We recently spent a week on vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, we decided to take a tour of the grand canyon. The concierge at our hotel recommended Sweetours so we called and made a reservation. The tour was fantastic! The tour bus picked us up right outside of our hotel. It was an early morning pick up, but that was OK because the tour was scheduled to last about nine hours. A light breakfast and unlimited water is included in the tour fee. That was a pleasant addition to the trip. Once we boarded the bus, we immediately noticed that the seats were very close together. There was not much legroom for such an extended ride and no cupholders for water or other beverages. That being said, the tour was fantastic. Our tour Director was very knowledgeable about all things Las Vegas, all things Hoover dam, and all things Grand Canyon. On the way to the Grand Canyon, there is a stop at the Hoover dam. There's plenty of opportunities for pictures and souvenir shopping there. Back on the bus, we had for the Grand Canyon. There was not one, but two stops at the Grand Canyon, one at Eagle point, and another at the west rim. You have the option of purchasing a lunch voucher with your tour ticket and the option to purchase a ticket for the skywalk. we ended up spending a good bit of time at the canyon. It was time for a leisurely lunch, a little hiking, souvenir shopping and plenty of pictures. We even had the opportunity to speak with some of the local Halapei Indians. By the way, the lunch was very good! All in all, it was an excellent trip, and an excellent tour. It met all of our expectations. We were a bit disappointed in the telephone customer service when we called prior to the trip. That was short-lived and other than that I would highly recommend this tour. Hubby and I had only a few days in Las Vegas, so one of the tours that we had to go on was to see the Grand Canyon. We met early at Bally's Uber stop, our guide did an excellent job seating all parties. She was energetic, accommodating, and fast thinking: when a drunk guy tried to board our bus, she politely and quickly escorted him off. If you have never been to the Grand Canyon, this is a great way to see it because you get: - A comedian/anne who entertains you as well as gives you interesting facts about the area and the indigenous tribe - a solid complimentary breakfast - a filling complimentary bbq lunch at the top of the canyon - tips on on how to make the most of the tour so you can really enjoy yourself. - a couple stops at souvenir shops which have Indian handicrafts. - A walk on the Skywalk (This breathtaking 10-foot wide, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge extends 70 feet out over the rim of the Grand Canyon, giving you a clear view 4,000 feet to the Canyon floor below- website) with an opportunity to have professional photographers take your pics, for a fee of course. GC Tours and Sweetours offerred a very thorough purchase priocess through the website. Seats were secured with a down payment and directions to the pick up spot were texted to us proactively. Jerry was a very knowledgeable and jocular guide for the entire trip. He was quite descriptive and a great resource for Las Vegas history and Grand Canyon trivia. The route included stops at the gas station (hopefully they get a fee for this) stops at Wagle Point, and Guano Point, then Hoover Dam for a brief photo stop. I must say that the entire day was well organized and safe. The vistas and majesty of Grand Canyon were truly amazing. I believe that the $110 USD each was well worth it. We booked a tour of the Hoover Dam from Las Vegas. The communication was kind of strange at first, and we weren't exactly sure when we were going to be picked up. But I was finally able to contact someone and confirmed that the pick up time at our hotel would be at 9AM. We were staying at the SLS (now the Sahara) and were picked up promptly at 9am, as promised. We were the first pickup, so we had our choice of seats. We stopped by several other hotels to pick other passengers up, but we were on the road by 9:40am. The driver/tour guide (Awesome Anthony) handed out ice cold bottled water to all of the guests at the last pickup stop before we left town. He also made sure to hand out cold bottled water at each additional stop along the way. We arrived at the Hoover Dam Lookout Point at 10:34 and we were able to spend about 20 minutes wandering around and taking photos. Shortly after that, Awesome Anthony drove us to the Hoover Dam visitor center, and purchased our tour passes for the tour of the dam's interior, where they explained how all of the technology worked. We had plenty of time to take the tour and walk across the dam, and then Awesome Anthony picked us up again at 1:15pm as promised. BONUS on this tour - not sure if it happens all the time, but Awesome Anthony made a slight detour on the way back to Vegas, and stopped at Hemenway Valley Park to give us all a chance to check out some desert bighorn sheep and get some awesome photos. This was an added treat, and totally unexpected. Bonus: we were the first to be dropped off, just like we were the first to be picked up. They seem to pickup and dropoff on the north end of the strip. We were dropped off at the north end of the strip by 2:20pm. Bus was clean, great air conditioning, plenty of cold water provided, and everything was on time. Sorry if I seem anal on the time pickups and drop offs, but some reviews I have read complained about the pickup times. I had no problems with this at all. I will DEFINITELY book through this tour company again if I am in town. They only lose half a star because of the confusion about the pick up time and location - I was able to square that away the morning of the pickup, but not the night before. I took the Grand Canyon West Rim tour. Turned out the South Rim tour, which my Sightseeing Pass was for, had very few signups so they let me switch to the West Rim for just a little bit more money ($20). Worked out great! Wally is a very good guide too. At first I was nervous because of his age, but by the end, I was regaled with his charming British accent. On top of which, he was very knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. Example: I was picked up before anyone else, because I was staying at an off-strip hotel, at 6am and was dropped off last as well. As it neared 6pm, I asked if I was going to make my dinner reservations and Wally made it his top priority to get me back to the Gold Coast with time to spare. Straight A's for Wally! Other than Wally, the bus temperatures were perfect but the seats were just a tiny bit too small- I'm a 225 pound guy and it took conscious effort to stay on the seat when I nodded off. Also, the prepared meal was very good and there was plenty of ice cold water to keep us all hydrated. When all is said and done, I had a great time and I would do it again! read more

Suprise Snow storm, 6 inches in an hour. Sheriff said "happens every 2/3 years". Cant blame bus Co. for storm, but blame them for not being prepared: No:cell phone service, shovels, chains, or salt! If it snows every 2/3 yrs, bus should have equipment to support the drivers. We were lucky the Indian reservation sheriff drove by and called for help. 1 out of 3 buses had chains, they shared. Our bus seem to be closer to the ditch, two chains for whole bus was not enough. STUCK FOR 3 HOURS, BECAUSE OUR BUS HAD NO PROPER EQUIPMENT! TO TOP IT OFF, THEY SENT US ON A 10 HOUR TOUR WITH NO WORKING BATHROOM! ("Broken the day before") We had passengers that were bit anxious. Bus driver was calm, communicative and sorry for inconvenience. A dry day could be a 5 star tour but dont risk a winter tour with sweettours! They felt a $30 refund was appropriate for a $160 ticket. read more

We booked a day trip on a Saturday for the Grand Canyon West and our trip started out a little rocky- we were picked up right on time but the bus was crowded and dark, and then we got switched to a bigger more open bus with a lively and informed driver named Wally. My family and I were blown away by how amazing this trip was. Pick-up was seamless, especially thanks to the due diligence by the team who reached out to us a day before to help us find the pick-up point since it's not easy to find. The breakfast and lunch provided were more than sufficient. Wally was an excellent tour guide, who not only offered clear directions and instructions throughout the trip regarding procedures on timing and recommendations, but also a wonderful and informative commentary as he drove the entire day. I also want to comment what seems like very close attention paid to some of the more recent feedback others gave, such as timing of the itinerary and clarifications requested. Sweetours has no empathy or compassion. We made a quick visit to Las Vegas prior to intestinal surgery. I was feeling better on Tuesday so made the reservations for the 10 hour Grand Canyon tour. Wednesday noon I felt this was not a great idea and didn't want to inconvenience others on the bus tour. I may have to stop often. So we tried to cancel the trip at that time. The contract says, that there are no cancellations. We worked through the concierge at Vdara for the cancellation. Sweetours told them that there was no cancellation. Mary Ann, the Vdara concierge told me I shouldn't go in this heatwave of 110°. This is even hot for Las Vegas. She said she would cancel but we haven't heard from your yet. I only worked through the Vdara but it was like them speaking to a brick wall. They never acknowledged our issues. Sweetours called at 6:45 this morning looking for us. Since I was sleeping I didn't get the call. So, instead of finding someone else to fill our seats on a bus that was going anyway, they just waited for us to show up and charged our card instead of mitigating their damages. The way we feel is the bus was going anyway so we didn't cause any financial deficit in anyway. I don't think they would have wanted me on board asking for a stop every so often. Try to find a tour that has more empathy. read more

My wife and I recently got married in vegas , the first official day as a couple we took our wedding party on the grand canyon west rim tour. The people at sweettours were overly accommodating to all of our guests ensuring we were all on the same tour. Our bus was immaculately clean, ac worked great and plenty of food and water was provided. Most importantly we had the duo of Ken (tour guide) and LaLa (driver). I'll start with Ken , he's the king of the canyon! Kens extremely knowledgeable, funny and professional. On my many trips to vegas , Ken definitely was the highlight of our honeymoon. LaLa is the fearless bus driver that will get you exactly where you need to be and on time, barring a traffic disaster on the highway that had us parked for two hours on the freeway. Not all was lost Ken being a true professional kept all of us guests entertained with the newly wed game and many insightful facts about Las Vegas. If there's one stranger I'll never forget on my wedding day, it's Ken! Thank you sweet tours for doing all that you do for your guests. We took a trip to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. They picked us up from the strip at around six, then we stopped at ihop for breakfast. The trip was so organized and the tour guide (Ken) that accompanied us was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was also funny. We had unlimited cold water. They do such a good job organizing this and being so efficient. Our trip included breakfast, lunch. Ticket to the skywalk and the trip which cost us $650+tip for 4. Well worth it though. read more

I have done a lot of bus tours and also taken my NYC visitors around NY - this bus tour is the BEST if not one of the Best for the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam tours - it is a one of a kind experience to be in Bus 37 with our very knowledgeable expert tour guide n very safe driver ROBERT ! He knows so much, is very engaging ( not boring at all ), & has a great sense of humor too ! he gave us so many helpful tips on getting the max out of the tour/ trip including which restaurants are good in Vegas - he is also firm yet very kind and on point and caring even towards several passengers who came back late to the bus , he definitely has more patience than me lol The tour picks you up ON TIME from your hotel n also brings you back at least to the street corner of your hotel, it is a clean, not smelly bus with a restroom that doesn't stink from the outside though I never used it on our trip. They provided us with breakfast which had a banana, muffins, cookies and Tropicana Orange juice , halfway in the trip at Hoover Dam, Robert also handed us bottles of water and then he gave us lunch before we reached the Grand Canyon which was a very delicious freshly made turkey or ham sandwich ( my son ate his turkey sandwich n he is one very picky eater so yeah it's that good ! ) also in the pack were potato chips n choc chips and bottled water I highly recommend this tour they are very helpful and accommodating as soon as you book I got a text asking what sandwiches we prefer n instructions on where in the hotel to exactly meet - and especially since we had to change hotels - it was impressive that they responded right away when I reached out for them with my new info - Nan was very nice n accommodating. On Sunday, November 22nd they picked us up from Paris Las Vegas exactly on time as they said, 6:35am. We had an amazing time at the Grand Canyon where we also invested on the Skywalk and photos. However, I don't feel as excited about the tour guide. She didn't seem to have the type of personality required for these types of jobs. I get it, I'm an introvert! But for a guide, I would've loved a loud, exciting person as we've had when we've done other tours. She was using the microphone and I couldn't hear her well. I didn't even get her name. Which was probably in her best interest because she totally played us dirty that day! When she gave us our three free hours she said to be back at 1:50pm. I am always punctual but I've noticed on other tour buses that they still wait for people to return. When we got to the pick up point at 1:55 my husband thought I was exaggerating to freak out about being late because they always wait. I freaked out when I saw the Sweet Tours bus driving away leaving us behind! I asked people at the entrance of Grand Canyon West, nobody knew anything. One kind gentleman who works for the helicopter tours lent us his cell phone to call Sweet Tours. Dispatch was able to locate our driver and she came back for us. She was not apologetic. I asked her in disbelief if she really did leave and she gave an unabashed YES, and seemed to imply "aaand?" No apology or sign that it was an accident. At the end of the tour she invited people to give tips, but my husband thought the money was better spent tipping the guy who lent us his cell phone than her. Why three stars in spite of everything? Because we still had an amazing time at Grand Canyon and the tour company was only one small part of it. They did get us there and brought us back! read more

We recently had a tour of the West Rim/Hoover Dam with this company. The driver was not friendly to a woman visiting from Australia on our tour. She also mentioned how she works for tips more than once. In addition, my 80-year-old mother left her coat on the bus. I immediately called Sweet Tours and was told I would receive a callback. I had to call the company back since no one called me as promised. I was told the jacket was not on the bus. I do not think anyone even checked. The bus itself did not have working air conditioning. The bus had a smell that could have been from the bathroom. A passenger opened up the sunroof at the back of the bus to help with the smell. The tour itself would have been more enjoyable with a different driver. Although her driving was fine her personality was crass and rude. read more

I want to clarify the reason for my 3star review. Sweet tours in general deserves 5stars. The representative for the tour was really good and very informative. The experience with our tour guide was not! He deserves 1 star. Phil started off ok, telling us how our day would go in turns of stops, rests, etc. The very uncomfortable situation was after we stopped at Dennys for our breakfast. After our return to the bus, he startled saying we were not leaving because "someone" did not pay a $6.00 bill for tea. He said that in this country it was called "stealing" . He continuously repeated it. An older couple went up to say they had left money on the table for the tea they had ordered. He then started saying they didn't pay for the tax, that was stealing. The couple were from London, they explained they did not know about tax. They were humiliated and disrespected in the whole process. We were behind them and felt sorry for them. The lady was almost in tears. Phil later was rude and demanded we listen to him because he was tired of repeating himself. We felt like "children" in a field trip. He is unprofessional, disrespectful and out right rude! Later Phil over heard the couple from London, my husband and I and a younger couple discussing that very disrespectful incident and how he had us running and demanding, went ahead and asked "why" were we talking about him. We explained and initially instead of apologizing he tried to justify his actions. When he saw he was not going to win. And I told him I would review him, he started to apologize. Honestly much too late. There were more uncomfortable situations but I don't want to go on indefinite. .He needs to take some hospitality training or take sone other avenue to make money. We took a tour of the Grand Canyon West Rim, which included a stop at The Hoover Dam and endless entertainment from our driver, Jackie! You can't beat the price for an entire days guided tour with breakfast and lunch included, plenty of pit-stops for bathroom breaks, and tons of time to roam around at the canyon. We ended up doing the sky walk as well, which was another instance of time and money well spent. The ride to and from was comfortable and clean, the views were amazing, and the videos (along with Jackie's knowledge) made everything we saw and do come to life. 5/5 would absolutely recommend! read more

We booked the GC Grand Canyon Tour and were picked up at a hotel in Las Vegas. The Grand Canyon was beautiful but there were some unneccessary stops on the way there (for example the hoverdam). Therefore it took us over 8 hours to get there making it an 18 hours trip altogether which could have been way quicker. At the end we just got off the bus at some other Hotel in Las Vegas because it took ages to drop everyone off (and it was too cool in the bus)... the food you get is good but there is not enough water (only 1 small bottle at every stop) But the Canyon was cool! read more

Our driver Wally provided interesting stories about the area, and we got our share of the beautiful desert. A lot of sitting since we ran into a traffic jam on the way home, but lots of restroom breaks, a stop at the Hoover Dam, Kingman, Arizona and a town I can't remember the name of (at a shop with free coffee, yesss!) He recommended a good assortment of stops for when we arrived at Grand Canyon National Park South Rim. Took our second tour this week, this time to the south rim Grand Canyon. (We did the west in 2016) LONG ride. Breakfast and lunch were good and ample. There are plenty of stops the way down to get refreshments if you please. And a stop at the Hoover dam with informative facts. Grand Canyon national park breathtaking and be prepared to HIKE. First they never showed up and claim they lost our reservation. So we couldn't go to the Hoover Dam. They called back and said they could pick us up the next day. They did. While stepping off the tour bus, I stepped into the last step, and discovered that the left side of the step (where I was disembarking) was not secure and I slipped and fell, twisting my knee and bruising my tailbone. The owner, Nan Yuan, suggested I go have it checked out but I need to use my insurance and he would "help" cover my deductible. They are completely responsible for my injury and refuse to take responsibility. read more

And went beyond any job expectations helping me with a medical event i had while on the tour. Would recommend this highly, we went to hoover dam and the grand canyon. We made a trip to Las Vegas for my birthday this year and the one thing that I wanted to do when we were out there was visit the Grand Canyon. My fiancé made sure to make the reservations prior to us arriving and we did the tour on my actual birthday. How many people can say they spent their birthday at one of life's National Wonders?When I tell you that everything was perfect from the beginning to the end, I could not be more honest. The bus driver picked us up at six in the morning, drove us to the tour bus, we picked up other passengers and then drove three hours out to the Grand Canyon. I must say that I have never experienced anything so humbling and beautiful in my entire life. This is definitely an experience you want to have in your lifetime and if given the opportunity to go, please do. The tour guide was amazing, I can't remember her name but she worked there for many years and was fluent in both English and Spanish. The day we went, it was a little cold and we actually experienced some sleet and snow but it certainly didn't ruin our trip. They fed us breakfast on our way there and lunch when we got there. I had a Turkey sandwich and my fiancé had roast beef, both very good. They stopped half way there at a gas station and let everyone use the restroom. This was a great tour. I would like to start off by giving our tour guide Dirk a lot of praise. He made the trip much fun. I gave 4 stars because we didn't get the lunch we ordered. No fault of the company's because someone else on the bus decided to have "extras". Dirk did try to get us our lunches but it was ham instead of turkey, which I don't eat. I have a few reasons why i gave it only 3 stars:(1) pickup was 15 minutes late, (2) i had to change buses at Luxor so my choice of two seats together was two in the back of the bus, (3) outlets in the back did not include usb connections, (4) we were not notified about the outlets until we were two hours away from Grand Canyon, (5) water was room temperature for the trip to Grand Canyon, and finally (6) it took 1 1/2 hours after we reached Las Vegas to drop me off at my hotel (the 11th of 12 hotels). Drop off should be optimized to minimize the drop off time such as going up the strip and then go down the strip instead of zigzagging through the strip. It took 6 hours and 20 minutes to return from Grand Canyon. I got back to my hotel at 10:30pm. I will not recommend this tour to my friends and family and via social media read more

I originally booked our Grand Canyon South Rim trip with GC tours for me, my son and grandmother. GC tours states in small print on confirmation letter that you may end up having your tour with another company which in my case was Sweetours! So please pay attention to the name of the bus your confirmation gives otherwise you will be confused especially being picked up at hotels. Our pick up time was 6:40 am yesterday. We arrived to designated area at 6:30 am. 7:15am all of us who were waiting began to call the company but no answer. 7:20am a mini bus pulls in and the driver James gets. Guess what? We aren't on his list for a pick up. I showed him confirmation that we booked with GC tours and on confirmation letter it shows bus name as Sweetours. You could tell James had a stressful morning because he was a little agitated but James reassured us he would handle it so he called his station and we were told to pay balance and get on the bus. James still had other pick ups along the way but he did manage to give a speech about what to expect and how the company operates. We end up at the bus yard where they assign which bus to get on depending on the trip you were going on. We were assigned to bus 15 our driver was Lorena. So, we go to check in and guess what? Lorena had no idea we were to be on her bus. She told us to wait while she goes to office. She returns with a manager and James comes back and explained we already paid and this is the correct bus. So they happily gave us a breakfast bag with juice and water and took our lunch order. So after delaying the bus another 10-15 minutes we were on our way to Hoover Dam, lunch, Route 66, then Grand Canyon. Lorena was a excellent driver and very informative with a lot of history on everywhere we went. I was impressed with her trivia questions and she played dvd movies and documentaries on areas we visited to make the drive time faster. What really impressed me is that on our ride Lorena took the time to sincerely apologize for all the confusion which had taken place that many of us endured which was due to a power outage so everything was being done manually. We sat right in the front seat so we were able to see so much and ask questions that Lorena happily answered. I gave Sweetours 5 star's because I can honestly say I enjoyed my trip from beginning to end. This company handled everything that started wrong with pure grace and in a professional manner. I will suggest to anyone to book your tour's with this company directly rather than a outside courier. Had I known I would have done the same thing but I know now. Thanks Sweetours! Took the West Rim Grand Canyon Tour with photo stop at the Hover Dam. Overall-a great experience. Tour was efficient, bus was clean & our driver was courteous & funny - thank you Awesome Anthony! Timely pickup from our Vegas hotel. Bus ride was comfortable & went fast with a bathroom stop each way. Light breakfast was provided (Banana, Benicia biscuits, muffins & orange juice). Bottled water also provided. Tour allowed 3 hours at the canyon including the skywalk & includes a lunch voucher. Your time at the canyon is unguided, but you don't need one & their are plenty of tribal staff available to answer questions. Totally worth it if you want to see the canyon while visiting Vegas. read more

The whole experience was well-planned and efficient. Booking through Viator was fast and easy. Tour operators from the company (Sweetours) contacted us to confirm details and were very helpful in providing details about where to find the pickup spot to prevent delays. They were also able to assist in changing the pickup spot to make it easier for us. We were picked up by a smaller bus and taken to the large bus that was our final mode of transportation. They were organized and were able to get everyone onto their respective busses and get on the way promptly. Our driver, Wally was very knowledgeable and described the history of Vegas, the Hoover Dam as well as the West Rim and the Hualapai Tribe. We were shown a video about the inception and creation of the glass skywalk and had one break along the way to stretch our legs and pick up lunch. Wally was truly a wonderful guide and brought us safely back to our hotels after the tour. He provided us with helpful hints about wait times and being realistic about shuttle times between the stops once we are at the rim, and he also gave us his opinion about the most efficient way to spend our time, while having the opportunity to maximize our experience. We took his advice, and were thankful we did!! The west rim was stunning and very well maintained and managed by the tribe. It was nice to have a chance to support the tribe and meeting so many lovely people and learning about not only the history of the west rim, but also about the Hualapai Tribe. We did leave an hour late because of a couple that must have gotten the time difference mixed up, but that fault cannot be placed on Sweetours or Wally - despite him mentioning the importance of punctuality and the time difference between Nevada and Arizona numerous times. Wally graciously offered to drive straight back to Vegas without making any stops to help us recoup time and dropped us back at our respective hotels. 10/10 for an excellent and efficient tour and 100/10 for Wally, our amazing guide. read more

We took this tour while in Vegas and it was great! Our driver, Anthony, kept us entertained the whole way there and provided a lot of historical info. The price was good for the west Grand Canyon tour, a stop at the Hoover Dam, a small breakfast, and a voucher for lunch.
