It was my understanding, as I shared with Steve on the phone, that my tires needed to be pulled to complete a State inspection and because I specifically asked Steve at inspection time to check my brakes...that I thought I needed front brakes. According to Steve, he can see the brakes through the wheel and no need to pull the tires. My confusion as I don't see how you can measure the depth of a brake pad, but he insisted he doesn't pull tires for inspection, and as I am now learning, to even check my brakes. Very concerning as I have over 96,000 miles on my car and never had brakes done. According to PennDot, it is required by law that a licensed inspection station needs to pull tires, one from each axle, in order to complete an inspection. And, according to Honda, he could not have completed a brake inspection without pulling the tires. Very concerning...and now I need to buy new wheel locks as mine are missing. How safe is my car? How bad are the brakes really?

Turned out that it was primed wrong by the mechanic who performed my work. A week after the service I noticed a diesel leak on my driveway and found it coming from the rear fuel filter housing. Went back to OSSCO and they said it's probably a cracked fuel filter housing and quoted me over $500 to repair the issue that wasn't there before me taking the truck there for service. The reason for the crack they gave me was wear and tear. By the way an oem fuel filter housing online costs 89.99 from ford. I will never let OSSCO touch any truck I own or anyone I know that owns any type of vehicle. They wanted me to pay for their mistake and the poor work their mechanic performed that I will not name. I have heard horror stories about Ossco but didn't believe any of them until it happened to me. Stay away

I had already scheduled an appointment elsewhere and called my auto insurance provider to have the vehicle towed to that shop. Mark, the owner of Challenger Towing arrived and saw the car wouldn't go into gear. He was fine towing it to the other shop, but said it as most likely the transmission. He mentioned that many newer cars have CVT transmissions and they don't provide as much warning compared to older cars. He took the car to his shop and verified it was the transmission. I'd once said that I'd never pay for a new transmission, but we had just paid the car off two months prior. I had no desire to take on another car payment so quickly. I got the extended warranty on the transmission. I know also know about CVT transmissions and didn't before. When it's time for a new car, I plan to ask if it has a CVT transmission because they tend to only last for 100,000 miles according to my online research. Our Rogue was just under 89,000 miles when the transmission went out. You can trust Challenger Towing - good people, great service.
