We'd interviewed a few other photography outfits and had some minor reservations with the other companies. Fortunately, we were pointed to Ignited by another couple being married at St. Johns Inn (Plymouth, MI) in passing. I'm beyond impressed with their professionalism and drive to capture every special moment of our day. They were prompt to the job and eager to get started right when I walked into the church. The hustle and bustle of wedding day gets very complex between the guys and gals. Having a man and women team makes all the difference in the world to ensure that every moment is captured between the bride/groom before they see each other. Those moments tell a story in and of themselves and I'm so glad that with this dynamic couple those memories are permanently captured. More importantly, this team blended right in with our family and friends at the church and reception. They achieved my (exhaustive) list of family photo requests. They were very pleasant and organized and worked well with the all of the children at our reception. They took charge at the right moments and had a creative eye for all sorts of neat photos (both inside and outside). At the reception, they actually had an iPAD loaded with some of our church photos--what a sweet surprise! Did I mention Heather is too, handy? She had a fix for everything we forgot (e.g. pretty dress hanger, static guard, button loop, etc.)! Ultimately, they were way EASY to work with, responsive to inquiries, fair and reasonable price for services, and had a straight forward/common language contract. I would hire this team again in a HEARTBEAT and would highly recommend this team to any other couple preparing for their wedding day hoping to capture every special moment.

For years I have been going to my daughters' events and every year it seems as if this company is…read morethe photographer used. At the event it is very difficult to in front of a monitor to view the photos due to the large number of people, however, just about every year, I have been able to wait to view them and then order. This year was a different story. Due to a family emergency, I was not able to stay and wait to view the pictures, and was hoping to view them online... sadly, there is no online viewing. I then figured I could take advantage of the action photos on the CD... strike two, you have to buy them as a group ONLY (not going to happen with our group since we have two sets of twins and understandably, both moms do not want or need, two discs of the same pictures. My last shot was the pictures taken in front of the green screen... strike three... only the team photo could be ordered. $50 for the photo and frame, $12 for shipping.. ok, I could do that, but then a $10 post-event fee per picture. Personally, I would think that doing business for this long, some basics things, view pics online, order after the fact, etc., would be a given, along with some accommodations for certain things (i.e. Twins). It really is a bummer since this was one of my girls' 8th and last year. The ONLY reason I gave two stars instead of one is because of the quality of the photos I have received in the past at these events from this vendor. I know plenty of parents in this league have one or more of these issues, and I hope we are able to get a different vendor as we move forward.

marcie of pink moon photography captured my hard but redeeming vbac experience from beginning to…read moreend and also did a maternity shoot for us a couple weeks prior to the birth. she is very personable and was such a pleasure to work with. my husband and i were a little leery about having someone we didn't know capturing such an intimate experience. but when i initially spoke to her on the phone i knew she was the right person for the job and meeting her in person before the birth to go over the process put me and my husband totally at ease. marcie documented every emotion of the labor and delivery process. priceless looks exchanged between me and my husband. the support of our doula. joy, exhaustion, pain, setback, perseverance, accomplishment. our daughter crowning and being delivered from my body and placed onto my chest, something i had not had the privilege of experiencing during my first birth. i will forever treasure these moments marcie so beautifully captured that make up my redeeming vbac experience. our maternity photos were taken at the botanical gardens in ann arbor. i love outdoor photos but didn't think they were possible in january in michigan. but marcie informed me the impossible was definitely possible! the greenhouse of the gardens was like a balmy bit of florida in the middle of winter. marcie made this 36 week pregnant mama feeling like a whale look like a goddess! i can't recommend marcie highly enough. i loved working with her and plan to continue to do so in the future.
