We'd interviewed a few other photography outfits and had some minor reservations with the other companies. Fortunately, we were pointed to Ignited by another couple being married at St. Johns Inn (Plymouth, MI) in passing. I'm beyond impressed with their professionalism and drive to capture every special moment of our day. They were prompt to the job and eager to get started right when I walked into the church. The hustle and bustle of wedding day gets very complex between the guys and gals. Having a man and women team makes all the difference in the world to ensure that every moment is captured between the bride/groom before they see each other. Those moments tell a story in and of themselves and I'm so glad that with this dynamic couple those memories are permanently captured. More importantly, this team blended right in with our family and friends at the church and reception. They achieved my (exhaustive) list of family photo requests. They were very pleasant and organized and worked well with the all of the children at our reception. They took charge at the right moments and had a creative eye for all sorts of neat photos (both inside and outside). At the reception, they actually had an iPAD loaded with some of our church photos--what a sweet surprise! Did I mention Heather is too, handy? She had a fix for everything we forgot (e.g. pretty dress hanger, static guard, button loop, etc.)! Ultimately, they were way EASY to work with, responsive to inquiries, fair and reasonable price for services, and had a straight forward/common language contract. I would hire this team again in a HEARTBEAT and would highly recommend this team to any other couple preparing for their wedding day hoping to capture every special moment.

My oldest child is 16 and I dragged her to every portrait studio under the sun and was always disappointed with the photos: they looked like school pictures each and every time. Then we met Marla through one of her children. We met her at a park for photos of our three children and I have never witnessed someone so at ease with her clients, surroundings, and camera. When we met her in her studio to review the photos she had taken, we had such a hard time choosing which pictures to order: they were all beautiful and captured our children's personalities perfectly. We ordered more photos than we expected going in, but it was just so difficult to decide. She is always so gracious with sending us a few extra prints too, which says something about her customer service. I get the feeling that she looks at all of her clients as family members and gives her best every time. We had her take photos of the entire family a few years later and she continues to capture our children perfectly in photos. She is very flexible and accomodating with her time and camera. I have photos from both sessions hanging in a few rooms in our home and countless friends and acquaintances have remarked on the beautiful photos on our walls. These are all the work of Marla.
