I have used the Community Centre on a couple of occasions and I have been happy with the experience I have had. My mother has also taught aerobics at the Centre and said she was happy having her classes held at the Centre. The Community Centre has a gym and also a room where you can use the computers for internet access. You would need to phone the Centre on the above number to find out about the use of the gym and computers. But every time I have visited the Centre, I have not been disappointed and it pretty spacious. Parking can at times be a nightmare and you may have to pay to park.

Without question the staff are very friendly and they will answer your questions/queries without any hesitation. Hill Top Library is accessible for disabled users and there are books for all ages. The latest booksellers, books on CD's as well as DVD's for children are some of things you will find at the Library. And that's not all. There is free access to the Internet and email as well as printing facilities being available. You can also get support with homework and have access to online information resources.

With a pool table, a recording studio, big TV and a sport hall there is always something to do and at the very least it is a safe place for young people to hang out with their friends. In schools holidays the youth service offer day time activities from trips out to the Duke of Edinburgh Award. The community centre acts as a space for groups and clubs to hire out from a church group, a dance crew, to karate classes there is a diverse timetable of things going on that will be of interest to someone in your family. Whilst it's brilliant having such a great community space with community members putting stuff on they still need people to support and attend, if you live nearby or have just moved to the area then pop in and chat to someone as they are a friendly enough bunch to help.

I think this particular branch of the Sally Army was a bit of a disappointment for me, as they stocked a LOT of clothes, but not a lot else. There was a small array of books, but nothing to pique my interest. If you're after anything for your wardobe - this shop has the most clothes wedged in out of any charity shop I went to in Halesowen!

The original Salvation Army hall was destroyed to make way for the massive Tesco that now looms over the town. This replacement hall was built on Meredith Street and as these places go, it is a pretty smart and well-equipped place of worship. There's a big car park, which is always packed during services. There's also a nice conservatory/café area here they hold craft groups, meet ups and meals for local elderly people. They also have a play area and run moms and toddlers groups.
