My partner's son inherited his portion of the business and we placed the business up for sale. Mr. Lister, the owner, contacted us and we sold the business to him "as is" at an agreed amount. It was agreed to let him make payments to pay the due balance. In the beginning, payments were made as agreed, but after only paying about half, then he decided the business was not worth the agreed amount. In the end, he discontinued making any more payments on the remaining balance (about $40k) and kept client listings and physical property.
