First, their front desk staff are rude and overzealous. If you are ill, you can be expected to wait 2 months for the next available appointment or go to an urgent care, when your physician might have squeezed you in. The scheduling only seems to allow for well-patient visits. This may be because UH requires that each visit last only for 15 minutes, putting pressure on physicians to be caring, accurate, and able to diagnose and treat every single thing in 15 minutes. This is not the fault of the practitioners, but rather the system. And is reflected in UH's low abysmal ratings. But really, the front desk staff is reliably awful at this location.

Almost like a fancy resort! The pros of this facility: Good food, good drink, excellent nursing staff that actually go the extra mile for their patients. Very clean throughout the entire facility. Everything was very accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and loading and unloading by the front door. The receptionists at the front desk were always warm and welcoming. Great physical therapy program, but they are tough on you. But, they have to be! Also no worries about people stealing your possessions in this facility. She's been to other facilities where they will steal anything if it's not bolted down! Cons: The only con was the varying wake up time between 4:30 - 5:30 a.m. in order to be up and ready for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Even if you need assistance getting ready, the hurry up and wait is pretty ridiculous! It's understandable that the staff have a schedule to go by, but c'mon now! Other than that, my Mom says she was treated like a VIP there! Thanks for taking such great care of my Mom, guys! Especially bottom of pants. Dirty shoes. Not a good look for a doctor's office. This was especially the case at the old building across from Lakewest hospital. I think the new space in the old Kaiser at 91 near Euclid Ave has shown much improvement. Office cleaner too. Communications not always the best. When they moved they never told me. I have had both aquatic and regular (land) therapy. I use the pool for exercise. The warm water pool has benefits that regular swimming pools do not have. The pool equipment is provided and enhances the water exercises. I have also worked with a therapist in the exercises room in a program designed for me. LAC is my go-to fitness place. Don't know what I would do without it.

Every therapist that I have worked with has been competent and caring and I can recommend them highly. The pool is the real gem in the facility. It is kept at a comfortable temperature and has various depths to accommodate all manner of exercise and therapy. The management of the facility has done an excellent job of accommodating individual and supervised therapy in these days of social distancing.

I have been with Dr. Boes for nearly 21 years and came upon her by accident when I was admitted to the ER in 2001 with an ovarian cyst. Best accident I have ever had because she has been a blessing for the last 20 years. The most caring and compassionate doctor I have ever met. Even when I moved out of state for 7 years, I kept her as my ob/gyn and traveled to visit with her.
