The driver and bar tender were pleasant. I don't think many from the attendees ordered from the bar but the bar tender came around sharing interstate tidbits about what we were seeing. As a side note, there are bathrooms on board.

The boat was spotless, relaxing, and so much fun. One of the highlights was anchoring and swimming off the personalized floating dock built by Captain Tim himself. Captain Tim truly made the entire experience enjoyable and memorable, especially for our grandkids, who were thrilled when he let them take a turn steering the boat. What a nostalgia trip! I went on this boat maybe 35 years ago and remembered it fondly. I still…read moreremember several of the stories and jokes I heard aboard way back then. When my family was embarking on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my own kids to the Jungle Queen. It's a short boat ride that takes you through the canals behind the mansions and quasi-famous homes on the water. Your guide on board will tell you about the homes and landmarks you pass en route. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. We really enjoyed our trip, but I'm deducting one star due to the boat traffic (which I know they cannot really help). Maneuvering around all the other drunks in their watercraft was kind of a drag.

Some different friends who also Disc Golf had said it was one of the best courses around so I finally felt the urge to make it up there. The open a little early which is nice too. Entering the park is impressive in itself. There are so mnay things going on from a large lake spanning waterpark, wildlife all over, a BMX park that's a good size, and of course, the disc course. The things some had said that was obvious immediately, is that the place had far more rolling hills than any park or place in South Florida. I started off at the top of a hill and had to through down to the bottom of the hill. There were shots later where I had to throw over a pond and up a hill. From the elevation changes to the great forest and water holes, it really was worth the drive. Heck, I've been back 2 more times this month already.

During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

They rent bikes, too. It was the perfect destination for us. Plenty of paved trails throughout the park -- and convenient bike rentals onsite. We had a terrific 14-mile ride all over the park. Staff was great, bikes were good (1-speed, but hey, Florida is flat), and the scenery was nice. All in all a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon if you're looking for a little vacation exercise.
