After looking at all of their portfolios we fell in love with the way Greg's photos looked. Ironically we found out that he photographed my planners wedding so we knew he would be amazing! We met up with Greg to sign the contract and look through his albums and we felt so comfortable talking with him. He's so sweet and kind...we knew we picked the right photographer. He ruined my…read moresisters wedding photos and literally single handed held up the entire day from all of the completely unnecessary photos he felt compelled to shoot. Had he not held up the wedding party, the ceremony would have started on time. ( now I know why he told us he doesn't get along with wedding planners...) It's because he doesn't have a clue as to what matters and what needs to be done as far as photos... Had the ceremony started on time, we would have had more time to do all of the things we wanted to do that evening. That being said, we didn't realize why we had so little time until the end of the night and the days following when we got to chat about the events... My sister was so excited to get her pictures... that is until she got the actual email... can you say horrible? Talk about quite literally ruining your wedding... After all of the photos he took, we all for sure thought he would have got things that were important... family, husband with mom, wife with her dad, etc. Nope. not one picture of anything that actually mattered to all of us was taken... but instead, photos of what looks like the camera at an angle ( which by the way, over 90% of the photos were taken at an angle) of very random things. Some of the photos were not edited at all ( or they were and it only goes to show how little Chris knows about photography). My sisters husband asked for Chris to organize the photos; so they could pick out the ones they would have cropped and major edit work done to... that's when Chris showed us all just how unprofessional he really is... Now, you would think that your upset customers who are not happy with your finished product should be spoke to kindly and probably with a little tact...Not, Chris is not only unapologetic for how badly the photos have come out, but is now making threats to not give any of the proofs to the family at all. I highly suggest using another photographer if you want your memories to be professionally captured. Update Not only did my sister win her court case, Chris and his rude wife hired a lawyer and appealed the case...only for another judge to side with my sister and her husband!! I still have not to this day never printed a single photo! We ended up re-shooting a year later with someone else. I sat down to finally print my wedding book tonight, and absolutely awful. Never received any edited photos. Hi Eric- So I'm a bit unhappy with the final pictures. I feel there was NO attention to detail taken. The pictures in the bridal suite have a big stinking AC in the background. I'm literally in a couture gown in front of an AC unit. I don't care to print most of the photos taken there. It would have been had the ac unit been photo shopped out, or they tried another location to shoot the dress. Im apalled that the grooms photos were taken on the balcony with the ac unit in the background, and in the hallway of the hotel, the railing in the hallway is so cringy (it screams motel 6)!! And not to mention the miscellaneous peoples in the background. There was so many better places on the property that these photos could have been taken. Finally, I wish your photographers would have reviewed their cameras a little closer, my daughter one of the flower girl did not make one pretty smile. All sorts of weird faces and expressions from her (not your guys fault) but it would have been nice had she or I been cued to smile pretty etc. I don't even have one nice photo. I mean you guys are the professionals. One of my bridesmaids there is only two pictures with and she looks freakish in both. Again how about looking at the camera, and Making sure you got a good shot. Lastly, most of the photos that I do like from the beach have people in the background. Can this be photoshopped? I literally at this point don't even have one photo that I would like to print and hang. Really don't feel like I got any images like the ones on your website. I'm really bummed as there are no do-overs, at least with my whole wedding party. I will be redoing photos with my husband and daughters at some point. Hopefully, we will then finally have the photos I had hoped for. I hope you take this criticism constructively back to your team. The photography and style seamed professional but it was the lack of attention to detail that really led to poor photos in our opinion. I would hate for any other bride to feel so disappointed like myself.

We tried to call both Nathan and Amy (his wife) many times to get update on the video but they never pickup. We hired Chris almost right after signing our venue contract in July 2016 because we knew Chris has photographed so many weddings there and he would know all the good spots to take pictures at!! We are not at all disappointed. Chris was great to work with and was very detailed in his timeline of events for the day of our wedding which was fantastic because I am very detail oriented. Another bonus was that we were able to add our photography package right to our venue package at Hotel Laguna so this made things easier for us payment wise. Chris recommended a videographer to work with as well so please, do not hesitate to reach out to your photographer for recommendations because we are so happy that we did!! We have not received back our video yet but I am sure it will turn out wonderfully. Chris is super easy to work with, fun, laid back and very professional. We had a great time taking pictures with him at our wedding. We also had our pictures back very quickly (wedding on 09/09, photos ready on 09/25). (We also got no photos of the dress, shoes, rings, etc) *He wasn't prepared! - He had no idea where to set us up for photos so the entire wedding party was following him around the resort like a herd of cattle. He said he had worked at the Surf & Sand before but that was hard to believe by the way our wedding day unfolded. Total Chaos! *His timing was horrible! - He waiting until after our evening wedding to take our group wedding party pictures. He definitely didn't account for the lighting because the sun was set and all of the picture of our wedding party came out dark! *Unprofessional! - If our wedding day experience wasn't bad enough, when our wedding photo book arrived it was damaged! We let his know the book came damaged and he said he would replace it but never did!!! Whatever you do, do NOT use Darnall Photography for your wedding day! ...You might regret it, just like we do.
