Believe it or not the foundation stone for the building was laid in 1897 and was served as a police station for the next 73 years. In the 1970s it was turned into a Community Centre and is right next to Hill Top Library. The Community Centre is available to local people and is also available to hire. From social meetings, clubs and parties these are some of the events that can be held at the Centre. There is a Large Room and Small Room that can be hired out. Attending Tabla class at the Community Centre means I am at the Centre on a regular basis. Our class takes place in the Large Room and to be honest it is pretty spacious. Youth Clubs, Slimming Clubs as well as Luncheon Clubs take place at the Community Centre.

Indoor Olympic set up also which is available to locals and schools etc for training indoors. Great customer service and always help full. Showers and lockers available with drinks machine and food. There's also plenty of room for the circuits in the aerobics room. (I do Claire's circuits - you do the same if you want to get trained hard!) There's loads of outdoor space. There's the Wolverhampton indoor football training facility, outdoor grass football pitches, outdoor astro football pitches, tennis courts, cycle track, running track and a field in the middle of that for everything else! There's probably a lot more that I'm forgetting, too! No swimming pool though. Plenty of places to park.

Without question the staff are very friendly and they will answer your questions/queries without any hesitation. Hill Top Library is accessible for disabled users and there are books for all ages. The latest booksellers, books on CD's as well as DVD's for children are some of things you will find at the Library. And that's not all. There is free access to the Internet and email as well as printing facilities being available. You can also get support with homework and have access to online information resources.
