Us being regulars and it being a small business, we were disappointed to notice we never got any sales, freebies, or discounts with the amount of money we were spending here (and I mean THOUSANDS every other week!) While this place was an era for us, we've found better stores in the Sarasota area that are way more friendly, knowledgeable, and love their regulars. Nice small shop, not a lot of inventory but I managed to find a piece of rolling stock. Has a shelf layout on one of the walls. It was not operating but owner said I could run trains if I wanted to. My wife was waiting in the car so I kindly responded I better not start. The owner was very friendly and said they really catered to the kids. That's very comforting because I fear the hobby is dying with us old guys. I always enjoy looking at other layouts as you can get great ideas. Like I have a 9ft area the I need to look like a retaining wall, guess what, the had one, not 9ft but a long one. Best part they sold material I can use to build it. At one time they had a ton of kits and you could go there every other week and there would be new ones . Now, all they seem to have left are the 80 dollar plus kits ( which are rather old looking ) or different variations of the same model
