The receptionist took my file placed it in the hopper for me to be seen and told me to wait to be called. I told her that I had a balance of $84. I explained that I could pay the today;'s charges but not the past balance. She called and verified that that was OK. She said the $84 was not in collections but I would have to pay it before my next visit. I said OK. I asked her what todays balance would be? I assumed that it would be the same as my last visit. She put my file aside and kept me waiting for 20 minutes while she checked and helped other customers. She finally got back to me. And said that now I had to pay the the $84 plus the $60. I said 20 minutes ago you told me that I only had to pay todays balance. She said that had changed and I now had to pay it all. If she did not want to see me with a past due balance... I completely understand. But keeping me there 20 minutes and then changing your/her mind was not right.

My insurance has changed and I needed to find a dermatologist that was on my plan. I asked around and found a few reviews, but nothing real definitive. I really don't like leaving my old dermatologist as he and his staff are the best that I've experienced, but it had to be done. From the reviews, I made an appointment with Dr. Pritzker. The staff were polite and efficient. There was some delay that normally bothers me, but this was my first appointment so there were forms and the introduction to everyone and explanation so some delay is understandable. I didn't meet the PA or all of the staff, but wow, I'm impressed! The doctor asked a lot of questions, was fine when my cell rang (I didn't answer) and even addressed some issues like that I wanted to get my shingles shot, but the medication that I'm on weakens my immune system. I haven't been on that medicine for a couple of weeks so Dr. P is checking to see if I can get it now and ensuring it before. This is great news as my mom and one sister have already suffered from shingles. Dr. P or his staff were excellent! Billing: I don't know as I've met my deductible, but the fact that the specialist discussed it with me is a great sign. Can you imagine a patient that gets to understand his/her own health concerns, resolutions and payments?

I have been a patient at Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic since 2010 and, over the years, have been…read moreseen by several PA providers due to provider rotation between locations. Until recently, my experiences have been consistently positive. I have always felt heard, respected, and well cared for. I've been dealing with a recurring cyst/boil on my upper left shoulder for about 10 years. In December 2024, I saw PA Beatriz Bidgood in the Savannah office while in significant pain. She provided excellent care, scheduled a follow-up, and later confirmed that the cyst sac had come out and that the area would heal from the inside out. However, toward the end of December 2025, I began experiencing malodorous drainage from the previously healed site. Even on days without drainage, there was still a concerning odor. I scheduled appointments with Carlie Daniels on January 6th and January 20th. During those visits, she acknowledged the odor and suggested the cyst sac might still be present, despite not feeling anything on examination. I shared that I had been told the sac had already been removed, but she recommended I see a plastic surgeon to get my shoulder cut opened. Following that recommendation, I underwent surgery on March 6th with Dr. Dascomb. The next day, he informed me that there was no cyst sac present and nothing was removed. Three weeks post-op, I began experiencing the same drainage and malodorous smell from the incision site. So I scheduled a post op follow up and was seen yesterday. At my follow-up visit with Carlie in the Pooler office, I left extremely disappointed. My husband and I were interrupted several times by Carlie while trying to explain ongoing concerns. I felt dismissed, discarded and disrespected. At one point, the concern about the odor (which I associate with possible infection) was mocked by Carlie doing air quotes with her fingers. She told us that she could not help me. I was advised to return to my primary care provider, despite my primary being the one who referred me to dermatology in the first place. This has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I now have a significant $2,000 medical bill at the plastic surgeon's office and have gone through a painful surgical recovery without resolution of the issue. I believe strongly in this practice based on my long history here, but this experience was not in line with the standard of care I have come to expect. While I will continue with Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic, I will not schedule with Carlie Daniels again. I understand that she's young and extremely inexperienced in her field, but it blew my mind that she didn't even think to consider having me see Dr. Smith and/or one of her colleagues who may have more experience with cysts than she does. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as patients trust this clinic for thoughtful, thorough, and compassionate care.
