Good meaning with local produce finely cooked and warm service. You can't go to Italy and not demand that. Well, this "Locanda" fits the description. As an aside, remember this: a hotel is a place where you go sleep that may have something to eat. A Locanda is a place where you go eat that does have somewhere to sleep. I didn't try one of their five rooms but the restaurant was outstanding. Silvia is a fine scout of unique local produce, carefully picking meats (coniglio in porchetta) and fish (the anguilla from the Lake Trasimeno nearby is a must)... Her husband is a fine sommelier and maintains a carte of the best local and organic wines (note that those three adjectives seldom go hand in hand). They do things with their heart here and it's good for your soul and palate. Excellent place.

Because I could barely understand what the menu said I just picked a random pizza and hoped for the best. The best is exactly what I got. It tasted so so fresh, the crust was light, the olive oil was stupendous, the cheese and meat incredible. I couldn't find a pizza anywhere else like in in my travels and I will be going back to Perugia just to stop by here again.
