my two kids. We had a great experience. They treated me and my kids GREAT! Even recommended a gem for me (healing properties) and gave my two daughters a free sample. Based on my experience, we are 100% planing on going back. Reviews are so individual and subjective. I did not experience a snobby staff, I experienced nice, friendly, knowledgable people. Their selection is exceptionally good. Store is nicely laid out and merchandised. As far as covid precautions are concerned, we wear our masks in every store, simply to respect the safety of those around us. We had no issues with sanitizing, but we did it because it was available and never were asked. We will be visiting again soon! read more

Very nice staff! Had a good experience every time I walked in. Good prices and very good merchandise. Definitely the best gemstore in the immediate area. Worth the visit! read more

Came from Texas and went through this town. My sister whom is a NP & I walked in and I sanitized our hands, as the sign stated on the door. As we begin to look at the beautiful gemstone, we were approached by a young lady asking if we sanitized our hands, then she asked us are we finding everything ok. Another couple of a different ethnicity came in behind us and I observed them & her. She never approached them nor asked them if they sanitized their hands. I wonder why she asked us African Americans yet not the Caucasian couple. We left.. read more

I despise YELP because it is regularly abused - however, this shop deserves a glowing review for the following reasons - Excellent COVID protocol. They sell well-curated and quality pieces at a good variety of species and sizes. Something for every price point and collection here. My experience in shopping crystals - you don't want someone "selling you" a gem. You let the gem choose you. The shop owner gave me the space to have my own experience, which I appreciate. When I had a question about origin, he was readily available and knows his sources and his gems. This shop is a precious resource. It has no hippy trippy trappings - the energy of the shop is mostly masculine which I think it catches some people by surprise. Take advantage of the wealth of knowledge hidden here - sometimes you have to dig before you are rewarded! ;) read more
