This dermatologist has awful post-care procedures and the customer support staff are terrible. The office staff sent my wife, who doesn't speak English well, straight to voicemail after she asked a question about how to get her skin cream. The manager lied to me on the phone after making up some half-cooked excuse and then hung up on me. If I was treating her poorly that would be one thing, but I was respectful and just asked questions on how to get the cream since I have zero clue. Despite my pleasantness, it sounded like everyone in the office eats too many bear claws that inflame their poor attitudes. Frankly, I wouldn't go back here even if you paid me to. I will be filing complaints with GCHB and BBB. read more

I have been a patient of this location for years and have not had any issues except that they specifically require you to come back for follow up every 3 months and they finally allowed me to return every 6 months or they will not fill my prescription. Otherwise the PA Blaire is very helpful and kind, with her help I have been able to clear up my adult acne and any other random skin issues that come up. read more

Today, 7/16/25, I had an appointment scheduled at the Pooler office. I went to the office on 6/12/25 to pick-up new patient paperwork so I could fill it out and return it well before my scheduled appointment. That day I also filled out a records release form so the office would have plenty of time to get my records from my previous dermatologist. When I arrived today I was asked to fill out new patient paperwork. I declined. I explained that I had already been to the office on 6/12, filled out a records release form, got the new patient paperwork, took that paperwork home to complete, and returned it to the office before the end of June. Overall I waited 30 minutes for the woman behind the desk to locate the paperwork and call the office manager. Ultimately, the paperwork was never located. The only paperwork in my file was the records release form I had filled out on 6/12. (They never even requested my records from my previous dermatologist. And I know that because I called my previous dermatologist this afternoon after I got home.) I was then told that if I did not fill out new paperwork, I would not be seen. I replied that I was ok with that and I would contact my insurance company to request a new provider. Which I did immediately. I'm sure that other people would have gone ahead and filled out new paperwork but I absolutely was not going to do it. I took time out of my busy schedule and used my gas to stop by the office ahead of time (not once, but twice) so that everyone could be prepared for today's appointment. Today was just an extension of my wasted time and fuel. I can make no comment about the medical services provided at this location but their front office management (procedures/organization)(NOT a person) seems to be lacking. read more

Thought I'd be seen by the dermatologist, but to my dismay was seen by her PA. I was there for hair loss. I informed her of pervious treatments and how they impacted me. Despite my warnings she prescribed the same treatment but told me that I could get my money back in the event they did not work. I spent upwards $150. I tried , but it did not work. I went back to the office to get a refund, and was told I couldn't get one. I was sent to the central office downtown, Savannah whete I was accused of fabricating the details of the incident and was given only $55 back. I asked to speak to Dr. Gaughf but was not given an appt. This was a terrible experience. read more

I am providing the lowest review possible for several reasons: 1. you very likely will never see Dr. Gauhf, you will be seen only by her staff 2. the office employees/staff are not properly trained or monitored 3. The office committed malpractice by unnecessarily and permanently scaring my face. 4. The offices' response was neglectful at best and Dr. Gaughf made very little effort to ensure the malpractice has been addressed 5. Dr. Gaughf does not seem to be compassionate or kind. Since moving to Savannah and having had this bad experience with her office, I have heard many negative stories in the community. I am very disappointed I ever stepped foot in her office. I wish I knew this before I ever entered her practice and office. Be warned, stay away. read more

Oh my! And, Oh my in a good way. So, I went to visit with Dr. Gaughf for some skin care products for my teenage daughter. However, I walked out fully serviced. Now how did that happen? No it wasn't anything close to an up-sale, but more like the ladies here knew their stuff! Ms. Janice is your GIRL! She went over each skin care product and what would work best for my daughter's teenage skin trauma... lol. I went into speaking more about MY skin and tried to explain what I needed without really knowing specifically what I needed. Well, I'll tell you, I am pleased and feel better already. Although, the office of Dr. Gaughf is busy; having such a high volume of patients coming in to be serviced - Janice kept a smile on her face and treated me like I was the only client/patient for the day. Where do you find service like that besides Chick-fil-A? I'm so glad that my first contact was with her. If you're looking for a place to go for skin care/cosmetic services please go visit Dr. Gaughf's offices. You will not be disappointed. Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure you'll be pleased. There is absolutely nothing good to say about this business! So, let me tell you my story: I went to my doctor, Dr. Leslie Sizemore in Pooler, with what She diagnosed as Rosacea. Dr. Sizemore referred me to Gaughf Dermatology. I went to the appointment and while sitting in the waiting area I could smell this very chemical smell. It bothered me so much that if I hadn't waited 6 weeks for this appointment I would have left then. In retrospect, how I wish I would have! I was eventually called in and was seen by a physician's assistant. She said that Dr. Sizemore was wrong in her diagnosis. And diagnosed me as having acne. She prescribed me about $200 worth of Benzoyl Peroxide. It didn't work because it turns that I had neither Rosacea nor acne. I have an over population of facial mites! I paid my bill before leaving their office. About a month later I received another bill. I called their office to ask the reason for this and I can't reach anyone. And that chemical smell - soon after leaving their office I got a serious headache which lead to vomiting! How's that for adding insult to injury! read more

I booked a new patient appt and was able to get in within a month, which is rare, even during the current health crisis. I did my review stalking and found some not so promising reviews on different platforms, but decided I would form my own opinion. All my phone calls with them have been pleasant. I went in for a preventative appt, to check my whole pale body for anything concerning. I printed and filled out new patient paperwork from their website prior to my appt which was very convenient! I went to the Pooler location, great parking setup, and I was greeted very nicely by the lady at the front desk, I think her name was Janet. (I could be totally wrong though) She was personable and we had a nice little chat, which made me feel comfortable on arrival. I waited less than 10 mins and was ushered to the back by nice nurse, who made plenty of notes as I went over my concerns. For this visit, I saw Amy, one of the PAs, she was so sweet in discussing all my skin worries. She did a very thorough check of my skin and pointed out things to pay attention to and what I could do help some of the latest bumps that had appeared. They informed me of the cost of the visit and treatment prior to administering steroid shots. I felt very comfortable, understood, and was thankful for the solutions they provided. We discussed basic skin care routine to slow my wrinkle fears and treatment for my concerns. I appreciate that Botox was not an option that was forced on me, I have been to other offices that push Botox as a solution and I don't love that approach. I have contacted Gaughf Dermatology to inquire about their prices and procedures. I ended up with an appointment the next day. I could not believe how fast they could get me in comparing to other dermatologists. When I showed up at my appointment there was no waiting time. Dr. Claudia Gaughf did a complete evaluation and procedure all at one time in a very pleasant and efficient manner at a very reasonable price. I was very impressed by the physician and her staff.
