Love this store! For such a small store it carries everything you need! My only complaint is the checkout. The cashiers are the most unfriendly people. I feel I'm so nice and friendly when I go in there and I don't even get a crack of a smile. I've never seen someone who looks like they hate their job so much. This was the only market we found in Cortona that carried a larger variety of food and products. While we found it perfectly supplied for such a small store, we thought the employees - especially the women behind the bread counter, were very unpleasant. In fact, we were always afraid of going in and dealing with such sour individuals. If we had rented a car, we probably would have made the trip down to Conad in Camucia during our 2 week stay in Cortona. read more

This market was one we visited almost daily when staying a few months in Cortona! Signor Molesini and his family and staff took good care of us during our visit. They would make sure we got the correct ingredient we needed for cooking and baking which, at times, could be confusing wen you don't speak Italian. Don't touch they produce - they will help you! Contrary to Miss CA, I found the women behind the 'deli' counter to be very friendly, greeting me when I came in and telling me just to ask them if I couldn't find anything. The lady at the check-out was equally helpful even though I was clearly struggling with my Italian. The next day, presumably the husband of the woman at the check-out, when my shopping came to 10,08 euros, he was so sweet waving off the 8 centesimi, which was a lovely gesture and done in such a friendly, funny way.
