Pictures are of poor quality and very amateur. It clear to me they hire inexperienced people for the job.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was by far the worst experience I've had with a photography company. The background design for our photos was cluttered, distracting, and completely took the focus away from the kids. The word "foul" was prominently displayed, there was an awkward arrow-like shape pointing at my child's lower body, and the netting on the floor only added to the mess. The individual and group photos were equally bad. When I reached out to Ideal Photos to express my concerns, I was met with complete unwillingness to find a resolution. While they offered to refund my prints, they refused to refund the $50 for a digital image--an image I won't be using because of how poorly it was designed. Despite the fact that I hadn't even downloaded it (due to their own pop-up warning that downloading means accepting the image), they insisted that I "received" it and therefore would not refund my money. Most professional photographers are willing to work with customers when concerns are valid. Instead, Ideal Photos was dismissive and unhelpful. After this experience, I checked Yelp and, unsurprisingly, found many other reviews with similar complaints. If you're looking for quality photos and good customer service, look elsewhere. read more

If I could give this company NEGATIVE stars I would do it. One star? FAR TOO GENEROUS. They are the photographers that are used for Pom competitions and they are so horrible. Incredibly expensive and very disorganized. If it were just that it wouldn't be so bad, but they are also slow and mean. We ordered pictures at the event and they told us 20 minutes, 30 minutes later not done. 45 minutes later not done. I ask if they could please check on the status; and they said no. One hour later. Not done. I ask again could you please check. They said no. One and a half hours later, I asked if they could check still no. Two hours later: they are lost. Finally someone checked and had to find the form to print them. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. ONE OF THE MOST RUDE AND OVER PRICED PLACES IVE EVER HAD TO ENCOUNTER. read more

Poor quality! iDEAL charged a photographer fee per child, then an expensive package that only included one shot and a 3x5 team photo. The prints had more decoration and border than actual picture and they want an additional $50 for the electronic image. We would have been better off with a grandmother taking the pictures with a flip phone. Don't use them! read more

If zero stars was an option, that would be great. The staff is rude as can be! All I wanted to do was see if my daughters pictures looked decent. And because I wouldn't put my phone number in their system, and I voiced my opinion of the ridiculous pricing, I was told "if I'm not gonna login or purchase photos, I don't need to be taking up a monitor". Feel like suing for taking my daughters photos and not allowing me to view them. Seems outrageous and rude. Then to tell my husband I don't need to treat people like that..like what?! This company is TERRIBLE. As if getting suckerd into ordering these over priced, mediocre pictures every baseball season isn't bad enough- their customer service is the biggest joke ever. They are rude, unorganized and take zero accountability for their screw ups. This company is terrible. Our team photo has some other school stadium in the background occupying 3/4 of the photo and the football team is superimposed on the stands so small I cannot even make out a face with a magnifying glass. Individual photos are terrible as well. Many players heads were cut off in individual photos. Waste of money and time. read more

Horrible customer service. Our school used them to do our football team photos. Several of us received our team photo with our player's head cut off. After reaching out to iDEAL, they stated "We are aware of the issue and are currently working with the lab to get that corrected and reprints for all that are affected." After a month of waiting, I got back in touch with them and was told I would not receive my corrected photo until I mail back the messed up one. Since this picture will need to be thrown away, due to the head being cut off, I emailed a snapshot of it to iDEAL and asked them if it was necessary for me to mail it back since it is unusable? I was told that they would not replace it until the messed-up photo was returned to them and that if I didn't want to mail it back, I could drop it off at their office, which is an hour drive one way. Either way, I would have to pay out of pocket to get them to correct their admitted mistake. I hope our school never uses this company again. Not only was their customer service horrible but they are also lacking in quality control. They sent out several of these team photos, to several parents, with the same messed up graphics issue. This was so noticeable that the problem should've been caught before they were delivered to us. They made us jump through hoops just to get them to correct their own mistake. read more

Ideal Photos has been our league's photographers for many years. They a very organized photo for our league. They have all teams in and out quickly and are great to work with when needing to squeeze teams in. I highly recommend them. When a problem occurred with their lab, they were quicky to notify us and compensated families with extra pictures. read more

I will never order photos through Ideal Photos again. I got some for my daughters' dance pictures- what a botch job. I would've done a better job, having no experience with photography myself. Fast forward 6 months, I didn't realize the company for my daughter's fall sport was the same company. I NEVER would have paid for the overpriced, terrible quality photos had I realized. My daughter wasn't posed, looking, adjusted to be in the group photo at all. I understand with children it won't be perfect, but the picture literally looks like she was walking around and just happened to sit down in their frame while they were snapping the picture. Her individual picture looked nothing like their advertisement for individual shots. The back ground is horribly photoshopped and she's squinting because again- they don't know what they're doing. If you cannot handle taking pictures of children, you shouldn't be accepting jobs with a bunch of children. Five different professional photographers were appalled by the lighting and the squinting in the picture and all the woman had to say was "we don't send 5 assistants to hold 5 different reflectors for large groups. This lighting is perfectly fine." A job worth doing is a job worth not half-assing. Don't hire this company, EVER. This company is horrible from their customer service down to their overpriced crappy photos. 1st I ordered my photos online like I did last year. I went with the "cheapest" package at $30 (including $5 shipping charge) which was a 5x7 of my son, 5×7 of the team and 4 wallets. My husband took my son to do photos since he coached this year. When he came home he said that because he was a coach that basically the photos I paid for plus a pic of him and my son were free due to him being a coach. I'm not sure if our league failed to inform us this or what. I then drove back to the field since the company was still there and talked to someone and they told me it wouldn't be a problem getting a refund if I called the office the next day. I called the office the next day and was told I would not be able to get a refund and my ONLY option was to get a 8x10 picture...THAT I DID NOT EVEN WANT! Fast forward to today when the pictures came in the mail. The shadows on these picture are horrible! The picture of my husband and son has the silhouette of the whole camera man in it, partially covering my husband. I'M NOT GONNA DISPLAY THAT PICTURE ! DO THEY NOT KNOW WHERE TO POSITION PEOPLE WITH THE SUN, EDIT PICTURES, PREVIEW THEM , ETC?!?!? IF THEY EVER DO MY SON'S FUTURE SPORTING EVENTS I WILL SAVE THE MONEY AND DO THEM MYSELF! read more

For years I have been going to my daughters' events and every year it seems as if this company is the photographer used. At the event it is very difficult to in front of a monitor to view the photos due to the large number of people, however, just about every year, I have been able to wait to view them and then order. This year was a different story. Due to a family emergency, I was not able to stay and wait to view the pictures, and was hoping to view them online... sadly, there is no online viewing. I then figured I could take advantage of the action photos on the CD... strike two, you have to buy them as a group ONLY (not going to happen with our group since we have two sets of twins and understandably, both moms do not want or need, two discs of the same pictures. My last shot was the pictures taken in front of the green screen... strike three... only the team photo could be ordered. $50 for the photo and frame, $12 for shipping.. ok, I could do that, but then a $10 post-event fee per picture. Personally, I would think that doing business for this long, some basics things, view pics online, order after the fact, etc., would be a given, along with some accommodations for certain things (i.e. Twins). It really is a bummer since this was one of my girls' 8th and last year. The ONLY reason I gave two stars instead of one is because of the quality of the photos I have received in the past at these events from this vendor. I know plenty of parents in this league have one or more of these issues, and I hope we are able to get a different vendor as we move forward. read more

Okay now that I see this place has a 1.4 review rate I feel a lot better. This explains the lack of professionalism this company has. Maybe they are cheap and that is why our baseball team used them... I am not sure. We showed up for baseball pictures, I asked the guy how do I order a shot with my husband who is the coach and my child. Now mind you he coaches two teams one with my youngest son and the shetland team with my daughter. The guy says to me oh you get a free 5X7 shot of your husband and your child since he is the coach. They handed me two pieces of paper one for the 5X7 of my sons team that was already filled out minus my address. The second for the Shetland team that was already filled out minus my address. Now this was great news I was not even aware that they were doing that. I took both pieces of paper filled out the packages I wanted for both of my children and took the pictures. NO PROBLEMS. Two days later I receive a call from a girl named Maddy. She is telling me they are not printing both shots of my husband with my two different children on two different teams. I am taken back... What do you mean.... First of all I was told by their employees that we got these pictures... they handed us the papers that gave us these pictures..... Maddy was rude and unwilling to even listen to me questioning why I am being told that they are going back on what THEIR employees said. I asked for her manager she said I needed to call the same number she called me on to speak to her. I call back... no one answers. I go online and write a complaint and request someone please call me. Shawna emails me... she is worse than Madddy. She is straight up telling me she DOES NOT care what her employees said she is not giving us both pictures. At this point its not about the $15 it is about the lack of professionalism and accountability this company is having for their word. I asked her to please have a manager call me.. she emails me and tells me that because of my choice of language no one will be calling me.... I SWEAR ON MY LIFE I did not use any sort of language with Maddy or Shawna. Now I am really confused by this company. Is this even a legit company... or is this being ran out of someones basement. At this point I can not believe the conversation I have had with Maddy and now Shawna via email. I requested my money back and NO pictures. I WILL NEVER have any pictures taken by this company ever again. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who is thinking of using them look at these reviews and believe the reviews you are reading. Photos are decent, but customer service is not. I was told on day of pictures, that I would be refunded a double shipping charge for my two children because for families there is only one shipping charge per household. I went ahead and paid for my pictures online knowing that I would be refunded the second shipping charge for my second child rather than filling out a paper order form. When I called in to get the refund, they wouldn't give it to me and said I would have had to fill out paperwork at the tent and process my order that way rather than online. This is not the information the employee gave me at the tent on picture day, as I would have just filled out the paperwork rather than fiddling with the online order. Keep in mind, the refund was only $5. There was no resolve to fix the miscommunication the employee gave me on day of pictures, so I as the customer ended up having to pay twice for shipping. Not that $5 is a lot, but the company did nothing to fix the wrong information an employee gave. It could have been easy just to refund the second fee back to my card for the misinformation, but rather they decided $5 in their pockets was more than keeping their word and making a customer happy. Not pleased, will not be using this company again. If you're looking for a picture company with customer service, stay away from IDEAL photos. TSS photography is a much better choice. read more

Based on her confirmation, we did not contract with any other vendors in her field to make sure she had all sales for pictures. She was giving a space in full vision of all patrons for everyone's benefit. "The Queen of Sheba" came in and just couldn't stand her space." She started to tell and bully other vendors to pack up and move. She was advised of her contractual commitments. She left and never arrived for the event. I ordered pictures from them because they were contracted though the basketball league. I received my daughters 2 weeks later the quality was a c grade at the most. And the amount for the price was low. I spent 24 dollars and received 8 pictures. I still have not received my sons pictures the league is over and it's been 6 weeks. Now they call and say it's my fault , how I received her pictures but not his and its been 6 weeks to come up with its my fault. I don't think so. Do not use this company read more

They leave big blank boxes at the bottom of their photos and they look absolutely ridiculous! They prefer you order online, which does not include information needed for pictures, and they will not change your orders to make them look right. My sports league used them before and they were prettey decent, but this year they are awful. Poor picture quality and terrible customer service. They would not fix my city name on top of my son's team picture, due to a clerical error made on the contract. Shame on the sales rep not to review and ask if the name was correct, since I am sure that they knew the name of our league going in. I will never order pictures from them again.
