My Nacho simply sucked. chips were stale, they used chilli con caso sauce and not melted chesse, the guac had no tast, and the chillie just slap on top was cold. I'll start by saying service was great, but the food was horrible. The nachos were reminiscent of 7-11 nachos, but not as good. That's saying ALOT. The burgers tasted like frozen reheated trash. The half rack rib meal ... where do I start... the amount of meat on that dried out minuscule rack amounted to what should have come off ONE rib and it was accompanied by less than a handful of fries that was tossed on the plate in a very scattered fashion. Gator bites or half cooked rubber bands? There was a constant drip coming from the ceiling which got us wet the entire meal. The bathroom smelled like raw sewage. I wanted to love this place and was very disappointed . I took my leftovers bc I paid for it and I'm getting my moneys worth even if it was an awful meal. I'm probably going to regret that considering my stomach is already upset from the little bit I did eat. Ordered a burger and wingers take out. Get home and the burger is raw. Like not underdone, RAW. The wingers have no sauce and are just dry pieces of plain chicken. Return to store to get my money back and manager complied, but did nothing to rectify the situation and keep a customer. Example: Gift Card Tipped $5, so it costed me money to have to drive back and forth from the restaurant and waste my time. Used to go to the one in Orlando all the time and it was great, everytime I have been to this location something has been wrong and they lost a customer. The food was semi-average, their jalapeño mozzarella sticks were really good. The whole experience was ruined by their customer service or the lack of. It started with them bringing the wrong food, and after another 20 minutes wait they brought an incomplete order. Also, I had placed a to-go order, which never came!! We had a $100 gift card to use and they couldn't figure out how to use it, and even after 30 minutes of them trying..the management were at lost. Meanwhile, the waiter was walking around with our credit cards to pay the rest. He held on to our credit cards for 30 minutes! The incompetent management couldn't figure out how to use the gift card, so they made us pay the entire bill and just asked us to come back to eat another time and try to use the gift card then. We usually go to Gators on Wednesday for a light meal and thier Trivia night. To be honest the food is usually good. Remember this is bar food with a fairly large menu. We ever have a problem we just call our waitress and everything is rectified without calling a manager. All the waitresses are good and they always check on you. The following is a GOD BLESS for them: Last Wednesday while eating, my wife saw a young man come in who was obviously "homeless." He was leaning on the wall looking at the hostess desk. My wife said go see if he is hungry and if yes, tell the hostess we will pay for it. Went with family on the evening of 19 January before heading to Cocoa to watch the launch. While my house is within a half mile of the restaurant we'd never been there. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food. The full rack of ribs was excellent and reasonably priced. Son-in-law had fish and chips which was amazing. Daughter had a sandwich she loved and my wife had some wings. Edited to add: We had the gator appetizers and it was magnificent! We sat outside on the patio. Came in yesterday for lunch. We sat at the bar. The bartender was pretty friendly. We ordered burgers medium came back super extra done. They were super-thin patties. Apparently the lunch special is not the normal burger. It was a frozen preformed patty - yuck. No wonder it was over cooked. We didn't know about that until after we started eating. Apparently the burger on the regular menu is much better. I would've liked to have known about. I would have forgone the cheap and gone with the good. It's good pub food excepting the burgers. The burgers at the Wendy's next door would be a better bet. We've been half a dozen times now between the week it opened and a couple weeks ago. The service has gotten progressively worse. When it open the traveling trainers were there and service was stellar. The last time, and the last time we'll ever go back, we sat for close to fifteen minutes without seeing a server. It was late afternoon and not particularly busy but it appeared the wait staff and the manager who wandered by had things other than customers to worry about. I've been going to the Melbourne location regularly on Sundays for football. We've noticed a change in servers and a decline in the food quality. Tonight the food I ordered was prepared incorrectly and had to be remade and then I was charged for 2 dinners. The server and the young manager have zero people skills and are completely clueless. Not sure where to start but here goes. Daughter and boyfriend drove up from Orlando for a evening with Mom and Dad. I made the recommendation to try Gator Docksider. (Now I'm so embarrassed). The place looked clean enough and we found a table no problem. It was not crowded as there were no big sports events happening. Anyway our order arrived wrong. I ordered non breaded chicken wings and they came breaded and not what we ordered. My wife and I were famished and we grabbed a chicken wing each and ate bit them before we realized the order was wrong. No big deal as I am fairly easy going. Well they brought the right wings after that but only brought 8. I ordered 10 Chicken wings but apparently they think their customers are trying to scam chicken wings LOL. Bring what I paid for goodness sake. Then my daughter ordered chicken alfredo or pasta dish. She asked me to try a bite with a frown on her face. Never have I had chicken this dry in my life. You could barely be able to swallow it was that dry. She is normally a big eater but could not stomach her meal and gave up. My wife ordered fish Tacos and wow they were like a minnow in each Taco and just barely a few shreds of lettuce, I mean teeny shreds bordering on microscopic. I wanted to complain but my daughter wanted to just leave and make the best of the rest of the night. BTW I rarely leave reviews. I run a retail business and a small farm and usually do not take the time. If you go on a big sports day and drink beer and eat sports bar fare then maybe its OK for you. If you have any desire for anything else stay away. I will never go there again. Came in for a friends birthday. Out server Mike was great. Very knowledgeable about menu. He recommended the Seafood pasta for me. I was surprised that it had white fish, shrimp AND LOBSTER. A lot of it too, did not skimp for $13.99. Friend had perrogies(sp?) and wings with gator sauce. He too was happy with his dishes. I asked for extra lemon and he happily brought me a bowl full. Went here for the first time tonight. I wanted to see if the long lines were for extraordinary food or just people's curiosity. Turns out it's more of the latter, but this is still a solid sports bar. I had the buffalo tenders which didn't disappoint. The house-made chips were also solid. My gripe is the lack of flexibility. Upon walking in, I noticed the blackboard was advertising a "Wing Flight - 12 wings in 5 different sauces." So I didn't think it would be a problem to order 8 tenders in just 2 different sauces. Turns it out it was a problem. The staff weren't eager to meet this request, and they just tossed all 8 in the same sauce. I'm wondering why they have the ability to put 12 wings in 5 sauces but not 8 tenders in 2 sauces. Odd... Also, my wife's request for them to grill the gator rather than "hand-bread" it was turned down. Not sure why they couldn't just refrain from breading and use their grill. Flexibility issues wouldn't be a big deal if there weren't 100 restaurants within a 2-mile radius that do go above and beyond for every customer. We'll give them another shot and hopefully the experience will be better. read more

So we went here for about the same reason as my fellow yelpers..THE LINE..it is always out the door down the sidewalk. The wait wasn't bad (about 15 min) ..we get seated..order our drinks..to just be told they were out of Shocktop ( beer), so I simply changed my choice to Blue Moon..it wasn't very cold..actually room temperature..but it's beer..I drank it! Our food was good..I got the Rib/wing combo..dry rub on ribs (drenched in salt and pepper which may be their house rub..but if u don't like salt..don't get it). Wings I got in hot sauce. Very disappointed in my last few visits to Gators, not sure what's going on? When they first opened everything was wonderful. Service was prompt, quality of food was excellent... Not seeing that anymore. We went last night, sat at the bar as we always do, it took quite while to get waited on (she did acknowledge us, unlike last time - 1st ding) took even longer for her to get to us to take our order (ding, It was like a mirror of our last visit). She was definitely a bit overwhelmed, not sure by what? I watched to see if anybody would step in to help, ah, a manager shows up behind the bar and just stood there gazing out the window? We ordered eight wings and were served 6 (ding) got six, boneless chicken was cold (ding) however I will the Greek salad was good... We ordered french fries, one would think you would get fresh cooked french fries, my expectations and what I was paying for. The french fries had been hanging around for a while. We ordered seasoned fries, not sure if they were or not, shouldn't have been my job to try to figure it out (ding ding)? Trust me, I am not a complainer and when I have to say something once I hate to have to say something again because it seems like I am that "customer" that the kitchen staff and server now hate! This has been going on now the last few times we've visited and I think the public needs to know what to expect when they arrive. Ordered food to go today and we got home and they forgot most of our order. The fries were soggy. Just a huge mess. Not sure where to start with this review. Let's start by the fact that I ordered a beer off their menu, 10 minutes later the waitress comes back and tells me they do not have it, I ordered another beer and it was more than five minutes before she returned telling me they no longer have that beer either. My first beer was almost finished when she finally came back to take my food order. When the food finally arrived it was a great disappointment. Especially when the waitress told me how good the porkchops are but the ones she brought me are far from what she described The outside deck was not even half full but every table was finished eating waiting on the waitress. Every table had issues with their food and with the service and wanted to speak with the manager who took a very long time before she arrived. The manager assured us that she would make it better. When my bill finally arrived it was incorrect. The waitress Took my credit card and in the process of three other tables being very unhappy she proceeded to mix up what credit card went with what table. Nothing better than having a waitress walk around with my credit card asking other tables if it belongs to them. At this point the manager was tired of everyone complaining and basically told each table that she was doing everything she could but in fact she was doing nothing There are several good restaurants within walking distance, any of them will be a much better choice read more

We used to love to go to Gators and have a few beers and dinner. Meh... we ordered take out one day and the food was actually still in the bags that they throw in hot water to heat up. Once you actually see that the food is pre made and heated up in a water bath it kind of ruins things. I don't know what level of not caring the cooks have to be at to just throw bags of food in a to go container, but these cooks are there. They are a sports bar however management is very ill-prepared to handle the number of people who come in, especially on Sunday. Sadly this place appears to have settled into sub-mediocre status. The food remains solid but the service and environment are so off the mark it's become not worth the hassle. Sat 10 minutes today in a very quiet bar before being noticed, decided to grab a beer and take my food to go... the curtains were down on the patio and a couple smokers out there was enough to saturate the whole interior with the funk. Ran out without my phone, came back for it and the whole table was cleared and reset with my phone still sitting there. Not their job, but I might have appreciated them securing it. Fortunately it wasn't busy. Anyway, my wings were good, got 2 servings of Bleu Cheese not the ranch I requested... used ranch from my fridge. If Frankie's did grilled I'd probably have cut bait after waiting 5 min and being walked past unacknowledged by a few waitresses. Truthfully, the smoking at the front door has gotten so bad the funk probably would have turned me away if I hadn't just come from a run and had my heart set on the wings. It's enough that I'd never roll my kids in there. Anyway, I'm far from sensitive on smoke and fairly forgiving of service industry... but a Saturday afternoon during playoff season at a sports restaurant should never be this big a miss.
