The workers operated a saw indoors in January while the HVAC system was running and left the doors open which caused the HVAC to constantly be running. This caused damage which led to the HVAC system having to be replaced. There were also numerous deficiencies in the construction work, including Improper installation of siding, including damage of the sheathing The flooring was damaged and has visible gaps and scratches The walls were not properly prepped before painting The windows were not installed in the proper locations Interior doors and closet doors do not close properly Additional damage to furniture and property It was agreed the work would not continue. H&Y Contracting sent an invoice for the work which they overcharged in order to keep most of the deposit.

C&M does not get credit what we've achieved Our experience with this contractor was completely unacceptable THEY ARE NOT CUSTOM BUILDERS we pacifically asked for reinforced concrete for a car lift in the garage, which was on the blueprints. two months later they brought up that they FORGOT to add it. The project began with a signed contract that specified a monolithic poured foundation, yet somewhere along the way that was changed to a block foundation without our consent . A change of that magnitude should never happen without clear communication, written approval, and full transparency. Instead, the work no longer matched the agreement I originally signed, and no proper explanation or accountability was provided. Once the contract was signed, it was like a completely different ball game. Communication deteriorated significantly, follow-through became inconsistent, and getting straight answers became increasingly difficult. It quickly felt like the level of attention and professionalism that existed prior to signing simply disappeared. There is no professional designer involved. They add whatever is cheapest on their end. The construction manager is very unprofessional and if anything comes up he throws an attitude and will not correct whatever got addressed. Once that last draw was made they deny any responsibility in fixing anything still not fully resolved. The most frustrating part was that the two owners were essentially nonexistent throughout the process. Attempts to get clarity or escalation were met with silence or were passed off, leaving no real leadership or accountability when issues arose. Calls, texts, and emails often went unanswered, and important decisions appeared to be made without proper communication or client involvement. A contract is a binding agreement, not a suggestion. When major aspects of a project are changed without proper authorization and communication breaks down entirely, it raises serious concerns about integrity, reliability, and respect for the customer. What should have been a straightforward construction project turned into a stressful and frustrating experience filled with uncertainty and lack of trust. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering this contractor to demand everything in writing, verify all changes, and ensure there is clear accountability before proceeding. It's been the worse experience of building our dream home but unfortunately we wanted the land that came with it. C&M is NOT what it was built from years ago. New owners(that have absolutely no construction skills ) took over and ruined everything Stonecipher had worked for. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME Company anymore. Carlos and Victor remodeled my entire bathroom, removing and reinstalling new tile, a vanity, mirror, light fixture, toilet and other bathroom accessories in addition to spackling and painting. From start to finish, Carlos demonstrated an extreme attention to detail and a genuine commitment to making sure everything was done properly. He does not cut corners, and he takes the time to do things the right way even when it requires extra effort. For example, he noticed that my bathroom floor was not properly leveled, something that could have easily been overlooked or simply worked around. Instead, he took the time to correct the problem and make sure everything was properly leveled before continuing with the project. He even painted door trim outside of my bathroom to make sure it transitioned well with the bathroom, something that was not his responsibility. That level of care and thoroughness is exactly what you hope for in a contractor. The spackling and painting were absolutely immaculate. I have hired professional painters in the past who did not come close to the quality of the paint job Carlos delivered. Painting is 90% prep work: sanding and spackling. You can tell when a contractor understands the difference prep work makes, and Carlos and his group certainly does. Carlos and his crew were also kind, respectful, professional, and a pleasure to have working in my home. They were extremely conscientious about keeping everything clean throughout the project. In fact, I commented to my husband that my house looked cleaner after they left than it did before they started! Another thing that really stood out to me was the pricing.
