In preparing for our trip to Las Vegas last December, I looked at several tour companies to Antelope Canyon. It was a good decision going with GC Tours. It was a good trip. The cost is known up front. A few of the other tours do not include the fee charged by the Navajo. Booking was simple on the website. I actually wanted another date that wasn't available. I emailed GC, and received a quick reply as to potential date changes. From Las Vegas to Antelope Canyon, it's an early call. We had to be ready by 6:30am. Our tour guide kept us informed about what we were doing, -- going to the other hotels for the pickups and how many more stops before we actually get on the road. He gave us information about the area as we were driving out of town. He seemed to know the right amount of talking to do on the trip. Since it was early, some wanted to do a little napping. Our tour guide was very conscientious to make sure we made our appointment to the Navajo tour. He said if we were late, our tickets would be sold to walkups. Going to and from, there were enough bathroom stops and our tour guide made sure to tell us how many hours it would be before our next bathroom break. I felt the driving was safe and responsible but not meek. He had to pass cars or else we probably wouldn't get back until the next day. When he passed, it wasn't reckless. It is a long drive, and it was great leaving the driving to GC Tours. We didn't return to Las Vegas until about 9:00pm. The only disappointment was that GC was very busy and they had to use a rental van so there weren't the captain's chair seats in the van. It was a great tour. Antelope Canyon is beautiful. read more

I am so happy that I came across GC Tours while researching tour companies for Antelope Canyon around the Las Vegas area. I found GC Tours with great reviews and decided to give them a try and had such a wonderful day trip from Vegas. When you book online, they take a $20 down payment and the rest you will pay when they pick you up. So I booked my adventure on 2/23/19. Pick up was at 6:20am from our hotel at Luxor. We arrived right on time with a white van fitting 8 people (including driver). Eli was our driver and guide for the day and he was amazing from the very morning until he dropped us off at 830pm. We paid the rest of the trip via credit card with Eli. He picked up another set of 3 people and another couple (7 total) and we were off to Utah. Eli had a great personality and great voice. As he drove us out of Vegas, he gave us a history of Las Vegas and a brief history of all the hotels or mega resorts as we passed by them. Eli is all about safety. He promised we will get back safely and never did I feel we were rushed even though he had a schedule to stick to. After a 2 hour drive, We made a pit stop at Mcdonald's for breakfast at Hurricane, Utah. We got to use the restroom and stretch our legs. He told us we will get to Antelope Canyon by 1230pm since our tour is set for 1245pm. We were a little bit ahead of schedule so Eli asked what we wanted for lunch (GC Tour covered lunch) and when nobody responded Eli said he chose for us "McDonalds" again. LOL- then he said just kidding. We ordered sandwiches and salads at Subway. On the way, he let us know that Antelope Canyon was on Navajo Indian Reservation. We arrived on time at Antelope Canyon. We had a wonderful tour guide named Betty Marie. She met us at the front and took us on an open air truck about a mile or so out to the Canyon. FYI- Feb at Antelope Canyon is COLD. There was snow outside the canyon and on the floor all around. Temperature during the day was low 30's. The canyon was beautiful, massive, stunning and a work on nature. I learned alot from Betty Marie from how the canyon was formed via flash floods thousands of years ago to how dangerous flash floods actually are. Flash floods still happen during monsoon season. Betty took TONS of photos of everyone as well as photos of inside the canyon. For the whole 1.5 hour tour, she was informative, attentive and kept the tour going. Feb is also a good time to go visit Antelope Canyon despite the cold due to the lack of tourists. We had the canyon to ourselves most of the time. Our next stop was Horseshoe Bend. We had 1.5 hours there so hubby and I hiked pretty far out and up to get a good view. Make sure you wear your walking shoes for this one! There is a slight hike out and back. We ate our sandwiches on a large rock on top of Horseshoe Bend..with that kind of view, it makes you appreciate life so much! We hiked back to the bus around 4pm. We were given an opportunity to walk across the Glen Canyon Dam and Eli waited for us at the other end. Walked across and took photos. Our last stop before we were dropped off was McDonald's at Hurricane again. This tour was worth every penny as my hubby and I were going to drive this ourselves. But, it was so enjoyable from the scenic routes, unlimited water, comfortable leather seats, lots of leg room. After sitting for so long, I was not particularly tired. Shout out to Eli & GC Tours Team for making the tour wonderful! Would highly recommend! Next year, I am planning to do the Zion & Bryce Canyon National Park with GC Tours again! read more

1 star: for booking and reservation 5 stars: for the tour The Booking/Reservation Booking was a pain! The story was a friend​ of mine wanted to pay for the tour as a gift. She will not be joining the tour but would like to pay for them. So they do not provide that, the people who pay for the ticket must be joining the tour. I think this is not necessary. What if somebody abroad and they had a friend willing to book for them and is easier because they have US credit cards, so they won't be charged for an ​international fee? The person who handled the matter was also not friendly from written and verbally, which I​ found not acceptable at all! The Tour We booked the "Grand Canyon South Rim VIP Private Tour" it was $134 per person. Our tour guide was Glen and he was friendly, energetic and knowledgeable! The tour was private, it was a family trip for us so the bus was fully occupied with our family. There were 6 of us. They picked us up at the hotel and drinking​ water was given and unlimited. The driving was long but we enjoyed every second of it. Glen was really helpful in taking photos and he's willing to go above and beyond for you! I got no complain for Glen and I would definitely recommend him if you're going to go with the private tour. We left Vegas at 7:00am and got back to Vegas by 8:00pm. Dislikes/Concern I had no complaints​ with Glen! He's superb! so tip nicely if you get him! What I​ like is that inside the bus, there were no tips rules written. But the company, the reservation people or who handle my issues they need to be more friendly and understand why certain people are doing that kind of reservation. GC Tours offers affordable excursions to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Antelope Canyon & even helicopter tours of Las Vegas & Grand Canyon. Since I'd already been to the Grand Canyon (with another tour company) in the past I chose the Bryce Canyon/Zion National Park tour. It costs $165. You have to pay just $10 down as a deposit & they take the rest out of your card on the day of your tour. I made my reservation two weeks in advance. Even though I didn't see any Groupon discounts for GC Tours, I noticed their prices are still cheaper than the other tour companies that did offer Groupon discounts. I was picked up at around 6:35am in front of the hotel I was staying in (The Jockey Club). They win points with me for this because many other tour companies would've told me to wait outside the nearby Cosmopolitan Hotel instead. As a previous poster noted, we rode in a regular blue van instead of a shuttle bus. The driver did say they're in the process of discontinuing the use of the van we rode in that day. It was still comfortable enough though. Our group consisted of five people, including the tour guide/driver. The list of characters (besides myself): - A nerdy, bespectacled woman who was originally from India but now lives in New York City. She was shy but had a flair for living on the edge - literally. Every time we were on a high cliff, she'd find the most unstable looking rock on the edge of it and say, "I wonder if I can stand on that" & she'd do it too if no one stopped her. The strange thing about her though is that we once walked up a very steep hill, she looked back and was scared to walk back down. She was nerdy but nice. - An Asian couple from California (a fit, wiry guy and his sultry Wonder Woman-ish girlfriend). You could tell they were in love because they couldn't stop touching or flirting with each other. - Our tour guide/driver Brian, a stocky 40-ish white man. He had moments of brilliance as a guide but he kind of deviated from the script & added places for us to see that weren't part of the agenda. Early on, it made the trip more fun but it caused us to get back to Vegas a few hours later than expected. He also brought his drone along & flew it even though there're rules prohibiting flying drones in some of the spots we went. But he had a wealth of knowledge about our tour. We went to Jack in the Box in Mesquite, NV for breakfast. For lunch, we were supposed to go to a Subway in Utah but instead went to a buffet at a place called Cowboy's Buffet & Steakhouse, near Bryce Canyon. On the way back home we stopped at a location that had a couple of fast food restaurants & Brian let us choose where we wanted to eat. The tour only pays for lunch though. I was amazed at how naturally beautiful Utah is. It has desert areas but there is way more vegetation than in Vegas. We rode through a gorge that cuts through mountains & goes over the titillatingly named Virgin River. As we passed through one of the small towns we saw a huge Mormon cathedral that sparkled like a jewel. A couple of the towns we rode through were Cedar City, UT & Parowan, UT. We saw prairie dogs & Joshua trees as the landscape changed from mountainous Nevada desert to mountainous but greener Utah. One of the places we went that was not on the itinerary was Brian Head Peak (no, it's not named after our tour guide). It has an elevation of over 11,000 ft & you get near the top of it by driving. The temp at the top was about 57 degrees (a lot more soothing than the temps in Vegas). Brian took photos of us with our cameras there (as he did throughout the tour). Bryce Canyon was the main reason I chose to go on this tour & it didn't disappoint. It's not as big & deep as the Grand Canyon but it does cover an area of over 50 miles & has an elevation of over 7,600 ft. Also, the hoodoo rock formations give it a unique look. Zion Nat'l Park was just as astonishing. We saw bighorn sheep, rode through a tunnel that goes 1.1 miles through a mountain, saw beehive rock formations & did more hiking. Brian was like a taskmaster with the hiking & I wished I'd gotten more rest in Vegas the night before. The temps in Bryce & Zion were comfortably in the 80s. If there's a mild complaint, it'd have to be that we didn't return to Vegas until around 11:30pm and because of traffic Brian put me and the Indian woman out in a place that required us to walk some to get back to our hotels. Even though it was close, we were unfamiliar with where we were. Another reason we got back late is because Brian took us to a remote bridge at night in Utah to see shooting stars. We know he was just trying to show us a good time but after all the hiking we were tired & ready to go. I want to stress that despite the very mild complaints, Brian is an excellent tour guide. Just make sure you don't do too much Vegas stuff the night before though. I highly recommend this tour. 4 stars! read more

My family and I did the VIP van tour to the Grand Canyon, South Rim. I want to start off by saying the itinerary and photo stops and lunch place was great. We had such a great time seeing the Hoover dam and Grand Canyon. We had about 3 hours at the canyon. Now, the only gripe I do have about the tour is our driver. He was not personable and made us feel very hesitant to ask questions because he always had a smart remark every time someone asked something. We weren't the only ones in our group complaining. The rest of the group felt the same way. I would definitely recommend this company again and would love to take it again next time I'm in Vegas but would request a different driver. read more

Prior to booking with GC Tours, I was doing extensive research on which tour company to go with for the Grand Canyon. This would be me and my boyfriend's first time visiting from Las Vegas and I wanted to make sure everything was to our liking since I was going to be paying good $$$. I did my fair share of checking deals/prices and reading a variety of reviews. Debated on the pros and cons of all the companies and finally decided that GC Tours had the best deal for what they stated on their website - from viewpoints to what the tour included and etc. Honestly, 3 and 1/2 stars would be the perfect rating I would give, but yelp does not allow half stars so...this 3 star review is for the Grand Canyon South Rim VIP Express based on my personal experience. We were picked up at the scheduled time of 6:50-7am by our tour guide Joyce. Since this was a VIP tour, there was only a small group of us (5 total) which I liked a lot. The vehicle had sufficient legroom and alright seats, plus unlimited water. There was also charging ports available inside. We started off the tour really well. Photo stop at the Las Vegas sign, then breakfast stop in Boulder City where there was a Starbucks yay! After that, headed to Hoover Dam and then a bathroom stop in Kingman, AZ. Lunch later was surprisingly good or maybe it was because we were all super hungry. I remember getting a chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend had a ham sandwich. The others with us got similar things such as a chicken wrap and a pulled pork sandwich. The food was ordered beforehand and was picked up in Seligman, AZ - where there was Route 66 photo opportunities. Joyce was really knowledgeable and kept us entertained with stories throughout the drive. We basically followed the itinerary listed on the website to the dot up until the point when we arrived at the Grand Canyon at around 1-ish and were given time to explore on our own. That's when things went downhill. I guess me and my boyfriend, and even the other 3 people we were on the tour with...should have paid more attention to what Joyce was saying about our meeting place. She gave us all maps and mentioned places of interest to go see/visit such as Verkamp's Visitor Center and Bright Angel Lodge. Maybe it was due to miscommunication but the 5 of us ended up losing our tour guide for about an hour and a half? We were supposed to meet up with Joyce at around 4, but we all kept waiting and there was no sign of her. What made it really hard was that half of us had no reception to call out so we couldn't separate too much to split up and go looking. To make matters worse, we also had no way of contacting Joyce. It wasn't till it got really late at around 5:30 and windy/cold, that I got mad at myself for not confirming with Joyce the place we were supposed to meet at or even get Joyce's contact number just in case. My boyfriend ended up looking for the tour confirmation email on his phone for the company's contact info and he called them asking if they could help us. It was the only thing we could do. At this point, I felt like not wanting to continue with sightseeing and just hope that Joyce would find us soon so we can all head back to Vegas because we were really behind on schedule. My boyfriend managed to contact someone named Brian from GC Tours and while they talked about our problems - Brian wasn't much help. I mean, he tried to assist us, but he stated he had no way of actually contacting Joyce himself. He would have to contact someone else whom would have contact with Joyce because they were scheduled tour guides that day. It all seemed very hopeless. Brian did try really hard to help though. He sent us maps and locations of where their tour guides usually met up and it all pointed to an area where we were already at - which was Bright Angel Lodge. Some of us ended up waiting at Bright Angel Lodge, my boyfriend ended up walking further out to Kolb Studio and walked back. Another person went walking back to the Visitor Center, but we just couldn't find our tour guide Joyce. Then, my cell rang with an unknown number and I answered...hoping it was who I desperately wanted it to be - and it was. Joyce. She sounded calm and asked where I was and I told her, I, along with the rest of the group was at Bright Angel Lodge and then she said something about being worried and that she was at El Tovar. I repeated El Tovar to the rest of the group and they looked confused. We have never heard her mention that place to meet at. Joyce then said to stay there and that she's coming. Long story short - don't think I'll ever take another tour to the Grand Canyon. We ended up sightseeing some more and I have to applaud Joyce for finishing the tour up quickly and getting us back at around 9:30-10ish. Don't let my review stop you from booking. GC Tours did their job....I guess me and my tour group ended up being the unlucky ones who lost their tour guide and had to pay for it. read more

My family and I went on the GC Tours Grand Canyon West Rim tour with a stop over at the Hoover Dam during our stay in Las Vegas. The online reservation process was easy and convenient and our whole day tour that cost $99 per person included the following: (1) Pick up at your Hotel The bus was right on time and picked us up at 7:00 am at the Mandalay Resort. We made 3 subsequent hotel stops to pick up other passengers and then we transferred to another bus because there seemed to be a problem with our original bus.....no big thing. (2) Hoover Dam Stop On our way to Hoover Dam, the bus driver gave us a narration of what we were going to see during our tour. Our stop at the Dam was interesting...took a few pics then on the bus again to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. (3) Drive to the Grand Canyon - West Rim: Very comfortable until you get to the last 9 unpaved miles prior to the West Rim. OMG, the bus was rocking and rolling like it was a 9.0 earthquake. Just horrible! (4) Grand Canyon West Rim: The bus drops everyone off at the West Rim for about 2 1/2 hours and the passengers catch shuttle buses that take you to two viewing areas (Eagles Point and Guano Point). * Eagles Point - The Skywalk which cost $30 per person is located at Eagles point and you cannot take your camera or anything with you....everything must be stored in a locker. We passed on the Skywalk experience. The driver told us to time our visit at Eagle Point because Guano Point has much better views of the canyon. We roamed around Eagle's Point and took plenty of pictures.....very beautiful and just awesome. * Guano Point - We boarded a shuttle bus for Guano Point, the second viewing area where we had lunch that was included in our tour price. Lunch consisted of a choice of chicken or pulled bbq beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, hard roll, coleslaw, brownie, and bottled water. The best part of our tour was eating on a picnic table under a covered area right IN FRONT of the grand canyon. It was just breathtaking..... I could have stayed there all day, especially since it was 100 degrees. After lunch, we walked and hiked around the area and took so many pictures.....amazing! (5) Return Drive from Grand Canyon West Rim to Las Vegas: We were pretty tired by the time we boarded the bus for the ride back to Vegas. After that bumpy 9 mile ride, we all took a lil nap. The bus driver made a quick stop at a lil dive so that the passengers could use the restrooms and get refreshments. We were dropped off at the Mandalay Bay Resort around 6:00 pm. I originally wanted to go on a Grand Canyon South Rim walking tour with another company, but hubby reminded me that it would be too hot to take a 3 mile walking tour in 100 degrees weather. So, we selected GC tours which was well worth the $99 per person price tag. I would categorize the tour as "budget" but I saw so much for the price of the tour.... and I would have spent more than $100 if I stayed in a Vegas casino for the entire day. If you have limited time to see the Grand Canyon, I would recommend GC Tours...just be warned of the last 9 unpaved miles to the West Rim. If the weather wasn't so hot, I would suggest taking a walking tour. 3 Stars! read more

I was so glad I found this trustworthy company. Late post but definitely wanted to write a review! I was booked with another company prior to booking with GC Tours. The tour prices were the same amongst the two companies however, I could not trust the first company after finding out that they charged me 3 times the amount of what I should've been charged. Long story short, I called the company re: overcharges but just told me that he'll let the bookkeeper know. I couldn't trust the guy who answered the phone so I wrote an email as well. I had to quickly find another company to book the tour with and that is when I found GC Tours on Yelp. Having gone through an upsetting experience with the first company, I wasn't even sure if I should book a tour anymore however, decided to give it a whirl after reading great reviews. The booking and confirmation was very straightforward and was very clear. I was only charged a mere $20 deposit to secure space on the tour. The remaining balance was charged on the day of the tour. This gave me a sense of assurance because the transaction occurred in real time. On the actual day of the tour, the driver was 5 min late so I called only to find the van just turning into our hotel. Brian answered the phone in 2 rings. Our tour guide Glenn was very pleasant from start to finish and looked like he enjoyed his job. You cannot go wrong with this tour company. I was very pleased. Should I ever want to book a tour in Las Vegas, I will go directly to GC Tours without a doubt! read more

The website said the tour was for ages 13 and older. What happens as soon as I sit down? Five screaming kids, all under 8, who proceed to talk over the tour guide, who spend every second they can yelling "are we there yet?!" and "is that the Grand Canyon?!?". I booked this tour as a gift to myself, but it was completely ruined. One star in honor of the poor tour guide who finally snapped at the woman and told the kids to shut up. Major respect, dude. Our tour was a blessing in large part to our tour guide, Warner. Having to spend 4+ hours in a comfortable van; Warner supplied unlimited water bottles, cool music relatable to our generation of the past 10 -50 or 60 years and, continual communication about needs or bathroom breaks making everyone feel very comfortable. Respect, humility and most of all, positive fun attitude and cool and interesting facts or cool "fyi or tid-bits" from Warner made this 1-day adventure a recommended experience seeing 3 parts of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Warner was very knowledgeable about Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, the Historic Route 66, and the Grand Canyon. Warner even knows some stories about the orgins of Joshua trees. GC tours VIP Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon South Rim Tour. While I can't attest to any of the other tours they provide, I have to say this was the best tour I've been on. Everything about it was great The tour guide was a guy named Charlie. Great guy. One of those guys who makes you feel totally comfortable and want to talk; and I say this as a super introverted, quiet person. When he wasn't telling us about where we were currently and the history behind it, most of the ride he spent spent talking to the passengers. I rode shotgun, and was the only solo passenger so we had great conversation (when I wasn't sleeping lol). Fun fact, If you're an avid fisher, you two will have tons to talk about lol. The ride up was very comfortable we made about 3 stops for bathroom breaks and food. This was in addition to the main stops. Our first stop was the Hoover Damn. Of course we really didn't have time to walk through, but we stopped at a viewing spot above it and I got some great shots. Charlie even offered to take pictures for us is needed. On the our way to the Hoover Damn, and as we departed he told us about the history behind it and Boulder City; Really interesting stuff. Our next stop was Route 66. We saw the cars they modeled the cars from the Movie Cars after there (if that makes any sense lol). The big hippie Van was there, and the owners let you sign it. No one on the tour had a marker though. You know who did have a marker? Charlie! He saved the day with a marker and free lunch (we made lunch orders before we got there, the salads are awesome) lol. On to the long haul. Our last stop was the Grand Canyon. We stopped first at a little gift shop/ranger stop for about an hour. What a view it was. We then went to a number spots little known to tourists. If you want a great photo, ask Charlie to take a picture of you! He had the coolest ideas and took some memorable photos! I wish i knew how to upload a few. If I figure it out, i'll update lol. On the way back there were about the same number of stops. The last couple hours me and Charlie talked about pretty much everything. I'm pretty sure I could've given a tour about Vegas the day after with all the things he told me lol. All in all it was a great experience. We left around 6:30 and got back around 8:30 I'll always recommend GC tours to anyone and everyone from now on. Especially the VIP small tours. read more

The West Rim bus tour was amazing, we had Robert as our driver and guide and he was truly outstanding. I booked thru the GC tours site but seems to all be with the company Sweet Tours, the booking process was easy and there was lots of communication from the company about pick up times and location. The tour included a breakfast (banana, muffin, granola bar and OJ) which was just perfect, pick up was within 5 mins of the scheduled time. Robert gave us lots of history about Vegas, explained what we were seeing and the history behind it. We drove thru Hoover Dam, made a few stops (including at a deli if you wanted to pick up food if you did not add on the lunch), and then headed to Grand Canyon. We did not do the skywalk, the views while still amazing just didn't seem to be a lot and you can not take photos on the skywalk you have to pay for the photographer, we headed first to Guano point which had the best views! We had plenty of time to explore and made it back to the strip by 430. Everyone on the bus was very nice and respected everyone's time and kept masks on expect while eating or drinking, but if you are worried about covid or not vaccinated I would not recommend, you will be on a bus that is 80% full for 6 or so total hours. read more

No show: A very disappointing experience. After a long month, I looked forward to visiting the West Rim of the GC. Purchased a ticket for a 6:25 am pick up from the Palazzo/Venetian Hotel on 9/1 but GC Tours was a no show. Made it to the pick up spot with 20 mins before the pick up and no one showed up. Called at least 6 times and emailed 3 additional times. I find it discomforting to know that GC did not call to either inform me of when they would pick up or to notify me otherwise. Other companies as PinkJeep, Maverick, etc placed courtesy calls to their customers and provided one-on-one interaction while on groundVery disappointing experience. Per the Owner's Response: #1Your claims that I, as the customer, did not call are in correct. I will be delighted to provide both my call log and emails sent to your company during the period of No Show. #2 I have a recorded VoiceMail from your employee (Linda) who states in clear terms that it is GC's fault, as they did not pass my name along to Sweet Tours who were picking up on your company's behalf. I thought her statement that your company made a mistake and would give me $10 off my next booking was highly insulting. #3 Yes, I contacted and went with another tour company (Maverick -South Rim Explorer Package) who proved to be very courteous, clean, and respectful to I and fellow tourists. We happened to meet the owner (Brian) who was driving for another group. We lunched together. Brian is a good photographer and knows how to take good photos of the scenes. We booked the Bryce Canyon and Zion VIP tour. Communication was pretty good through out the booking process and leading up to the tour. Any questions I had, including opening up a new tour slot for a day that was either fully booked or not available was done through the website through their chat function. Our tour had two other people, so a total of 4 people, 5 including our guide. He seemed to really enjoy the outdoors and had a lot of information regarding all of the locations we visited as well as all the areas in between the spots we stopped at. From what I understand, our vehicle was not the usual vehicle used for the tours, as it was an older Chrysler minivan. While it was comfortable for the first few hours, after lunch, I would have appreciated the larger vehicle that is usual for the tours and the added leg room. There was plenty of cold water available for us through out the day and enough bathroom breaks and stops to stretch our legs. I don't think we hit all of the places mentioned in the tour listing, however I think we might have hit a few that might not have been on there as well. Pick up was on time as well. Short of preferring the bigger van that is usual for this tour (our guide pointed out what is usual while we were driving), I would definitely recommend this tour if you are short on time and want to see a lot of places in one day. It makes for a really long day, but you definitely get to see a lot. read more

We booked the South Rim VIP tour for 28th of January. The confirmation email informed as that the pickup will be at 07:10 am. At the day of the tour I got a phone call at 06:08 am from the van driver asking me to meet him at 06:30 as we are the first people to pickup and the booking agent doesn't know how to schedule the pickups. I told him that is not possible on such short notice and we will expect him at 07:10 as scheduled. He was not happy with my answer and warned us that our group of three will not be able to sit together as we will be the last pickup. Anyway at 06:53 he called again as he was waiting for us at the meeting point. He was explaining many things in our way to the Grand Canyon. Stopped at Hoover Dam like for 10 minutes. Just had a chance for taking photos and continued to Route 66 at Seligman, AZ where we did a stop for 30 minutes and had the lunch provided by the tour organizer. We had to choose from a menu list, but the food was of very low quality and quantity. I find McDonalds quality much better... Arrived at Grand Canyon, we were given a map and instructions, and he informed us that when we need to be back to the meeting point after an hour. Got enough time for a bit walking around Bright Angel's Lodge. Then we went with the van to five different viewpoints where we stopped at each one for 10 minutes maximum driver was yelling if someone was late for a couple of minutes, not enough time to watch and enjoy the magnitude of the canyon. We left from the Grand Canyon after 2 hours and 45 minutes with the driver rushing to get back to Vegas when the tour description says "3 hours minimum at the Grand Canyon (up to 4 hours) at multiple viewpoints" (https://gc.tours/reservations/). On our way back the driver was playing with his phone (browsing facebook, sending messages and making calls), I find this behavior unprofessional and very dangerous when at the same time was telling us that he wants to be back safe because he has kids. What an irony... He managed to get us back to Vegas at least an hour earlier than the tour's schedule "Arrives back in Las Vegas around 8:30 PM" (https://gc.tours/reservations/). This is a review for the GC Tours - VIP Express South Rim Tour specifically. Of note, if you're going in the winter time, bring layers and comfy shoes. It's cold. Price point wise, this is reasonable. It's about ~40-50 dollars higher than the big-bus tour websites, and ~40-50 dollars cheaper than other "VIP" experience tours. With only 7 people on the tour, the experience becomes a lot more personable and intimate, as compared to being with 50 people on a bus and being dumped off in the super crowded visitor center without any guidance. Our tour guide Charlie was very accommodating and courteous. He really personalized the experience for my girlfriend and I and a lot of the reason we're rating it this is because of him specifically. Charlie came a little earlier than the emailed pick up time (which is nice) to our hotel. On initial impressions, the van isn't as clean-kept as pictures show on the website. It's not dirty, just not necessarily what the website depicts (shiny leather seats, basically looks stock). Not a big deal, besides you're going to be pretty tired since this tour leaves around 6-7 am. We took some pictures at the Las Vegas sign, made a quick stop for breakfast (Starbucks & Burger King) then proceeded to Hoover Dam. Everything is eaten on the go btw, so while a bit fumbly to eat (he drives pretty quickly and isn't afraid to pass cars), it's fine since it saves time. He told us some history about Boulder City and Hoover Dam while we drove there. At the Hoover Dam, we stopped for a couple of pictures, and he actually went out of his way to take pictures for all 7 people there, making sure we had good scenery and angles. He did tell us it would seem like he was rushing us, but that was because he wanted to make sure we got there midday since that was a good time of the day where pictures would look really nice. We then proceeded to Route 66, making a quick gas stop on the way. He also told us some history about Route 66, and for anyone who has watched Cars, you'll enjoy it a bit more. On a side note, stops are nicely spaced (1 hr / 1 hr 30 min). While on the route, he got our lunch orders so while having a 20 minute stop at Route 66, he could go get them. The meal value is 11 dollars per person, and it's fine if it goes slightly over. The diner GC Tours uses is average, nothing special. We then did the final drive to Grand Canyon, with a nice little pass-by of Bedrock (Fred Flintstones). This particular part is where the tour shines IMO. We bypassed the super-crowded visitor center where the big bus tours drop you off, and went to a less crowded one 10 minutes west of it. We had 45 minutes to browse around the Hopi Lodge, and take some pictures. Originally the plan was to go initially more west, but because the clouds were rolling in, he made a contingency plan to go east. We made a total of 5 scenic stops, and one of them was a off-the-beaten trail stop that was found by the manager of the GC Tours, which was particularly nice. All of the stops were really nice because there were a minimal amount of tourists at each stop, and the views were still beautiful. Again, Charlie went out of his way to point out particular spots in each stop that were good to take pictures in. He also took a lot of pictures for us too, making a funny jab that Chinese people really love their pictures. Seriously, this man knows how to take good pictures. We did actually end up going west of the visitors center we went to first, because the sun was starting to set. Afterwards, we went back to the strip making two gas station stops along the way and got dropped off at our hotel. We can't recommend this tour enough. Charlie went out of his way to accommodate our needs, and also made this tour a very personable and enjoyable experience. If we were to plan this for ourselves, we wouldn't have been able to replicate it. The information we learned and the views we saw wouldn't have been possible without GC Tours. That coupled with the reasonable price point makes this an easy choice. If my girlfriend and I didn't already book an Antelope Canyon / Horseshoe Bend tour with another company, we would've done it with GC Tours (They're offering it for 169, we booked it with another company for 230 each). So happy we decided to do the South Rim VIP Express tour. Be warned it is a really long day BUT we had an awesome time. Only 6 people plus the driver so way better than a huge bus and worth the extra money! Lunch is included as well as unlimited bottled water and there are plenty of stops for snacks and restrooms. Our tour guide Ben was AWESOME!! So friendly, knowledgeable and fun! The people with us were also awesome ( which makes the day so much better bc you are stuck with them for a really long time) You make stops at the LV sign, Hoover Dam and a really cool old place on Route 66 on the way in. The canyon is breath taking and Ben knows all the tricks for some great pics!! I would most definitely recommend this tour to anyone thinking about it! read more

Our family of 4 just completed the BRYCE Canyon/ZION Park tour and loved it. Zach was our guide and he was perfect, we could not have asked for anyone better. He was friendly, funny, informative, authentic and extremely accommodating. We had 2 teenagers with us and he was great with them. Zach escorted us to some of the highlights at both areas and was an absolute pleasure to spend 13 hours with! If we come back to Vegas, will definitely book another tour with GC and Zach. Ice cold water all day long and a filling lunch were included along with 2 very clean rest stops every 60-90 minutes. Our day started at 620am when Zach texted us that he is in transit to our hotel and I was glad for the communication. He then texted us again when he arrived. He was super friendly, offered us waters and let the kids know that he had a cell charger for the if they need it. The vehicle was very comfortable with plenty of room and the AC was perfectly cool. We had a lot of fun chatting with him all day long and really got along well with him. He is genuine, friendly and very positive. Thank you GC Tours and Zach for a fantastic adventure. read more

I was completely satisfied with my tour experience with GC tours. I don't write reviews a lot but I feel like I should say something positive about my experience since I enjoyed it so much. The price was more than reasonable for a trip like this as they not only pick you up and drop you off right at your hotel, 2 meals are also included. The food was nothing fancy, but we were well-fed throughout the 15-hour trip. If you're traveling from Vegas, you do have to get up very early as it's a long drive out to the Canyon. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I learned so much as he narrated throughout the first part of the tour. In between his narration, he put on relevant and entertaining documentaries/films/concert videos to keep us entertained. I thought this is very nice. We got 3 hours to explore the Grand Canyon on our own. The tour guide made sure that everyone knows where they're going and was more than willing to repeat instructions and give recommendations. We also got to see the Hoover Dam on our way to the Canyon as well as a stop at the historic Route 66. There were multiple rest/bathroom stops on our way and back to the Canyon, which made the long trip as painless as possible. I would definitely recommend it if you're in Vegas for a few days and would like to check out the Grand Canyon at an affordable price. My boyfriend and I went on a day trip to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Our driver and tour guide Eli was late for a little bit because he got caught up in an accident before picking us up but we still had enough time to go to the attractions and we got back in Vegas at around 9:30pm which wasn't too bad. Eli was really knowledgable about the places that we went to. He knew a lot about Las Vegas, its history and we definitely learned a lot from him. We really enjoyed our tour! We thought that driving to Bryce from Las Vegas and going back would be super tiring but the leather seats and our huge leg room made us feel very comfortable and we didn't feel super tired after. I would definitely recommend GC tours! It's worth the extra buck because it's a small group tour (there were only 6 people in our group) and the tour guide can really concentrate on giving you your needs. Avoid! This company has terrible customer service skills and won't acknowledge when a mistake is made, on their part. Instead, the general manager will blame it all on the customer. I will never us this company again, for any services. We booked a tour in Nov for April and decided to upgrade in Feb. We received our confirmation that day. When the day arrived, the weather was terrible so we reschedule. Well, the rescheduled date came and the limo never showed. When we called, they stated that the change was never made, we were doubled booked (not sure how) and our limo would not come on our tour date. It was all our fault for not receiving our confirmation email (somehow the email was changed after the 1st confirmation and I was told we relayed the email incorrect). It was also our fault that we never recieved our confirmation call the day before. I would stay away. When a mistake is made, honesty really does take you far. I would have been happy with an apology, instead of being insulted. read more

Grand Canyon is a top 5 must see destination in the US. If you are going to be in Vegas, you must make the bucket list trip to GC. The problem is, everytime I go to Vegas, I think about the 4hour 1 way drive to GC and always end up not going. When I found this tour, I was sold. It was priced reasonable. The bus picked us up from Planet Hollywood, and drove us to a parking lot bit south near the airport. Then we are found our tour buses. We went on the South Rim bus, some did the West Rim and Hoover Dam bus. The 6 hr drive to South rim included Hoover dam and Route 66 which was a nice bonus. We spent 4 hours in GC walking the 2 mile trail. Our driving, which was also the speaking guide, was freindly and knowledgeable. Just take the bus and relax and sleep, wake up, and you are in GC. Best tour ever. read more

Let me put it this way: when things are easy, this company might be sufficient to get you to the Great Canyon and back to the hotel. Nothing more. When there are difficulties, problems need to solve, discussions, they are nothing but amateur, disrespectful, not in any way helpful, and irresponsible. They claim they are better, they are different, but better doesn't only mean smaller groups, lunch provided, and other superficial things, which by the way I have to say they are also by no means better -- the vehicle is visibly dirty! !Nothing stands out. Put this aside, being better lies in the attitude, the sense of customer service. You tell a good company apart from the rest when things are not easy, when there are problems to solve. In the situation I'm about to explain, this company shows they are nothing but a mediocre overpriced transportation company. When we raise a question, they act defensively, they are not compassionate enough to listen to us, instead they blame us for everything, they scold us for complaining to them, they insult that we are not knowledgeable enough to foresee a problem, they whip out their terms and conditions, ask why we didn't read more closely, they ask why we didn't do things differently but not what they could have done differently. GC as a company doing Grand Canyon tours for years failed to put their experience into helping customers, they succeeded in using their experience to defend themselves. They wasted our trust in them. They failed to be kind, be considerate, be fair under the circumstances of problem-solving. We booked a tour a month ago for March 2nd. It's me and my parents' first time traveling in this area, to Grand Canyon. We thought a tour company might make things easier. While the day was approaching we got no reminder emails, no another confirmation letter about the pick-up time, driver's info the day before -- which is kinda fine I guess, I have it on my calendar and they are not obligated to remind me again, they did send one email when I booked it one month ago. It just appeared a little amateur to me, but no harms were done. So I sent an email to confirm the pick-up time, I also raised the question of whether the tour would be still on given the weather forecast indicating rain during the day. I was thinking briefly whether the rain would cause danger on the road, but it never occurred to me that the rain would cause a heavy fog in the Canyon and there was a risk of no visibility. Thinking back, I could have done more research and phrased the question differently by asking more specifically about the impact of the rain. Anyway they responded in very few words saying: hi, the pick-up time is correct and the tour is on! So I was relieved. In my opinion when an experienced tour company decides to proceed with the trip I should trust their decision. Then the next day, we met with the driver, it was drizzling, I asked the driver: do you think there will be mist impacting the view in the Canyon based on your experience? He avoided answering directly, he just said the rain was on and off. GC Tours--what kind of a professional tour company that knew early on that the risk or even the fact of the heavy fog in the Great Canyon in the morning but didn't even have the courtesy to warn/ inform us the first-time travelers the possibility of poor/zero visibility, the possibility of a 12-hour travel in vain? A little bit of your knowledge and experience would be so helpful to us...your purpose is to guide us through an amazing experience in the Great Canyon, didn't it occur to you to kindly remind us about the visibility issue based on your knowledge, your connection with the park, your extensive experience? Wasn't that obvious to do on a day like that? Instead you blamed us for not knowing better, stated in your long email that it is us who made a poor decision that day to go on the trip, wasted a 12 hours drive. It is all us to blame. You have nothing to do with anything. All you have is the terms and conditions you use as excuses. You can blame me on everything, you can pull out your terms to get away, but at least admit that you had options to make this experience better too! Your company is far from the best company you boasted to be, you are not even trying to listen and be better.  Attached is how they addressed me, tell me in what way this is proper!!??Tell me how they DARE to claim they are the better tour company in the business!!?? They agree to refund $30 of the $375 I paid, and a future discount which I will never use. I'm letting you know their offer because I think it's important and only fair to show you how they intend to compensate. It is not only about money, it's disappointment, and the utter waste of time and energy. Wow! What a day we had with our tour guide, Glenn. We booked our VIP Tour to the Grand Canyon just a couple of weeks ago. We had 6 people in our group. Glenn was prompt to pick us up at our hotel the morning of our tour. Our first stop was the historic "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, then off to the Hoover Dam. From there we hit Seligman, AZ and historic Route 66. After that we were on our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Glenn was very knowledgeable and friendly. We stopped at multiple for multiple different view points along the south rim, even one that was more hidden from the typical stops and got a great photo op! We looked into multiple different tour companies, based on reviews GC Tours stood out to us to be the perfect match. The price was great too! I came across GC tours while researching tour companies that could take my friends and I to the Grand Canyon while we were vacationing in Las Vegas. The website is very clear, there are no hidden additional fuel surcharges or any surprised fees which is something I noticed with other companies. We opted for the tour of South Rim of Grand Canyon which costs us a total of $74.00 per person. The cost included unlimited water, breakfast and lunch which you get to pick while buying the ticket (choice of turkey, roast beef, ham or vegetarian sandwiches). The tour bus was on time picking us up a 6:30 am and made one additional stop to pick up other passengers. Our first stop was at the Hoover Dam which was simply amazing. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, giving us a brief history about the construction of the dam, telling us how it is on the border of Arizona and Nevada. The stop at the Hoover Dam was approximately 20 minutes enough time to take pictures and make to bus onto the next stop. Our second stop was at the historical Route 66 Original gift shop which also happens to be the place where the cartoon Cars takes place. We were able to purchase gifts, snap a few pictures, stretch our legs until the next stop which was the Grand Canyon. It took us about 30 minutes to get into the Grand Canyon State Park, because it was a very busy day. We finally arrived and were given 3 hours to do as much as we could because we had to be on the road back to Las Vegas by no later than 5 pm. We were given to choice of staying at the Bright Angel Lodge where you have a limited view of the south rim, hoping on the free shuttle to get to some of the different look out points and for adventure seekers walk the trail. This was a fun trip. Our tour guide Luanna was AMAZING. She was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained during the whole trip. She was very patient despite the tardiness of some passengers. We ended up leaving the Grand Canyon at approximately 5:20 pm and making it back to Las Vegas by 9:45 pm. It was an exhausting day but I would do it again. I very much enjoyed the tour. If you are looking a great tour company to go to the Grand Canyon with no hidden fees, gimmick or fuel surcharge, I recommend GC tours. I had an amazing time with my friend and a small group doing the VIP west rim Grand Canyon tour. The early morning pick up was tolerable because the tour got off to a great start by stopping immediately at the welcome to Las Vegas sign for photos and a brief history lesson. Not too far down the road we stopped for coffee and a bathroom break followed by The Hoover dam and Joshua tree Forest before finally stopping at the Grand Canyon west rim. The whole day was just perfect, Warner, our guide was funny and so informative, I would highly recommend him and this company for a great experience! Went on a South Rim tour with my family in the middle of August. Pick-up time was prompt. The bus was clean, comfortable and new but nothing extra spectacular. The seats were great, no torn or tattered seats. The bus was non-smoking, the on-board bathroom was of course small but this is expected. It was nice and clean, the most important thing. After a few more pick ups we were on our way. The lunch was a-okay. I was expecting a bland turkey sandwich but this one was really good. I don't eat turkey sandwich but I made an exception on this one! Other than that you might want to get something at the concession store when you get there if you want something more filling. You have 3 hours on the rim, so better plan where you need to go. If you plan to explore the canyon in-depth then this trip is your perfect starter. You'd want to come back and spend a few days here. However short your time is here, you would not want to miss the visitors center and the spectacular view just behind it! It was so hot when we got there we almost didn't want to leave the airconditioning of the center, but the 4 more extra minutes of walk certainly gave us a view of a lifetime. We would have deeply regretted it if we didn't take that 4-minute walk! We got back to the strip on time at around 9pm. The tour certainly did not disappoint for 80 bucks! read more
