This is a wonderful ice cream shop in the shadow of a very large cathedral. It's a 98 step climb to the cathedral front door.
It's not designed for sit in but it's pleasant once inside. They had dozens of delicious flavours to choose from at €1.9 a generous scoop into a cone (my preference) or a paper tub.
I opted for tiramisu and a carmel. Really flavoursome, fair portion and the cone was real crisp. They had a few vegan options too which was impressive.
They take credit cards and real money and, if the latter, you feed a machine once inside that gives you a ticket for your ice cream at €1.9, €3.8 etc.
The machine gives out change. They have a toilet too.
We hadn't noticed that there was a queue system outside where patient folk took a numbered ticket and entered when their number flashed up on a screen.
As we hadn't noticed the system and being foreigners four of us just ambled in, perhaps that explains why our welcome within wasn't uber friendly. Ah well first world problems. read more
