There's nothing more magical than having a massive urge to pee, stumbling across a random coffee shop, ordering some coffee to use the loo, and realizing it's one of the luckiest finds you'll ever have. There's something quite distinct about this coffee shop that made me come back twice in the same day.
Upon walking in, it looks like a regular coffee shop with a hipster vibe and quality coffee selection. Downstairs, however, you'll discover an almost deathly-quiet little oasis known as 'The Laptop Room.' Or, 'workspace,' I can't remember which. It's a room filled with large tables - always occupied by people working on their laptops - and dimly lit interior. It bleeds comfort and provides the perfect ambiance for maximum focus and concentration. Monday though Friday, the space closes at 4:30, on the weekends it closes at 5:30. I was surprised to see it quite full on a Sunday afternoon.
As for the coffee itself, it's up there with some of the best I've ever had. As mentioned, I loved my flat white so much, I went back for the affogato, both of which were done to perfection. Matcha and chai are also available, and I doubt they disappoint, either. Pastry and savory snack selection is a bit minimal, but tasty, nonetheless.
Overall, I'd say it's worth a bit of travel to come to this place once in a while. Especially since it's so close to Brick Lane and all the shops you'll want to visit with coffee in hand. read more
