Great "under the glitz" tour offers some interesting stories about Las Vegas and it's darker history.

I cannot recommend this highly enough. Our guide, Kelly, had old pictures and knew so much of this history of Old Las Vegas. It was amazing!! He told us where to get affordable water (ABC stores) and why ABC stores (which are Hawaii-based stores) are around, took us through the history of so many hotels and the highlights. We did this in December, so I am sure it is a lot hotter in the summer, but there is a lot of indoor space. I'd still recommend a water bottle. All of us loved learning and he was a great story teller. You go all the way down to Container Park and get some coupons and restaurant tip sheet at the end. You will be on your feet for two hours so wear comfy shoes. But we actually would consider staying down in "old Las Vegas" the next time we come, all because of this tour.

We loved learning the history of Vegas and about the revitalization of downtown since this is where we were staying (and how this happened). We were taken into casinos we otherwise wouldn't have stopped in. Did you know there is an award winning pool in the golden nugget...we didn't. The two hours flew by and our tour guide offered suggestions for local eats. I recommend this tour if you want a bit of a history lesson on how Vegas came to be.

Our guide was Luis, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and hospitable - he really attributed to a wonderful experience. We were accompanied by 8 other people that we didn't know, all of whom were very nice. After an early morning pickup at our hotel in Luis' van, we went to three other hotels to pick up the other people for the tour. First stop was the Fabulous Las Vegas sign for photos, and then a group breakfast at McDonalds. We then went on a very picturesque drive out to the Hoover Dam, and we spent over an hour there, enjoying the sights and learning about the structure and its construction. Lastly, we drove out to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. We enjoyed the glass bottomed Skywalk, and then took more photos around Eagle Point. There was plenty of time to check out the gift shops. We saw some replica Native American structures, and enjoyed watching some dancing. We then drove to Guano Point for a picnic lunch, a hike, and plenty more photos. Before the drive back to Vegas, our guide stopped by the Joshua Tree forest, and we snapped a few photos. It was such a wonderful day! FIVE STARS.

As a Las Vegas local who frequently visits both Chinatown and the Arts District, I was impressed that Lip Smacking Foodie Tours still introduced me to places I had never been to, along with a few restaurants that had already been on my list to try. Both of my tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the local food scene. They made everyone feel welcome, and the experience felt personal from start to finish. I value great service just as much as great food, and they truly delivered on both. This may honestly be one of my favorite experiences in Las Vegas, and I plan on doing every tour they offer. Even the guests on my most recent tour shared that they make it a tradition to book a Lip Smacking Foodie Tour whenever they visit Las Vegas because it's one of their favorite ways to explore the city. I can't wait to experience the remaining tours. I've heard wonderful things about them, and based on the two I've already done, I'm confident they'll exceed my expectations.

Why should you book the kayaking tour to the Emerald Cove with Outdoorster?…read more 1. Their communication is ON POINT. I received emails and texts telling me exactly where to go, what I should bring, and what they provide on the experience. I knew exactly how to get in touch with my guide and exactly what to expect. 2. They have glass bottom kayaks! I felt very secure in my kayak even as a beginner and no one in our group came close to tipping over. 3. We weren't rushed at all. Our guide Jordan gave us several breaks, took us on a short hike to get the best photos, and invited us to swim in the cooling water as well. A lot of companies rush you to the Emerald Cave and back, but we were able to enjoy the entire Colorado river experience. 4. They employ Jordan. Ask for Jordan if you go (though we did interact with other Outdoorster guides who were all very friendly and helpful). Jordan had snacks and water for us, took tons of photos, was patient with all 10 guests, had helpful information and suggestions about Las Vegas, and was just a genuinely friendly gentleman. We had a BLAST and have enough photos and videos and memories for a lifetime - but I'm sure we'll be back again soon for more!
