From the moment we checked in, we were greeted by friendly faces and made us feel welcomed. And after a 10 hour flight and having to wait for our car service it was greatly appreciated. They offered to take our bags to our room which was nice too. The hotel is stunning as from the front it looked small as the elevators to the rooms is right there to the right when you enter but when you turn to the left where check in is, it opens up to grandeur. It felt like we were in a movie. Maybe because I watched Crazy Rich Asians on the plane. Haha but it is really nice and open. There was also a restaurant that we didn't have a chance to eat at but maybe when we come back from Melbourne. After we checked in and went to our room, the bellman was telling us things about the hotel. I swear he looks like the guy on the hotel page on the TV. In fact I'm sure of it. He is a wealth of knowledge and very friendly. They have a rooftop bar that has a nice view of the city. The pool is more like. Lap pool type which is fine by us. You can grab towels over there as well. So grab a drink, watch the sunset and soak it all in. The rooms are big. The air-conditioning works really well. There is no drips or slow draining water. We had a walk in shower and it was big. So big you could throw a small party in it. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and we didn't hear any street noise at all either. Only downer but might have been good is that our windows were frosted so we couldn't see out. But hey who cares as people can't see in either. You know how most hotels use the cheapest soaps, shampoo and conditioners? I know you do. This hotel has and I can't believe I'm writing about it but they use really good stuff here. The soap doesn't dry your hands out and the shampoo and conditioner is awesome. They even have slippers and bathrobes. There is a mini fridge and safe which we used. The hotel is a short 8-10 minute walk to Central Rail Station. Very nice and convenient place, easily 5 stars.

I'd walked past the entrance prior to checking in but didn't pay it any notice as it is hidden under construction awning. However, do not judge a book by its cover, because the lobby and foyer is gorgeous and expansive. I also didn't realize how popular the rooftop bar of this hotel (Level 7) was! I wish I had known sooner, because I would have definitely spent more time checking out the hotel amenities rather than napping in my room. My room was decent sized. The person who checked me in claimed that they had upgraded me to a larger room..not sure how much smaller the rooms could get to be honest. There was a fancy nespresso machine in the room along with the usual amenities, and some pretty nice toiletries. My only gripe was that my toilet was literally pulling the wall down with it - I'm pretty sure a heavier person will take it down with them one day.. The gym is tiny and in the basement, but there is a fridge full of water bottles for patrons.

She came to tell the chefs and said 10-15' for cooking time, I don't mind but I found its funny that the chef forget the component of main dish. Chef came and apologies while he brought the bowl of ribs over. I said no biggie shit happened when you are rushing for break time. Apparently the work doesn't commence until 8am but on both mornings I was woken up by the sounds of work trucks coming on site a lot earlier than this! Unpleasant. If you're a deep sleeper and don't mind having to drive in and out of a construction zone when parking your car then you'll be happy here. If not, I advise you to avoid the Parkroyal until mid 2016 when the renos are due to be complete.

Everyone is so nice and friendly and trying to help make your stay better in every way. Leti (spelling??) is an absolute doll and that hotel is lucky to have her. What got us here? Hearing about the FREE mini bar ( no liquor. But still.) And free snacks in your room. How amazing! The rooms are adorable and each one is unique. The beds? amazing. All in all, I wish there was one of these in every city and I could never stay anywhere else ever again.

The room was spacious and quite contemporary in its decor. We had a Hyde Park view, and there is a small side sitting area in the room across from the windows. The standard TV channels are available, although there are no streaming apps such as Netflix on the TV as other hotels are offering. The bathroom is large and features the usual amenities as well as a shower and separate bathtub. The real highlight is the amazing Sheraton club lounge on the 21st floor if you've booked a club level room. It is a large lounge with modern contemporary decor and many different types of seating. The breakfast buffet in the lounge is expansive and featured several hot dishes and numerous cold dishes and pastries. The evening appetizer and cocktail service in the lounge is not to be missed. Complimentary beer, wine, sparkling wine, and cocktails plus innumerable hot and cold appetizer choices. A selection of desserts is available as well. The food choices changed each evening, but there were some repeats. You could really make this dinner if you wanted to. The breakfast options were generally the same each morning but were good. Overall this is a great hotel in a great location, and the club lounge is not to be missed!
